It is a known fact, but to make his precious daughter a favourable empress, Marquee Bécholot made a friendly offer to Archduke Weselton. Marriage agreement, he killed two brides with one shot. Melantha had no choice but to accept this engagement. She has to be useful to the Béchalot family if she wants to live. Even though she knows that she is the puppet of the Marquee, she gladly accepts this fact. Just because she wants to live longer.
