Chapter 30: Noobie attack

The world was forever changed after the execution of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. With his final words, Roger sparked the Great Pirate Era, sending pirates from all over the world in search of the legendary One Piece. Amidst the chaos and the surge of pirate crews entering the Grand Line, one name quickly rose to prominence: Gecko Moria.

Moria, a giant of a man with immense physical strength, was unlike most other pirates. Though he lacked powerful Haki, his Shadow-Shadow Devil Fruit made him a dangerous opponent, allowing him to manipulate shadows to attack or even steal their very shadow . This power granted him a unique advantage against those who relied solely on brute strength or Haki alone. His imposing size, coupled with his shadow abilities, allowed him to face Haki users head-on and turn their own strengths against them.

After arriving in the New World, Moria's ambition was clear: to become the next Pirate King. However, he quickly learned of the three most dominant figures in the New World—Whitebeard, Big Mom, and Kaido. Whitebeard, with his Quake-Quake Fruit, was said to possess the power to destroy the world, and Big Mom, with her Soul-Soul Fruit, could manipulate the very essence of life itself. Both posed significant threats to Moria, whose power was derived from shadows. But Kaido—Kaido of the Beasts—was different. He was a brute who relied on his strength, durability, and Zoan Devil Fruit powers. Moria believed that, unlike Whitebeard or Big Mom, Kaido was vulnerable to his abilities.

With his sights set on Kaido, Moria first needed to prove himself. He defeated a fellow Supernova, Gravel, the Metal-Metal Fruit user, who could transform his body into any metal he touched. Though Gravel's abilities made him a formidable opponent, Moria's control over shadows allowed him to outmaneuver and defeat the metallic pirate, solidifying his reputation among the new generation of pirates.

Fresh from his victory, Moria declared war on Kaido, setting his course toward Shirakawa Island, Kaido's stronghold.

Battle for Shirakawa Island

As Moria and his newly formed pirate alliance sailed toward Shirakawa Island, the tension was palpable. His fleet, comprised of powerful pirates and Devil Fruit users, bristled with anticipation. The ship's deck was filled with murmurs of the impending battle, but Moria remained calm, his confidence bolstered by his victories and his desire to defeat Kaido.

Upon reaching the shores of Shirakawa, Moria's fleet encountered Kaido's forces, led by none other than King, Kaido's right-hand man. King, a member of the Lunarian race, had the ability to manipulate fire and possessed the power of a pteranodon Zoan fruit. His tall figure stood in the sun as he hovered above the battlefield, flanked by two of Kaido's fiercest fighters: Theran, a Zoan user capable of transforming into a massive Spinosaurus , and Crassus, a Komodo Dragon Zoan user whose armored body made him nearly invincible in battle. Alongside them was Karasuma, a swordsman from wano whose armament Haki and blade technique were second to none.

Moria grinned as he took in the sight of Kaido's forces. "This is what I've been waiting for. Let's show them the power of shadows," he muttered to himself, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

The battle erupted as soon as Moria's fleet docked. Cannons boomed, and Devil Fruit users on both sides unleashed their abilities. Theran, in his Spinosaurus form, tore through Moria's ships with his razor-sharp claws, while Crassus rampaged through Moria's crew, his armored body deflecting bullets and blades alike. Karasuma, with his Haki-infused sword, engaged with a sword man of there crew, one of Moria's lieutenants, in a deadly duel that sent shockwaves through the battlefield.

As the battle raged on, King hovered above, raining down fiery destruction from the skies, his pteranodon wings casting a shadow over the battlefield. Moria watched from his flagship, his expression darkening. "This isn't going to be easy."

But Moria had a plan. Using his Shadow-Shadow powers, he created shadow clones to overwhelm Kaido's forces, while his shadow minions distracted the Zoan users. With the battlefield in chaos, Moria saw his opportunity. He leaped into action, making his way toward Shirakawa's western coast, where Kaido's shipyards and facilities were located.

As Moria and his captains pushed toward the island's watchtower, they found themselves face-to-face with Kaido's defenses. King, despite the onslaught from Moria's forces, was unrelenting. He had taken on pirate captains simultaneously, his fiery attacks cutting through the battlefield. Even Moria's most powerful lieutenants were beginning to falter under the relentless assault.

Seeing that his forces were being overpowered, Moria decided to take matters into his own hands. Using his shadow powers, he attempted to bring down the island's watchtower, hoping to cripple Kaido's surveillance and infrastructure. But just as his shadow attack was about to strike, a massive figure appeared, blocking the attack with ease.

It was Kaido. The battlefield fell silent as Kaido's towering figure loomed over them. His immense presence sent a shockwave of fear through both sides. Moria's men, who had fought valiantly moments before, were now paralyzed by the sheer force of Kaido's Conqueror's Haki.

"Kaido..." Moria growled, trying to maintain his composure. "I've come for your head!"

Kaido's lips curled into a smirk as he surveyed the battlefield. "You've come to my island to die, Moria."

Moria, undeterred, launched himself at Kaido, using his Devil Fruit powers to manipulate the shadows around him and attempt a sneak attack. But Kaido was ready.

As there weapon clash, Kaido had to admit if there was no haki in the world, Giants would definitely rule the world. But sad news for Giants there is haki.

"Is this the best you've got, Moria?" Kaido taunted, his voice booming across the battlefield.

Moria seeing his strength that he is most confident about, easily beening counter, couldn't help but have look of shock on his face.
