Hidden Mist Ninja

He placed his hand on a thick tree and used his wood release to extend it's roots downwards while also increasing the thickness to unprecedented levels until the dimensions reached his requirements.

Inside one of these roots, a cavity slowly formed and a small seal appeared inside the cavity. This was Kira's second seal mark for his flying raijin and this one had a minor difference to his first one.

It was the source of the seal mark. He changed some of the fundamental chakra pathways of the seals and managed to make his seal completely independent. This meant that someone like Minato wouldn't be able to teleport to these seal marks.

Now that the seal mark was formed inside the root, Kira teleported inside and began preparations. First step was to get the tree to absorb carbon dioxide from inside the root's cavity and produce oxygen.

Usually, it would take hundreds, if not thousands of trees to produce this much oxygen. Someone with a wood release would most probably boost these rates, but Kira took the easier option instead.

He simply made the tree transport the air from outside to the cavity.

Once the air problem was solved, he began to place battery powered lamps on the floor before creating furniture like tables, chairs and a bed with his wood release.

He looked around the room and nodded to himself before teleporting back outside. The preparations were done, and the only thing left to do was to go back to Konoha and listen to Hiruzen's orders until the war ends.

He closed his eyes and sensed his seal marks a few hundred kilometers away. Just as he was about to use his flying raijin to teleport back to the village, he heard a voice.

"Hey! Who are you!" a female voice entered his ears, so he opened his eyes and turned to look at her.

A tall and slim girl with green eyes and auburn hair stood a few meters away with 4 other shinobi. She was young, but there was no way that Kira could ever mistake her for someone else even though the one standing in front of him was younger than shown in the anime.

"You're from the hidden leaf?" she asked as a frown formed on her face and one of the shinobi who was standing beside her, walked towards Kira.

Just from the look in the man's eyes, Kira could say that he wanted to kill him. He glanced at the girl and saw that she had no thoughts of stopping the man.

'If that's the case...' he thought as he created two clones that jumped onto the branches of nearby trees before facing the man with a mocking smile on his face.

"What are you smirking for, you damn brat?!" the man said as unsheathed his broadsword. He rushed forward with confidence as he knew from just a single glance that two clones were intangible and that the one in front of him was the real one.

Unfortunately for him, the moment he slashed at Kira, his weapon simply passed through without any resistance before the clone in front of him vanished.

Panic gripped his heart as he warned the others, "Watch out! He's probably using a high level genjutsu!"

But when he didn't hear any response or get attacked, he turned around and saw his teammates looking at him like he was a dumb fool. One of them pointed upwards and the man looked up, only to see Kira standing leisurely on the tree branch above him.

"If you want to kill me, you should at least have the skills to do so. Anyways, I'm in a good mood today, so I'll let you guys go. See ya." he said and disappeared once again, but this time, none of the shinobi were able to see him.

The guy who had just tried to attack Kira, walked back to his team while asking, "Just who was that kid? He's too fast."

"Why in the hell did you attack him without any orders?"

"Because he's from the hidden leaf! We'll be fighting them in the war soon, so isn't it better to take care of their people if we get the chance?"

Just as he said this, a slit appeared on his throat and a moment later, Kira stood beside the bleeding man while staring at the other four.

"You're right, it's better to take care of the people when I get the chance. Now, come forward and fight me or die without resistance." Kira said as he pushed the man beside him to the ground and walked forward as he brought his two hands together to make a plus sign.

5 shadow clones appeared beside him and immediately surrounded the group before taking out some shuriken. With 6 shuriken in each of their hands, they stared down on the group while standing on the tree branches.

A middle aged man who was standing beside the girl took a step forward and spoke up, "We apologise for our previous actions but I must let you know that we had no intention of fighting you. That man acted on his own accord and as for the war, we won't be participating in it either.

We simply wish to escort this child to a safe place, so please let us go."

Kira frowned when he heard the man's words. Should he let them go, or should he not? If what they just said was true, then Kira really did not have a reason to fight them.

Even at the start, he didn't have any plans on fighting them as he knew that the young girl in the group was Mei, who would go on to become the fifth Mizukage of the hidden mist. Unfortunately for their group, he changed his mind when he heard the guy's final words.
