You are a Princess!

The birds on the trees are chirping, the wind blows the leaves towards her room as she watches the world outside. "Hey, sis Jera. Why can't I go outside again?" She asks while she draws the city that can be seen from her window. "Because, Princess, you're a royalty. You cannot just go outside and play. Everyone is a threat, they want to harm you." Her pencil broke because of this, why would the people want to harm her? She haven't done anything wrong, she haven't gone outside! Did her family commit any crime to the people? "Oh, I see. But why would they hurt me? I didn't do anything." She said with a teary eye to make her Sis Jera, her maid, to tell the truth. She is every sensitive when it comes to people crying, either she will also cry or she will do what the crying person asks. "Aw, Princess!" She cried as she walks towards the Princess and wipes her tears. "You see, the Weinzoire Family, your family. The royal family, is very strict with people going outside and inside the kingdom. They said it is to keep everyone safe. But the people see it as a restrain from development. They said your family wants to keep the kingdom by themselves as well as its riches." The Princess was shocked, she was not able to answer back. She feels as if she knows what the people feels. She is being kept inside since forever. Never had she went beyond the gates, the city is her dream. "Now, Princess, take a rest. We'll walk around the castle later." Sis Jera takes the pencil and threw it in the bin. She fixes the sketch pad and put it in it's basket with other drawing materials. Sis Jera admires the Princess' ability to draws magnificently. It is as if the paper is alive. "No!" The Princess answered. "I am going outside!" She storms out of her room. Sis Jera followed. She knew that the Princess will get hurt once again if she asks the King and Queen to go out. She held her dress higher to run a bit faster because if there is one thing that the Princess is good at other than drawing, it is to run. "Princess!" She called out yet the Princess is already in her parents' room. She finds her mother braiding her little brother's hair. The queen wished for another girl, but it was a Prince that she got. The Prince got a long hair, and if you don't know that he's a boy, you'll mistake him as a Princess. "Mom- erm, Queen." She addresses, her little brother looked at her and smiled. He was trying to run to her but the Queen restrains him. This made the Princess quite irritated. "Tch, another cage." she thought. "What do you need? You should be taking a rest. We will have our daily walk later." The queen answers with her very soft yet piercing voice. She did not stop from braiding her son's hair and did not even mind to look at her daughter. "Mo- Queen, I WILL go outside." The atmosphere suddenly changed, the little Prince can feel it because he stopped from tapping his shoes. "YOU ARE A PRINCESS! YOU DO NOT GO OUT!" It was a low tone of voice but the impact made shivers run down the Princess' spine. "But Queen," she pleads, the Princess was on the way to kneel but Sis Jera arrived and held her by her shoulders to make her stand. "I am sorry about this, your highness. The Princess is just tired." Sis Jera said, looking at the Princess who is very devastated. "You are a Princess." The Queen pointed out once again. Princess? This is not just a simple word. It means that a Princess is kept inside until the day she needs to go out, and it is when she has to be married. But that day is just a celebration for another restraint. "We'll be on our way." Sis Jera almost pulls the Princess from where she stands and went outside the room before the Princess bursts into tears. "Please, Princess..." Sis Jera wiped the Princess' tears once again, but this time it's a true cry for freedom. How many times did the Princess tried to go out? Since she found out about the outside, she pleads continually to go out. She even tried to climb the gates. "Take a rest.." she said after the Princess went inside her room. "Okay.." The door closed, Railey immediately stood up and did her plan. She changed her clothes, with the plainest clothing she ever had. It blends well with commoners, easy to move and is light to carry. She wore the most comfortable shoes for running and sneaked outside. Silently, she run towards the backyard where there are few guards. Whenever there is a guard on sight, she hides behind the bushes and pots. Her heart beats faster every time she hides. When she was a little far from the castle, she can see the whole building or more like, a cage that held her for so long. While walls, large windows, an architecture that can be taken as a beauty for the rest of its lifetime. "I want to go out." She said while planning the route to the gate. It is easier to climb now, she is taller and much more stronger than she was. "I can do it!" she said to herself when she's near the gate and then ran faster to accumulate the needed push for a higher jump- then she jump around 3-4 feet and climbed. It made a bit of a loud noise that caught the attention of the guards. They immediately run towards and when they saw her they all shouted the same thing, "Please, Princess!" the rushed to catch her, some went inside to report to the King and Queen so she climbed faster. The gate is around 15 feet, and the structure is hard to be climbed. She was already at the top and is ready to slide down outside but, a shout stiffened her whole body. "PRINCESS! COME HERE THIS INSTANCE!" The king's voice echoed, his voice deep and piercing as well. She looked at him with her mother beside the king. She was hesitating because her dreams are just one jump away, but the guards suddenly appeared outside the gate as well. She can feel the wind brushing through her hair. Her clothes sway with the breeze. Tears fell down as she climbs down. The city's view is slowly vanishing in her eyes.
