Chapter 149 - Horror From The Past

A little while back, during the time Jiraiya was exploring the enemy's hideout, in the Alliance HQ, a ninja from the intelligence Division is reporting the current status of the war "It appears Naruto has arrived at every single battlefield! Gaara's unit has successfully killed the enemy! Darui and Kitsuchi's Unit together have found and identified the enemy!! They're trampling through and overrunning the enemy!! The same is happening to Kakashi's unit thanks to Naruto and the Anti-Zetsu bomb!! Mifune's unit has also taken control of their battle after the two Adjuchas retreated!! Shizune's unit and medical camp are unharmed as the enemy were unable to infiltrate!".

Hering the report Shikaku says "We've got them! We've turned the tides of this battle around... We've got the overwhelming upper hand! Madara is inching closer and closer to the Jinchuriki... If we can just capture him... Concentrate all our remaining forces... and give it everything we've got!!".

They are of course Orochimaru and Shinigami, who are looking down at the ninja army gathered below them, and Onoki quickly recognize one of them and still in a stunned state says "They... He is..." the same happens to Gaara who quickly raises his guard, while Naruto who also recognizes one of them yells "Orochimaru!!" and Onoki adds "So you are still alive after all... and once again joined forces with Akatsuki".

Meanwhile, Orochimaru looks at them and says "Hmm... Shinigami turn to Orochimaru and asks "You know that when I'll reach my prime once again I'll come after you!?" Orochimaru looks at him and smiles and replies "Of course... But I'm still curious to see the power of the first Arrancar, so show it to me!".

Shinigami looks at Orochimaru with his yellow eyes for a few seconds in silence, then he uses Sonido to disappear and reappears in front of Gaara's unit, seeing this Onoki yells "Here it come!" while Gaara prepares to counter any action of Shinigami, but he simply points his finger at the army and releases a Cero from it.

The various ninjas in the army quickly react and all together use the Doton: Doryūheki (Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall) to create an earth wall, that is able to barely stop the Cero, but it ends up destroyed, then Shinigami takes advantage of the dust created to appears in the middle of the army and starts slaughtering all the ninja with his tanto using Sonido to appear from one place to another at random unhindered.

Gaara using the sand around to sense his movement finally is able to catch his shadow and is able to move and reinforce his sand in time to protect another one of his men that was about to be slashed by the tanto, and Shinigami calmly stops to see what was able to stop his attack, even if he isn't putting much effort in it.

One of the surrounding ninjas takes advantage of that moment to attack Shinigami, who quickly blows him away with a roundhouse kick, but then he notices the figure of Naruto falling toward him with a Chōōdama Rasengan (Chōōdama Rasengan) about to hit him, and at the same time Onoki uses the Doton: Chidōkaku (Earth Release: Moving Earth Core) to raise the ground under Shinigami's feet, moving him closer to Naruto's Rasengan, hitting him in full causing the raised ground to break and create a big dust cloud.

But quickly Shinigami calmly walks out of the dust totally unharmed, at the same time Gaara is using his sand to save and pull away all the ninjas around Shinigami while asking Naruto who is sitting cross-legged next to him "Ready yet Naruto!?" and he with his eyes closed replies "A bit longer...!!" soon as Shinigami is once again rampaging among the ninjas, orange pigmentation appears around Naruto's eyes showing that he is using his Sage Mode.

Naruto the stood up and summon two Kagebushin and prepares his strongest Jutsu the Fūton: Rasenshuriken (Wind Release: Rasenshuriken) that once formed, gives off a loud screeching noise and says "Sorry!! Everyone, clear away" at the same time Onoki uses his Doton: Keijūgan no Jutsu (Earth Release: Light-Weight Rock Technique) on Gaara's sand in his jar and says "The weight of all the sand has become light... It will be faster".

And so Gaara quickly moves away from all his allies, and at the same time, briefly restrains Shinigami with it giving Naruto the chance to hit him with the Rasenshuriken, upon contact with Shinigami the central sphere of the Rasenshuriken detonates, producing a vortex of wind in the immediate area, within this vortex, countless microscopic wind blades are hitting all of his body but are unable to pierce it.
