OVERLORD: THE OLD RULERS
Two timelines, from the original MC's location to the world of Overlord.
He loses an eye in a horrible accident in which he witnessed things that cannot be recounted in words.
But the planet and everyone have gone crazy, blobbing.
He endures it alone.
And then he was swallowed up by a portal, and innumerable appendages dragged him to a black water-like gateway; he assumed it was the typical hallucinations he was experiencing, but when he awoke, the world was in ruins.
"The Old Ruler" is about a young man who loses an eye and receives an eye transplant from a dead body with a mystery past. However, he soon discovers secrets belonging to the prior owner of the eye.
His father, a scientist who dabbled with time, was one of the main reasons why the Earth in 2138 is in shambles.
They had no idea what existed outside of the reality they were living in, and they had been watching the flow of time while patiently awaiting to enter.
A blend of Japanese light novel style, old classical novel style, and Overlord's lovecraftian horror fanfiction.
