I made my way to the auditorium by myself. It was empty and soundless. The lights were open as were the air conditioners. At the isle, I look above at our large banner behind the balcony. Holding the railways was Madam Boss, her smile widening the closer I am from her.
"Contente de te voir, how was breakfast?"
"It was excellent. I had a great tea time with Charlotte."
"The Castelia tea is one of the best. I do enjoy it too. Come up here, will you, Luna?"
I emitted a quaff and made my pace slower.
"Hurry, please. I still have a lot to take care of."
I hurtled up the stairs.
I were wind-chimes in a spring breeze, never a storm to bring all the wrong kinds of excitement.
The left side of her faint red lip tugged upwards creating a smug smirk on her god like face; casting a spell of fright to eyes that dare look her way.
"It is about time that you leave the Elite Operative rank."
I was giddy with joy. "Am I getting a promotion?"
"Yes, yes, you are."
"So you mean, I'm a Master Ranked agent?"
"No. Way beyond that. Do be silent about this in front of Pierce unless you want him to envy you. Since you uphold a legendary Pokemon, I expect that you could bring further greatness to Team Rocket. I have strong and undeniable faith; thus, I wish not to take what is yours and have the ownership of Zekrom. You'll be needing it for your Arid adventures."
"So that's the name of the archepalgo? Arid?"
"Yup. You have a great purpose there."
"Ooh! Can I know?"
"I'll send it to your inbox tomorrow. You can read it during your voyage in S.S. Stravinsky."
"A voyage... Will the mission be tough?"
"Hmm, depends on how you'd like to call it. It will require a ton of island hopping. I suppose you love that- having time for fresh breeze while journeying out for what I want. Onto the appointment."
She presented to me two epaulettes. Both had a silver leaf clover symbol but the clover had seven points.
"I appoint you colonel of Team Rocket," declared she, placing the epaulettes on my hand.
My brain stuttered for a moment and my eyes took in more light than I expected, every part of me went on pause while my thoughts caught up.
"There's a colonel suit for you waiting under your bed. I hid it there in case you want to surprise your friends about your new rank. These epaulettes are optional to wear including your new outfit. It'd be a shock to officers and police to see you randomly walking around wearing that eh? For this lone mission, wear comfortable clothes - those you use in your day-off."
"So, I have to switch the microchip for every dress I change," said I to myself.
"Thank you, Madam Boss. It's-- It's an honor." I said. It was the only thing I could think of saying.
"You think a colonel's plain duty is like an Elite or Master? No." She moved closer to my ears. "You have your own brigandage when you return from your lone mission."
"Brigandage? Like Brigandier stuff?"
She giggled. "My are you enthusiastic. Yes, you control a portion of Team Rocket agents. This includes your friends and anyone who are either elite operatives, grunts, master and anyone who has a lower rank than you. You won't get used to it at your first go, but sooner or later, being a colonel is much better than what you realize. Of course, someone can command you."
"Who, if I may?"
"Me, my secretary, the generals and admirals of Team Rocket."
"I never knew we were this big in terms of--"
"That's what you get for disregarding your handbook in the first place!"
"Hehe, sorry about that. Madam Boss, if we have generals and admirals, where are they?"
"Controlling the other regions since I'm focused with dealing with the Unova Region. We even have one who has an eye patch. Now go leave with pride. I believe you still have something to boast to your friends."
"... We even have one who has an eye patch?"
Anyone familiar with this Rocket general from the anime? Trivia time!
