Chapter .26 Eternal Magekyou

Fugaku was initially shocked to learn about the deep history of the Uchiha shrine and the potential consequences of the distorted information. He felt grateful to Uzume for bringing this to his attention and allowing him to help.

As Fugaku looked at her with gratitude, Uzume simply waved her hand and reassured him, saying, "There's no need to worry, this is just part of my usual routine. And by the way, there are more ways to unlock the Eternal Mangekyou than what's written on the tablet. Take these glass jars, for example..." As she placed her hand on the jars containing regular Sharingans, they all transformed into Eternal Mangekyou, mirroring the one they already had.

Fugaku's eyes widened in amazement as he watched the transformation take place. "Incredible," he muttered, clearly impressed by Uzume's abilities. "But how is this possible?"

Uzume smiled mysteriously, "Let's just say that I have my methods and secrets when it comes to unlocking the true potential of the Sharingan. However, these methods come with a price."

As she spoke, a solemn expression crossed her face, hinting at the sacrifices and consequences that came with obtaining such power. Fugaku's curiosity was piqued, and he urged her to explain further.

"That's a story for another time," Uzume replied cryptically, "For now, let's focus on utilizing the power of the Eternal Mangekyou to achieve our goals."

She began the instruction by showing Fugaku, Itachi, and Shisui how to harness the newfound power. Taking a pair out of a container, she gave it to Fugaku, instructing him to hold it close to his eyes. As he followed her guidance, the pair of Mangekyou he was holding turned into light particles and was absorbed by his own Mangekyou.

After a few blinks, Fugaku noticed an immediate difference. His eyesight had returned, clear and without blur. He felt no discomfort and a sense of joy filled his heart as he realized the potential of this new power. With it, the Uchiha clan would not fall behind any other and would remain at the forefront. He couldn't help but wonder if this was how their ancestor, Uchiha Madara, had felt. This was only the beginning of their journey to reshape the fate of their clan and the shinobi world.

"...father?"

Itachi noticed his father's peculiar behavior and called out to him. When he heard Itachi's voice, he snapped out of his trance and met his son's gaze. Seeing the worry in Itachi's eyes, he reassured him, "I'm okay, just adjusting to these new changes. I suppose I'll have to train myself all over again to get accustomed to this new power."

After ensuring Fugaku's successful activation of his Eternal Mangekyou, Itachi and Shisui exchanged a nod of reassurance. As they followed suit and held the Mangekyou from the jar up to their eyes, they underwent the same transformation as Fugaku. The pair of eyes held in their hands seamlessly merged with their original Mangekyou. Blinking a few times to adjust to their restored eyesight, they also sensed the changes occurring within them. After a moment, the unfamiliar feelings subsided, and they returned to their senses.

"Now that the three of you have obtained the Eternal Mangekyou, your next step is to become comfortable with this new power and familiarize yourselves with it. However, it's important to be cautious, as while you may no longer risk losing your eyesight, overusing this strong jutsu can still have a detrimental effect on your health." Uzume advises them to refrain from overusing their eyes in the future.

It's important to remember that 'with great power comes great responsibility.' Take your time to master this new ability and use it wisely. Remember, with the Eternal Mangekyou comes great potential, but also great risk. Use it sparingly and only when absolutely necessary.

"Shisui, my dear, would you be willing to use your special genjutsu on Lee-kun this time?" Uzume inquired once more. "Don't fret, you can now utilize your powers endlessly." This revelation was a major surprise for him, as he had always been aware that he needed to wait a considerable amount of time after using his eye power. This uncertainty was the reason for his initial hesitation. He had yet to fully grasp the extent of his ocular abilities.

After a deep breath, Shisui nodded in agreement with Uzume's request. He centered his chakra, activating his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, with its pinwheel design, with the suggestion 'not to betray Konoha' whispered "Kotoamatsukami," casting his genjutsu on Lee-kun. As the illusion took hold, Shisui observed how Lee-kun's movements became slow and confused, completely under the sway of his ocular powers.

Suddenly, Lee felt a slight headache and found himself in a dim, musty place, barely able to make out the towering walls around him. It was unmistakably an underground sewer system. After wandering for some time, he encountered nothing but ankle-deep water. However, as he scanned his surroundings, a brilliant light caught his eye to the right, prompting him to rush towards it.

As he approached the light, he saw that it was emanating from a person. There was no sense of malice, prompting Lee to take a closer look. As he neared the figure and his eyes adjusted to the brightness, he realized that he was familiar with the person's appearance.

"I...uh, Onee-san? Wait, is that you? What's with the light show?" Lee's guard dropped as he recognized her, and he asked in confusion to make sure he understood the situation.

"I just thought it would be funny to appear as some goddess in front of you. How did I do? Did you think you had stumbled upon an enlightened being?" Uzume teased Lee with a playful grin.

"Yes yes, that was Very impressive. Now would you tell me where we are?" Lee said, with a tick visible on his forehead. Not wanting to satisfy her for tricking him, so he asked the impotent question.

"Hehehhe…" Apparently satisfied with his reaction Uzume spoke, " As for this place, it is your sea of consciousness."
