Third Evolution (1)

This is the third time Matthew had gone inside his consciousness to undergo the evolution process, so he didn't get confused at all by the complete darkness and the floating feeling that his body is currently feeling.

'This empty and floating feeling doesn't actually feel that bad if you get used to it.'

But Matthew didn't come here for enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of complete darkness, so he said in his mind,

'System, view initial evolution.'

In the middle of the darkness, Matthew finally sees the familiar 3D hologram that visualizes how his body will look like after the evolution.

'As I've guessed, my body does double in size again.'

Matthew's body is now about 2 and a half meters long, and his overall size is only slightly smaller than the wolves. Matthew's wolf head that he had shrunk before to fit his body size, already back to its full glory. The size of his teeth also had gotten bigger along with his mouth.

And with the teeth have gone back to their original look. Now, it also gave the same sharp and intimidating look like the one that the wolves have. And Matthew's current look also didn't look any less intimidating than the original wolves.

Matthew admired his new body and the dangerous vibes that it gives off, and he thought to himself,

'I think there's a high chance that the deers will run away on their own when they look at me now. And I'm sure that they will be even more scared if the upgrade I have in mind is possible..'

The usual rectangular box then appeared again on Matthew's left side. And the evolution catalog is written on it.

Matthew swept through the list and thought,

'It's pretty similar to last time, with the increase and massive increase stuff.'

'And d*mn, my tongue got a Massive Increase again! How long would my tongue be after this evolution? If the evolution followed the same pattern as the last evolution, then my tongue should be around three times longer than my body size!'

'Wait that means… my tongue used to be around 3 meters long when my body was around a meter long, then… If my body is 2 and a half meters long, my amazing tongue will be around 7 and a half meters!'

'With that kind of length, it may be possible for me to choke 2 deers at the same time if I get creative with the way I use my tongue. Hmm… Maybe I should start re-learning how to tie knots from boy scouts time?'

Matthew then read the bottom part of the log and noticed that the venom potency got an upgrade again.

'The venom potency still got an upgrade, so that means that it should be +2 right? And the wolf's head and claws should be +1 then.'

'Okay system, please proceed to the special evolution tab!'

The moment the special evolution tab opened, the first thing that caught Matthew's attention was the number 7795 written under bionutrients storage.

'Oh my holy old and wise bearded God! Where did all those bionutrients come from!? It's twice as much since the last time I checked the info tab!'

Matthew was quite startled at first, but after remembering what he had done for the last few days, it finally makes sense in his head,

'After eating 2 more crocodiles and 14 monkeys, I guess it would be weird if I don't have this much bionutrients...'

'But this is good news then! I'm pretty sure that the upgrade I wanted will succeed if the problem is only related to bionutrients.'

Matthew then proceeds to check the wandering spider list to see if the +2 venom glands is available, and he found it under the +1 venom glands at the bottom of the list.

Matthew then proceeds to see the wolf list and checks to see if the +1 wolf claws and +1 wolf head are available, but even after scrolling down to the bottom of the list, he still didn't find it.

'System, why can't I find the +1 wolf claws or wolf heads? don't they also get an upgrade after the evolution?'

'The wolf's head and claws are now considered as host's original body parts. The increase on host's body size, mass, and overall muscle strength in the evolution catalog are counted as the upgrade on the wolf's head and claws.'

'The venom potency increase is also included in the evolution catalog, but the venom glands still got a +1 when I evolve, why is it different?'

'The venom glands are different because host's original body doesn't have a venom gland.'

'I also didn't have a wolf's head in my original body, I still don't get the point, system.'

'In host's original body, host already has a chameleon head and chameleon claws. But after host replaced the chameleon head with the wolf head, and the chameleon claws with the wolf's claw, the wolf head had become the new 'chameleon head' and is considered to be the original host's body parts, and the same is applied to the wolf claw.'

'While the case with the venom gland is different. Host's original body didn't have any venom gland or some sort, hence why when host added an entirely new organ that host didn't have from the start, it will have a +1 after the evolution.'

'So what you are saying is, if I added wings from a bird then the wings will have +1 after evolution, but if I changed my 4 legs to the crocodile's legs then it won't get a +1 because I already have 4 legs from the start and the crocodile legs have become the original body parts of my chameleon body?'

'Yes, Host is correct.'

'I didn't really get it, but what's important is that they also got stronger after I evolved, right?'

'... Host is correct.'
