Frightening River [I]

The Black League, the Othello Cult, the Holy Court, the Moses Chamber of Commerce, the Mercenary Union, and all the masters of the dragon and elf clan stopped. Ten meters away in front of them, there is this extremely wide river, which blocks everyone's way horizontally!

Everyone looked at the river in horror. The river turned out to be hundreds of meters wide. Such a wide river is not very common even on the ground, let alone underground.

What's even more weird is that although everyone can hear the loud sound of running water, the river is quite quiet, at least on the surface. If everyone hadn't been convinced that the huge sound of running water came from this river, they might have thought it was an extremely quiet underground river.
