Pokemon Wacky Adventure

It's all begun on a fateful day.

My name is John Dickinson.

I am an absolutely normal person.

I am working as an ordinary office worker, in an indie game production house founded by me and my friends, my fellow otakus and gamers from my campus right after we graduated from our IT University.

What do I do in my works? Oh, of course I am working as a programmer and also as the tester and debugger in making the games on our company.

Although we are not making a lot of money, but we are also not living in poor condition, too.

Just so - so, I guess.

Enough for living now and I can also have a saving for the future when I will get married to my current girlfriend and make my own family someday.

What? You think a otaku programmer like me can't have a girlfriend?

You look at Bill Gates, doesn't he have a wife and a lot of kids?

But Bill Gates is not an otaku, you say?

Okay, then take a look at those manga and light novel authors who is absolutely more otaku than even me.

Aren't a lot of them also have a wife?

Why can't I have a girlfriend, too?

Okay, okay, we have gotten a bit off from the track now.

Anyway, I am currently dating my junior who is still studying on campus.

Well, even if I call her my junior, our age gap are more than 5 years apart, to the point that people often joked that my girlfriend must be loving vintage items, since her boyfriend is "vintage" a.k.a. way older than her.

By the way, I am quite happy with my works in our production house that is more like a productive hobby to me, and also with our friendly work environment unlike in those capitalist sweat shop corporate offices where their workers are often times overworked, overtime, while being underpaid.

But it all changes on one night, just after I and my friends go home together after we closed our production house to enjoy the weekends from the eve of Saturday to Sunday night.

When we are about to cross the road (yeah, we walked on foot from our production house), my girlfriend who is already waiting for me on the other side of the road are smiling and waving her hand to me, on which I wave my hand back to her.

And as she gingerly running up to meet me in the middle of the zebra cross when the light are still red....

Suddenly, a Wild Truck-kun Appeared!

Yeah, I am not kidding.

I see a Big, Bad, Giant Container Truck running on full speed towards us.

It have no sign of stopping or even reducing its speed while the light are clearly still red.

Panicking, everyone who is still crossing the road immediately run away to the road side, making the situation on the crowded zebra cross quite chaotic.

As I am holding hands with my girlfriend so that we don't get separated in the midst of the chaos, or maybe it's because we are also panicking that we found comfort from holding our hands together....

Suddenly some unknown bastards pushed my girlfriend out of their way just so that they can get faster to their goal.

My girlfriend is pushed quite hard until she fall down on the road and she even sprained her leg.

As I see the truck-kun approach us even closer, I do what every man who loved their girl do.

Mustering all of my might, I throw my girlfriend out of the range of the truck-kun rampage.

Leaving me alone with the truck heavily crushed to me.

The last thing I heard before my consciousness fading away in the darkness is the sound of my girlfriend's histerical crying.

1. English is not my main language, so do forgive me if my grammar is a bit wacky, as wacky as the adventures in this novel.

2. Also don't expect real life logic to be working 100% of the time here. This is not a reality. This work is a fictional story taking place in a fictional world that is a slap-dash fusion of many games I have played and animes that I have watched. So expect all lot of absurd anime logic in here instead.

3. Although this novel take a lot from Pokemon franchises, but there are a lot of things that is different from its game, manga and anime counterparts. For example, aside from normal, ordinary Pokemons you can found in the vanilla Pokemon franchises, there also exist some mons that I created by myself or taken from other fanmade, unofficial Pokemon games. The most obvious is the existence of Moemons, the Monster Girl variants of Pokemon that is, in a nutshell, are a mix of Pokemons and cute human girls.

4. Aside from the example above, one other major difference from Pokemon in this novel than Pokemon in the games / mangas / animes is that now the Pokemon in this novel can have more than a single ability and they are also not dumb enough to the point that they can only learn a limited number of 4 moves at any one time. So yeah, you can have a Pokemon with 2 or even 3 abilities and also having learned more than 100 kinds of moves (as for how you as a trainer or even the Pokémon themselves can remember all the moves they know is up to the reader's imagination).

5. Last but not least, as long as I as the Author think that a Move is make sense to be learned by a Pokemon, then that Pokemon can learn that move. So don't be surprised if you see, for example, a Stantler that can use Bulk Up. However, if I deem a move is straight out not matching with a Pokemon, then I won't make it happens. So you will still never found a Charizard that can do a String Shot or a Wishiwashi that can spew out a Draco Meteor.
