CHAPTER 36 – VS ERIKA (PART THREE) (Fixed)

In the previous chapter we see how Ash is victorious against Erika after an impressive strategy with Pikachu, now, it is the turn of Nancy, where two of his three Pokémon have been weakened as with Erika, now the fight consists of Vileplume against Shaymin, being the first of them quite touched.

With Nancy.

Shaymin nodded and used Airl Slash, but this time instead of throwing it at a specific target, he threw it in different directions, thus clearing the remaining Poison Dust in the air and regaining the mobility it had before.

"Make me go down with Sludge Bomb!"

"Since you want me to go down, that's what he will do, go ahead, go down!"

Vileplume launched his Sludge Bomb at full speed, however, Shaymin's swift action caused none of them to hit the target and land directly on the ground.

"Right where I wanted, Petal Dance!"

"Intercede him with Seed Flare!"

Vileplume quickly headed towards Shaymin, however, a greenish light came out of his body and hit him causing Vileplume to back away.

"Recover and use Sludge Bomb!"

"None of that, it's time to end this, Air Slash!"

Vileplume managed to use his attack, but at a high speed, Shaymin dodged him and got right next to Vileplume and used an Air Slash that sent him flying, falling to the ground completely weakened.

"Vileplume cannot continue, Shaymin wins and therefore it is the victory of the challenger Nancy!" – said Luciana.

"We did it Shaymin, we won!" – I said as I hugged Shaymin with joy.

"Min!" she nodded too.

Then came the round of congratulations from Ash and the other girls, that's when he handed me my fourth Gym medal, the Rainbow Medal, it was so pretty and resplendent and it also meant that I was already halfway there, but also the hardest half, from now on we get into the hard part, but for now let's focus on Verity's combat, once she finishes, we will plan our next move.

Both Ash and Nancy had won their respective medals, so now only me is left, so after Erika went to find her three unweakened Pokémon, we got into position.

"The rules are simple, 3 vs 3, the first one to weaken the opponent's Pokémon, win, let the battle begin!" – said Luciana.

"Then let's not waste time, Tangela, I choose you!"

"Shroomish, it's your turn!"

Both Pokémon came out of their Pokéball ready to battle.

"You are such for which, also wanting to overcome your limits by testing yourself!" – said Erika.

But before he could say anything else, suddenly, a glowing light enveloped Shroomish.

"Is it really evolving? If we don't even start the fight" – exclaimed Erika surprised.

But what she doesn't know is that my Pokémon and I had been training hard and, apparently, the results are noticeable.

Shortly after, the light dissipated and the new Pokémon was seen.

"Breloom data has been recorded in the Pokédex!" – that was the Rotom Dex.

"In I'm not surprised anymore, let's go Tangela, use Energy Ball!"

"Dodge it and use Match Punch!"

Breloom was able to easily dodge the Energibola and, with great speed, connected an Match Punch that sent the Tangela flying.

"Try to get up and get closer to him!"

"Don't let him, use Match Punch again!"

Obviously, Breloom hit the Match Punch, but just as it hit, something happened.

"Don't let him go, use Vine Whip, and stop him from leaving!"

Tangela wrapped Breloom with her Vine Whip preventing her escape, it seems that she has learned from her previous two fights, this is the disadvantage of going last, I think next time I will try to be the second when fighting.

"Try to get out!"

But even though Breloom tried, Tangela wouldn't let him leave.

"Now, hit him with Sludge Bomb!"

A Sludge Bomb hit Breloom directly, sending it flying and taking a lot of damage from it.

"Hehe, now that we know what you can do, it's our turn, Headbutt!"

"Do the same as before and use Sludge Bomb!"

Tangela was hit by Breloom, but managed to grab him and tried to use Sludge Bomb.

"You fell squarely, throw it in the air!"

Breloom raised his head hard and threw Tangela into the air.

"Now, use Match Punch and send it to the ground!"

Breloom jumped up with all his might and prepared to use his Match Punch.

"We won't leave without a fight, Sludge Bomb!"

A Sludge Bomb literally hit Breloom, but in return the Match Punch smashed Tangela to the ground, weakening in the process.

"Tangela can't continue, Breloom wins!" – said Luciana.

"Haa... in truth they are all amazing, but thanks to you I also improved, let's show you that improvement, let's go Victreebel!"

Victreebel came out of his Pokéball ready to fight.

"Okay, let's finish quickly, use Match Punch!"

"Poison Jab!"

Both attacks collided with each other causing a small shock wave, but that did not end there.

"Keep up with Match Punch!"

"You too, use Poison Jab at full power!"

Breloom and Victreebel kept beating each other until, the inevitable happened, Breloom fell weak, apparently underestimating the damage he received from Tangela and the strength of Erika's Victreebel.

"Breloom can't keep fighting, Victreebel is the winner!" – said Luciana.

"You did well Breloom and I'm sorry, I underestimated Victreebel" – I said returning Breloom to his Pokéball.

"Okay, then let's show how strong we are, Fuecoco, I choose you!"

Fuecoco came out of his Pokéball jumping happily.

"With a Fuecoco, it's rare to see Paldea Pokémon by Kanto, anyway, let's get this over with, Poison Jab!"

"¡Flame Charge!"

Both attacks collided, but Victreebel was stronger and sent Fuecoco flying, the good thing is that he did not seem to receive fatal damage.

"Are you okay?" – I asked.

"Coco!" – nodded.

"Then let's go, Flame Charge!"

"The first time it didn't work for you and now it doesn't work for you either, use Poison Jab!"

The clash caused the same result, but Fuecoco stood up ostinatedly.

"Again, Flame Charge!"

"Nonsense, Poison Jab!

But this time the same thing did not happen as before because the effects of Flame Charge appeared and Fuecoco was able to dodge the Poison Jab impacting a Flame Charge in Victreebel that retreated quite a bit by the blow and also seemed to receive some damage.

Although Breloom weakened, this one also connected some punches on Victreebel, and he was also tired, this was what he wanted to take advantage of.

"Now that you are tired is the time, use Flame Charge again!"

"Tch, come on Victreebel, don't give up use Poison Jab!"

But it was useless, the speed of Fuecoco had increased to such an extent, that Victreebel could no longer hit him, however, he did succeed and sent Victreebel to fly who fell to the ground weakened.

"Victreebel cannot continue, Fuecoco is the winner!" – said Luciana.

"I see, your strategy was to wear down my Victreebel with your Breloom so that the next Pokémon could easily increase their stats" - Erika nodded.

That's right, that was my strategy.

But before he could say anything, a light enveloped Fuecoco.

"What, is this a joke, is a camera recording me, how come I'm watching yet another evolution, is this a festival of evolutions or what?" – said Erika who couldn't be more surprised.

When the light went out, it gave way to a new Pokémon.

"Crocalor's data has been recorded in the Pokédex!" – and again the Rotom Dex.

To be honest, I expected an evolution, but no more, I am also surprised that two of my Pokémon have evolved in the same battle, but since it has happened, I will not miss that opportunity, with the evolution and my increased speed, our victory is very close.

"Then let's go with the last round, but don't think I'll leave it easy for you, Vileplume, let's prove who's in charge!" – said Erika taking out her third and final Pokémon.

Focalor and Vileplume looked at each other, both seemed to want to win.

"Incinerate!"

"Petal dance!"

The speed of Crocalor made him launch his attack first, but Vileplume was not far behind and also rushed towards Crocalor, luckily, Vileplume received damage, but Crocalor also because it was not expected that Vileplume did not give in to his attack and continue forward.

"Did you think it was going to be easy? Vileplume and I are strong, even if you increased your speed don't think you have the advantage" - said Erika.

"Heh, since that's what you believe, then I'll show you my strength too, no, our strength, Crocalor, come back!" – I said returning to Focalor to his Pokéball.

Then I took another Pokéball out of my pocket, maybe I shouldn't, but Ash won with his Pikachu and Nancy with his Servine, I don't want to be less than them either, so I will.

"Piplup, I choose you!"

Piplup came out of his Pokéball delighted, it had been a while since we both fought, we have trained and stuff, but it has been a long time since we fought in a real combat.

"A Piplup? Anyway, I guess they're such for which, but don't think we'll make it easy for you, Vileplume, Sludge Bomb!"

Vileplume used Sludge Bomb, to be honest I don't know why he used Mud Pump instead of Petal Dance, he must be planning something I don't know yet.

"Dodge it and use Aerial Ace!

That's right, we also have attacks for this type of situation.

Piplup dodged it the Sludge Bomb and headed straight for Vileplume.

"Now, use Petal Dance!"

It seems that he was waiting for just that, waiting for Piplup to approach, but since he knew my strategy, did he fight with some Piplup before?

Returning to the fight, Piplup and Vileplume collided and, surprisingly, Piplup did not lose the clash, but, instead, a glowing light enveloped him.

*Note: here I must make several clarifications, the first, why did I give Verity three evolutions in the same fight? Easy, because I was very late with respect to Ash and Nancy and that cannot be, second question, is it not a coincidence that the three evolve almost at the same time? No, because Verity and her Pokémon trained hard in advance and were already strong enough to evolve, they just needed a boost, some people won't like what I've done? Of course, but I have something I would like to say to those people, this will be the only time you will see something like that, so do not rush to criticize because you will not see it again, end of clarifications, if you have any other questions you are free to ask them, I will answer them with pleasure 😊

That's right, for the third time in this battle, another of my Pokémon faced an evolution, to tell the truth it is surprising, but do not misunderstand me, the surprising thing is that they do it in the same combat, not that they evolve, we had already trained a lot but they did not evolve, Ash, I, Nancy and Koharu thought that maybe it was because they needed a strong stimulus, as happened with Sprigatito and Quaxly before, but since my Pokémon were first evolutionary forms, they evolved much faster, although I guess from now on it will not be easy.

Returning to the battle, when the light went out, my new Pokémon was fully seen.

"Prinplup's data has been recorded in the Pokédex!" – and that was the Rotom Dex for the third time today.

"This looks like a festival of evolutions, but that they have evolved, it doesn't mean anything, get ready, Vileplume, don't give up, use Petal Dance at full power!"

It may have been surprising to us, but don't forget, that both Pokémon were colliding attacks, and with Piplup's recent evolution into Prinplup, my Pokémon gained a significant advantage, sending Vileplume flying.

"Recompose yourself and use Petal Dance again!"

Vileplume quickly recomposed himself and rammed again.

"Aerial Ace again!"

Both collided again, but not only once, they continuously collided, it seems that both were stubborn and did not want to give up or maybe the stubborn ones were us and the Pokémon noticed it and wanted to respond to our expectations, the fact is that, in the end the inevitable happened, of so many clashes, both Pokémon received massive damage, as both attacks were very effective for both Prinplup and Vileplume, so after a couple of minutes both fell to the ground weakened.

"Vileplume and Prinplup can't keep fighting, they both lose, but since the challenger Verity still has one Pokémon left, she's the winner!" – said Luciana.

Next was a lot of congratulations from Ash and the others, I even received a kiss from Ash as a reward, he also said that tomorrow he would give me something else.

And so, it was like me, Nancy and Ash won our 4th Medal, the Rainbow Medal, being so halfway through the Indigo League, but from now on, things will get difficult, but I'm sure we will overcome all those challenges, together.
