Van Augur's Prowess

Van Augur heard his captain's orders and immediately sprung into action with his rifle and pistol. He only used one bullet each for a pirate since they were shot in the head and immediately died. The crew was amazed at his marksmanship and his ruthlessness as he mowed down all the pirates in no time. "It is finished captain." said Van Augur as he put his rifle on his shoulder and his pistol in his gun holster. Alex replied "Good job, Fraulein, Petronia, and Braga loot their ships and burn them afterward. I'll give you ten minutes." the three of them went to the three ships and looted everything they saw and left anything not valuable to them.

After burning the ships, they went back to the ship where they put it in their treasury which contained two Devil Fruits they got from the Marine base. The two fruits were the Plant-Plant Fruit which can control any plant that exists and the Inu-Inu no mi, Model: Cerberus which has three distinct parts of the fruit which meant that three people should eat the fruit and they would be able to transform as the Cerberus. The three individually would have control over fire and have dog abilities such as sensing and speed. When the three users are combined they form the Cerberus which would heighten their powers to another level. No one in the crew has eaten these devil fruits and Alex didn't force them since they might have their preferences regarding their Devil Fruits. One example would be Van Augur who wants any devil fruit that can enhance his vision, while Fraulein would want something that would enhance his speed and strength.

Putting the topic of Devil Fruits on the side, Alex and the crew decided to sail again as they were done with this island and would be in trouble if they stayed any longer. They quickly went boarded their ship and left the island to avoid any contact with many more pirates or Marines. It is not that they don't want to fight them it is just the fact that it would be too troublesome for them.

As they were sailing towards their next island, Alex was currently training Van Augur with his Observation Haki and Armament Haki in order for him to level up his skills in marksmanship. Alex was telling him that Observation Haki can help him be accurate even when shooting in a dark place or when his vision is being covered. He also told him that Armament Haki could help him against Devil Fruit users if he can coat his bullets with his Haki. Van Augur took all of the information like a sponge and practiced hard so that he would not be a burden to the crew. While Alex was watching Van Augur train, a News Coo dropped today's newspaper and read the headline [SUN PIRATES DISBAND AFTER JINBE WAS NAMED A SHCHIBUKAI]. Alex was surprised at the sudden news that the Sun Pirates have disbanded. He followed the Sun Pirates' story or mostly Fisher Tiger's story because of his bravery of climbing the Red Line and freeing the slaves in Mary Geoise. He was saddened by his death and wanted to continue his legacy by destroying the slavery system in this world. He also read that the Sun Pirates were divided into three groups which were the pirates under Jinbe, the Arlong Pirates, and the Macro Pirates.

As he was reading the newspaper, some papers fell out of the newspaper and he was surprised since it was their new bounties. He was interested in knowing how much his and his crew's bounties increased. "Guys! Our new bounties are here. Check it out!" Alex shouted to his crew as they stopped what they were currently doing to check out their new bounties. Van Augur was curious about their bounties as well, so he decided to check with them while saying in his mind that he would get his own bounty in the future.

"Damn! Captain has the highest bounty out of all of us now. We shouldn't fall behind and we should all get stronger." said Fraulein as he saw that his captain's bounty increased by a lot. "Well, he should be the one who has the highest since he is the captain. What would others think about our crew when our captain is not even the one with the highest bounty." said Franco as he was satisfied with their current progress as they are now valued at $446,000,000. Alex was delighted as he finally passed the hundred million berry mark as he said "YOSH! Now that I have passed a hundred million berries, I will now aim for a BILLION!" the crew was not surprised at their captain's antics because sometimes he would be as lazy as a sloth but sometimes he would be as jumpy as a rabbit. They hope for a time that they would finally understand their captain.

"Alright everyone, now that we know where we are at in the Grandline in terms of strength, we should strive harder to become stronger so that we wouldn't be bothered by anyone anymore." Alex said as the crew was determined as ever to have the strength of a future Pirate King crew member. "Alright captain, we will certainly not let you down. I will now train harder than ever so that I won't get caught by those pathetic Marines." said Fraulein as he remembered his embarrassing memory as he got caught by the Marines at Loguetown.

"Captain, we are almost at our next island which is Whiskey Peak." said Petronia as she looked at her log pose to make sure they were going in the right direction. "Alright let's be ready for this island since I have heard some rumors about this island, and they are not good." said Alex as he learned from the pubs in Moricana Island that Whiskey Peak is an island full of bounty hunters. "What kind of rumors captain?" asked Braga as he brought out their food from the kitchen and Alex replied "I have heard that the people on the island would entertain pirates and give them meals, but in reality, they will be drugging them and killing them for their bounties." the crew was shocked but in a way expected this since it was an ingenious way on getting pirates who had bounties and were stupid and naive. "Well, we should just prepare ourselves and deal with whatever happens. But remember we kill when necessary and don't harm innocents." said Alex as the crew nodded and they made their way to Whiskey Peak.
