Too Many Changes

"What is going on? Did I just change levels?" Just as Vain was questioning life, a loud 'BOOM!' sounded behind him. 

Turning around Vain saw the giant tree made of Vines had turned into a stone tree that had several branches fall after turning into stone. Even from the distance Vain walked, Vain could see the broken branches split open after hitting the ground before turning into more gray stone.

Looking around Vain saw what used to be a fruit tree was now a tree that seemed to be dead without any leaves and had its' stem made into something like stone. The pink fruits that once hung from the tree had changed to dark brown. 

Not knowing where to start Vain could only watch as everything green soon became a stone forest with sparse trees that seemed dead. Other trees that didn't ever hold fruit had become a stone in the landscape. Even the dark brown fertile ground had changed into a grayish rocky gravel ground.
