A hand gripped my upper right arm, painfully. I hesitantly lifted my head and saw Wyatt’s father, the former Alpha King, looking ready to kill someone; his eyes glowing red and a growl escaped his mouth.
I gulped. Shit.
“How dare you disrespect your king! I suggest you explain why you spilled wine all over my suit then left without a word or I will not hesitate to kill you, brat” He snarled, tightening his grip on my arm. I winced, tears forming in my eyes.
When I didn’t answer, his hand went straight to my neck immediately, cutting off my oxygen.
I was praying for someone to help me, but no one did. I couldn’t do anything, I just let him strangle me to death. I closed my eyes waiting for my end.
Then his hand released me, my breath hitched. This is it, I’m dead. Oh, Goddess! Dawn, I’m sorry for eating your muffins last week!
