Chunin arc 5

In the apartment of Asuma and Kurenai, both were currently sleeping, when suddenly an anbu member appearead in front of there door like a ghost.

KNOCK KNOCK*

Asuma opened his eyes, he got up without waking Kurenai up and he put his ninja clothes on, jonin vest, elbow length sleeved black shirt, baggy anbu pants, calves high ninja boots.

"Yeah?" Asuma said as he opened the door, the anbu kneeled before him before speaking.

"Lord Asuma, the hokage is calling for a meeting between all jonins" The voice of the anbu was full of respect, he can feel the overwhelming aura of Asuma, it's pressing on his very mind.

"Okay thanks" Asuma patted the shoulder of the anbu with a smile before his body vanished at such speed that the veteran anbu could not even see it.

'Such speed, he might even be as fast as the hokage!' the anbu does drills every month with the hokage, and when he saw the Hokage move, he can kind of sense his chakra, but this time, he felt nothing.

[ Hokage office ]

In the office of the Hokage, there is a bunch of jonin, and they are currently waiting for someone.

knock knock*

"Come in" the voice of Hiruzen is heard, the door opens with a crisp click sound, and Asuma walks inside the room.

"What is it old man, i was sleeping you know~" Asuma looked at all the people here and something clicked in his mind, it seems like Hayate reported what he heard to the Hokage, the hokage ignored Asuma and started with his speech.

"Hayate Gekko has unraveled some important information that could stop a war, and i called all of you here to talk about it" The atmosphere inside the room quickly changed from a chill atmosphere to a room full of cold killing intent.

Everyone in this room has probably killed over thousands of people, they are all jonins after all, and some of them like Asuma and Kakashi has probably killed bandits and enemies in the tens of thousands, as they participated in the war.

"From tomorrow, i want 2 jonins patrolling the village together, Kill or capture anyone that remotly looks suspicious, and if necessary, kill the suspect" Hiruzen said with a cold look in his eyes, this time his not dealing with his friend Danzo, this involves things that decide if a war will start.

"On the day of the chunin exams, i want everyone here except Kakashi and Asuma to escort the civilians in the village to a safe bunker, protect everyone" The jonins nodded, they are cold blooded ninjas, but to others, not their own.

The jonins nodded with no emotional fluctuations, they are well used to seeing and killing, this will not ,move them emotionally.

"Hey Old man, i heard about what happened to Sasuke, how do i know that this is not just a trick from Orochimaru?" Asuma suddenly said, Hiruzen looked at Asuma in surprise, but then he calmed down, he did not think that Orochimaru who is so scared of death will attack the village.

Especially when the village has him, Kakashi and Asuma who is slowly becoming stronger then him, he is not stupid, he may look old, but he knows that Asuma is now almost as powerful as him just from the chakra he naturally releases.

"Then i will kill him once and for all" Hiruzen said with a cold look in his eyes, he still regrets letting orochimaru run that day, he knows that by letting him run he caused countless innocent blood and pain to countless people that Orochimaru's hands touched.

Asuma smiled, he knows that the old man is ready to really kill Orochimaru, but he can't, he wasted the chance when he was really able to kill him, at his peak he was stronger than even Hanzo, someone that Nagato and his Akatsuki had to team up on.

He could have folded Orochimaru like an omelette back then, but now he probably is not even as strong as the Kazekage, who got killed by Orochimaru, but Asuma just shrugged, he knows it's better for Hiruzen to go out while protecting the village, this will elevate his clan even further.

"Look out for anything from this moment on, now off you go" Hiruzen ordered and the Jonins left like ghost, but Asuma stayed behind, he walked forward and he sat down on a charir.

"I know what your planning, you actually knew this all along didn't you?, you have the artifact of the second hokage after all, there is no way you would not spy on Baki" Asuma said suddenly, Hiruzen looked at Asuma in shock, how did he know?

"But i guess it's better for you to go out in a way that befits a Hokage, dyeing from old age and being the hokage 2 times would leave a stain on your record, as well as the Sarutobi clan, and people would start saying that we want to gain control of the village" Hiruzen smirked a little, looks like he does have a son that is better then him after all, he is relieved.

"looks like the Sarutobi clan will still have a leader even after i die" Hiruzen took out his documents about his clan and in front of Asuma, he changed the name of everything to Asuma Sarutobi, Asuma looked at this in surprise.

"From now on, everything that belongs to me is yours, the clan is left to you, and after i die, i hope you will try to become the Hokage, if you can not become one, then that's not a problem either" Hiruzen said with a smile as he gave the clan leader scroll and badge to Asuma.

"old man.... whatever" Asuma took the scroll and badge while going out of the door, he does not really hate Hiruzen like he excepted to, when he watched the anime, he thought he would hate him, but to be honest, this is real life and he is not better, he probably killed many innocent people of the other villages, so he can not talk about morals.

"Man, i thought i would just leave, why am i thinking about all this sappy stuff?" Asuma scratched his head with an annoyed expression on his face, he was troubled, on one hand he wants to let Hiruzen die the way he wants, but the attack will also cost a lot of damages on the village, and innocent people will probably die.

"Hmm, i should prepare...." Asuma looked at all his Jutsus and the only one he saw with enough power was Rasengan, and what do you know, he also has wind element, and much better then Naruto too.

"Looks like i know what i am gonna be doing this month~"
