The death envoy remained silent for a while after hearing the question, but eventually, he raised his head to meet Mr. Drake's gaze.
"Yes, the boy finally took action after a week of waiting," he said.
"Oh, I was beginning to think he might just hole up in his house forever without doing a thing. Of course, someone with enough ball to impersonate my envoy wouldn't be kept down for long by the loss of a loved one... I'm surprised it took him this long to act," Mr. Drake replied, a smile tugging at his lips.
"So, what did he do? Investigate? Interrogate?" Mr. Drake inquired.
"None of that," the death envoy replied simply.
"So what then?" Mr. Drake couldn't help asking, his brows knitting together in curiosity.
"He visited the hunters' guild, likely because of the recent update to the list of missing persons," the death envoy explained.
