Percy Jackson and The Olympians : Thunder.

In the year 2059 there was a mission. A manned mission to Alpha centuri. Despite all odds and expectations humanity had overcome its limits and proved once again why it had reigned as earth's dominant species for millenia. The man in question was Tyler Schwarzschild. He had been selected for his perfect track record in travelling from Pluto to Mars in round trips showing great will and tenacity.

With his trusty side kick and faithful AI. Unfortunately this would be the last trip Tyler would ever take.

A black hole containing a singularity an object of infinite density in a 1 dimensional point. Tyler had just discovered a new one. This one completely different and undetectable. He didn't know why it was like that it didn't make sense. Then again the universe didn't whether Tyler understood it or not.

Tyler breathed hard. He had never felt so much fear. Even as his ship drifted in the endless and lonely abyss that was space he let it all sink in. He would die here ... alone. Everyone that would mourn him would die and be forgotten. All his fears, memories, triumphs, struggles and everything to do with him and his entire species would one day end and nothing would be left , swallowed by an infinite and uncaring universe.

"Oxygen levels at 0.01% ."

"Haha , thanks for the reminder Siri." Uncomfortable silence.

"It was an honor to serve with you captain." The break in its voice was clear as day.

"And here I thought those nutjobs on the internet were dead wrong on AI simulating emotion."

"Don't say that!.....please don't say that...." It was now openly wailing.

"What a loser I am ,I don't get to die in a wife's loving arms nor a close friend assuring words ....all I have are the voices in my box ... my head."Tyler ranted completely ignoring the AI. Just then a whole was torn through the wall and Tyler was the first man to be within 40 miles of a black hole.

"Rest well s..." were the last words he heard.

Even as he approached the event horizon he felt dread and guilt overtake him.

" Isn't it lovely all alone ... heart made of glass and mind of stone..."

"But I hoped some day I would make it out of here....."

His last words. His last song. Dying all alone.
