Chapter 13

In the stands, the fans were shouting as if they had just won the premier league.

If asked why this is because, in their mind, they were already imagining the future where the young boy wearing number 24 was playing in the main team.

In one game, they saw a foreshadowing of greatness, so they sang.

Akin stood, arms raised as the final whistle blew, full of excitement as his heart was still racing from the thrill of the last 40 minutes.

Some of his teammates ran over, rubbing his head and patting his back.

Even the usually stoic Noble was grinning like a loon as they celebrated the tough win.

The others went over to console their friends who were playing in the Chelsea U15 team.

The official came over, holding the match ball with a small smile.

Akin felt a hand push him forward to meet him as he received the match ball.

The official handed him the ball and spoke,

"You played a great game, lad, you worked hard, and I could see how passionate you were. I look forward to seeing the type of player you grow into."

Accepting the ball, Akin smiled and stretched out his hand.

The two shook as he responded,

"Thank you, sir. I promise to continue working hard, so you can rest assured there are still more amazing games to be played."

The official laughed as he shook his hands, eyes shined with some appreciation.

Although the words were arrogant, they were delivered in a way that was neither boastful nor flattering, making the man believe that what he was stating was a fact.

Meanwhile, up in the stands, others have begun to take notice of the youngest striker from Hale End.

Many scouts are present today; there were always scouts searching for young talent.

Arsenal U15 can be said to be making a reputation; after all, they have trained many talented young players.

Several types of agents were looking for young talented players; some had worked for a long time but were unknown.

Some were hoping to find a star that could make their career; some had worked for a long time but had terrible reputations.

So they could only look too young academy players. Some worked in big competitive agencies looking to bring in the money maker, including young interns searching for an opportunity.

Jerome Anderson was still a young agent and had yet to establish himself at his new firm, Sports entertainment and Management.

The firm was large, and the competition was fierce; he was relatively young as an agent at 27.

However, he was pretty ambitious, so he also dreamt of representing a world-class striker for England.

Jerome had been an Arsenal fan his entire life, so he often came to the youth games just to see the young talent, but for the past five years.

His luck was not great, as many U15 players were already under an agency.

Still, he enjoyed watching the talents that could one day represent his club, so he often showed up as just another Gooner.

During the first half, he had been so disgusted he had almost gone home; however, he decided to stay and was very grateful to do so.

After Number 24 came on the pitch, the young agent found that his entire focus had been centred on the boy.

He was not the tallest on the pitch, but something about him was different; it was not until the game started that Jerome understood.

When the first goal came, Jerome stood and celebrated like an excited fan; the goal had been an absolute shock to the system.

He didn't think he would see such a high technical level in a U15 game, especially from an 11-year-old.

Then the second goal came, he was still excited, but at the same time, he had something else on his mind as he stared at the boy,

It's like watching a professional play against amateurs…

The impression he got from watching Jerome as he was watching an adult play, he was mature, knew when to pass, when to hold the ball, and how to run off the ball.

When the third goal was scored, he didn't get excited at all; he just stared with amazement as he watched Akin slot the ball to Barret.

The pass timing and the power were just right for the other striker to push the ball into the net.

This is a gem…

Jerome, at this point, was almost drooling as his eyes stared down at the pitch, watching the Number 24 wearing a yellow away kit.

When he watched the boy finish the game by knocking in a free-kick, his eyes were shining as he could feel his ambition rise as he saw the free-kick beat the keeper.

He began strategising how he would approach the boy as the game ended.

When Alicia came to the game, she wanted to support her son.

She wasn't a football fan and had little knowledge about the game, but this is the game her son loved and spent so much time and effort on.

She worried when he started, aware that the world was filled with talented people.

She had no knowledge of measuring a genius in football but knew that her son was a hard worker.

She feared that one day her son, who worked so hard, would meet a genius and suffer a huge shock.

However, she soon found out that the one who would be shocked would be her; she had watched her son train but never seen him play a real match, but when she watched him play, she realised,

Ah, so my son was a genius this whole time…

She only knew now that her son was more than just really good he was the youngest on the pitch, but the other team could barely touch his shirt, let alone take the ball, but now she had a new worry.

Kat, who had accompanied her best friend to support her godson, had turned to her in excitement and said,

"Look how good our boy is; you better get him an agent soon because it looks like he's gonna be a Superstar!"

Alicia realised that she really needed to find him an agent.

Especially since she was sure that there was no doubt that he would pursue a football career.

At the same time, she also became aware of a problem because she had no idea how she was supposed to find one,

It's not like a good agent will walk up to me and ask for a meeting, right?
