Time away from home had been kind the Maetos. The one hundred years he had been away from family, he had made a name for himself.

But not on Earth, in Space. He had a reputation as a 'Hunter, Warrior, Gladiator and Mercenary'. He was someone who seeked battle of all kinds. His….hobby took him to the planet, Maligathar, home to 'Amelith The Consumer'.

A great plains like planet awaited Maetos, as he stepped from his personal ship.

"Where are you, beast? SHOW YOURSELF!" Maetos impatiently yells.

He wondered around the planet for days, looking for the supposed beast. He had reluctantly tracked down the indigenous people, many had cowered away from him, due to him looking so fearsome he falsely deduced in his mind.

'COWARDS, THE LOT OF THEM!' Rage at cowardice burned in his heart as he saw the looks upon the natives faces.

"You make me sick." Maetos says as he leaves on of the newly discovered caves the puny people love to cower away in.

His search continued, until he finally saw something interesting.

The day had been hell for her. Being taken from her cave clan by a group of 'sand stalkers'. Savage grassland clans of the Maligacian people. They routinely took marriage aged girls from camps during nightfall, most had never been seen again.

But she would. Born 20 shifts ago to her father, Xoclic and her mother, M'Jorai to a cave clan. She was raised to be fearful and wary of anything and everything, she simply was not.

Never had she felt fear through her shifts.(named after how many times she felt the ground shift from Amelgith.)She embraced it. If Amelith was to consume her then fearing him would jot save her, she thought.

An unspecified amount of time after her 20th shift, she was kidnapped in the dark of night by cowards.

Long had she believed them to be cowards, they couldn't fight head on so they snuck, how…..whorey.

"Ill slice you up! Who do you think you are!" She yells at her captives as she dodges their attacks.

Swipes from the duo sent her into a dodging frenzy.

"COME HERE!" One of them shouted as they shouted, he lunged sloppily which caused him to trip when the woman dodged back, taking a chance to end her opponent, a quick slash of her bone dagger, and her weapon pierced his throat.

She watched as he fell to the ground gurgling, in shock. Never had she killed a person. She had no time to rest as the other opponent tackled her to the ground.

"GIVE UP! I RIGHTFULLY CLAIM YOU AS MY OWN!" He screamed psychotically.

They struggled on the ground as she wildly scratched at his eyes, his hands on her throat squeezed in annoyance at her attempts.

"GIVE UP! YOU ARE MY BETROTHED NOW!" He screamed again.

Punches and scratches battered him, until she weakly reached for his bone dagger, making a final attempt at salvation, she stabbed at his body.

The first stab made him erupt into a shout of pain. His hands released her, she continued up on her attack, numerous stabs from the bone dagger made his body gushy and ooze their black blood.

"Interesting." She hears a voice from behind her. Startled she moves away from it to attack once again. Momentarily surprised at her opponents feline like face, she still attacks.

The mortal woman lunged at him.

'Hah!' Maetos amusedly exclaims internally.

He simply dodged the first lunge, the second he redirected expertly to where she fell on her face, eating a mouthfull of dirt.

"Stop." He said to the mortal woman. She didn't, she lunged once more, this time bot feeling amused but annoyed, he lightly slapped her chest, sending her into the air with the wind knocked out of her.

She lands a couple feet away from him.

"Girl, where is Amelith?" He asks her.

She is shocked by his answer, was he dumb? "W-what do you mean?"

"Did you not understand me, stupid? Where is Amelith?" He says once more.

"What! You disrespect me, I kill you!" She says unintelligibly.

"No, I kill you girl, you give me answers, I no kill you, stupid." Maetos dumbs down his speech for the girl.

"You kill me? I kill you and you again! Ill kill you twice times, stupid!-"

Their argument continues on until the mortal tires out first. Taking an embarrassing loss to the God.

'Another one.' Maetos says internally at beating another opponent.

"Now, tell me where I find big boy Amelith." He says.

Giving up on the tiresome battle she says, "You cant. Just wait for shift, it come then." She says.

"You telling me to wait? I have to wait some more? What the fresh hell is going on?" Maetos raged silently at the news.

He felt a tug on his arm. "You teach me? Teach? Teach? Teach? Teach? Teach-" she repeats over and over again as she batters him with questions.

"Whats your name?" He asks.

"Xi'Isha."

"Are you worth my time?" He asks.

"I don't know-"

"Thats not a good start. You have one minute."

"What is that-"

"Yes, yes, just get on with it."

"You not kill me-"

"Already established."

"-You strong-"

"I know."

"-And fast-"

"I know."

"-And stupid-"

"I know-…damn you mortal!" He exclaims in embarrassment.

"I help you, you help me."

"How? Why?"

"You strong and fast. I never see you before, you unique, come from sky? Take me with."

Her broken language made Maetos irritated but he kept his composure.

"Thats all? I could award you something greater." He says.

"I go with you. I stay with you."

'Ughh, she wants to follow me…ill have to train her like a pet. That doesn't sound so bad.'

"Alright mortal, you show me where Amelith goes during these, 'shifts' and ill take you to the sky."

She nods at his words.

'Soon…Amelith will know my name and feel my furious anger.'
