It started to rain it seemed that it would not stop for anything in the middle of the bustling city of Gotham you could see many people walking around living day to day, but in the midst of those sounds you could also hear people asking for help some just turn around and leave others just ignored it.

That's how it ends those were the thoughts of Adam who was lying in an alley in bloodied while slowly losing consciousness this was the day to day in the city of Gotham people Moria maybe not only in Gotham could also be happening in other cities that's it.

Adam wondered why these thoughts were coming to his mind maybe it was because of the blood loss or it was always on his mind he was just subconsciously blocking it out he was not special in any way maybe just above average

He does not regret anything he lived a full life, although short he always managed to survive from job to job even at his young age he learned a lot from his jobs, he was taught to adapt he had to learn it since it is Gotham where every day things happen that take the lives of many people.

It was a brief thought, but the next moment I dismissed it where would I go a fresh start life is not as good as the movies paint it where you go to the big city and your life changes for the better.

He was returning from his job as a delivery man on foot but in the middle of the road a man who looked more like a beggar than a thief threatened him to give him the money Adam was carrying which was a few dollars instead of your life Adam gave him the money when the beggar or thief already had the money in his hand and was about to leave he heard a noise behind him in panic he pulled out a gun he had hidden in his pocket of the jacket he was wearing.

A single shot rang out in the street where Adam was and the thief seeing what he had done ran away without looking back after a few moments a small cat ran off in an unknown direction while Adam was lying on the ground bleeding to death he barely got up while pressing the wound holding it between the walls he walked near an alleyway while waiting to get to a street with people to get help but before he got to the street he collapsed.

And now I'm lying here about to die "what a bastard I gave him the money and he still shoots me what an amateur".

As his eyes begin to lose their light, Adam's life fades as well until he takes his last breath.

As Adam lost consciousness, he heard a woman's voice.

"who you are"

The mysterious woman was a young teenage girl with short blue hair and crimson eyes, a mostly serious face and white skin.

"that's what I should be asking you, I was supposed to be dying, but now I find myself talking to you."

The girl replied "you are strange for someone who was dying you are calm usually people panic, think about the meaning of their life what did they do wrong? or if they had a second chance they wouldn't make the same mistakes they would say".

"It's simple I never had a purpose in my life as I grew up I watched others find their dreams, but unlike the rest I could never do it I wondered what I should do when I grew up" replied Adam with a somewhat uncomfortable smile towards the girl.

"I don't know I never had a purpose in my life I just lived day to day I seemed more like a living corpse than anything else."
