Osborn

Chapter 34

~VROOOM~

"HAHAHA!" Speeding down the highway, Xavier was having the time of his life. The bike was going way faster than he could ever run and it was exhilarating.

'I need to make one of these myself.' He really liked going fast.

"Here, it looks weird to see Spiderman seeding on a bike." Dredd's head popped out of his shoulder and spoke out.

Xavier watched before his eyes as his suit changed from normal to something resembling a biker's outfit. Complete with a leather jacket, boots and a helmet.

'Since when could you do this?' As he asked, that particular memory came back to him as well. Symbiotes have a sort of shapeshifting that can emulate different types of clothing.

'Since I woke up, I just never had a use for it till now.' Dredd answered.

"I could have used this so many times you know?"

"..." 'Of course I don't get an answer, he's always so quiet.' Xavier complained.

When he arrived at home, it was already too late and everyone was asleep. "Well I might as well grab a bite to eat right?"

The next morning Xavier took a trip up to Oscorp, texting Harry for a quick meeting.

-Harry, I need a few moments with you.-

-Why, I have too many meetings today for a joke Xavier.-

-Not a joke, I'm moving over to Stark Industries as an apprentice and want to keep in good relations here at Oscorp.-

-I'll have time to talk at 10 for about five minutes.-

Plopping down in his chair, Harry sighed, rubbing his temples. "So why are you quitting exactly?"

Sitting down across from him Xavier explained as best he could. "There was a contest held at Stark Industries a while ago and I won. Tony Stark said he liked how I work and offered me a position under him as an apprentice."

"..." Harry just stared into his eyes with a look of disbelief spread across his face. "Tony Stark. Billionaire. Playboy ultima. Golden boy of the weapon industry. And he asked YOU to be his apprentice."

"Yes."

"Look, I told you that I didn't have time for jokes man. If you want to quit, just tell me. Now I have a meeting with the NYPD about my father's situation. You can tag along if you want, but stay quiet."

'A meeting about the Goblin? Tag me in."

In a separate meeting room, Xavier and Harry waited for the officers which didn't take long at all.

Two officers and a lawyer walked into the meeting room, all of high standing based off of their clothing. One stepped forward to shake Harry's hand while the other one eyed Xavier weirdly.

"Hello Mr Osborn, I'm police chief Stacy. We're here to speak to you about your father and his well being."

Xavier just about jumped out of his seat. 'Chief Stacy?!'

"Yes, I'd like to know how he's doing seeing I was barred from speaking to him at all." Harry said with clear annoyance.

Chief Stacy nodded apologetically. "That was to ensure that nothing strange was going on between you two, but it's clear that he was acting on his lonesome now." It was then that he noticed Xavier.

"Who is this young man?" Prompting him to stand.

"Hello sir, I'm Xavier Parker. Nice to meet you." He answered himself, shaking his hand.

"Parker huh? I've heard that you used to get yourself in quite a lot of trouble back in middle school." He said with a smirk.

That startled him quite a bit. "Y-You know about that?"

Chief Stacy nodded. "We keep track of any potential trouble maker throughout middle and high school now."

"Anyway, you want to know about your father?" He said, turning to Harry. To which he nodded.

"I think Mr Murdock has the best explanation of what's to happen."

The lawyer stepped forwards, setting a briefcase on the table. "Mr Osborn, your father has been charged with disturbing the peace, sixty seven accounts of assault and thirty two accounts of property damage. It will be taken into consideration that his mental condition was not in the best of states, but he will serve at least five years in the Raft."

"The Raft?" Harry had never heard of it.

It was not Xavier's turn to speak up. "It's a brand new statue of the art max security prison over by the Upper East side. For any particularly messed up criminals."

Chief Stacy looked surprised at this. "Never knew you'd know so much about that."

"I'm a geek." Xavier said laughing to hide how nervous he was. He discreetly dropped two spider bots for the Chief and Murdock, knowing it would set him off.

Just when the bot began to crawl up his leg, Murdock noticed and stiffened up, before letting it happen.

"How is this supposed to work Mr Murdock?" Xavier spoke up.

Shaking his nerves away, Matt responded. "Norman Osborn will be monitored constantly during his stay at the Raft and will be helped to regain his mental stability. Harry Osborn, along with friends and family, will be allowed monitored visits at any time."

"...It's good enough. I'm glad that he won't be away for the rest of his life for what happened." Harry said.

"That's only because the Spider-Men were there to stop him from killing anyone, which we appreciate." Stacy explained. "Well, I have a stack of paperwork so high it could be taller than the Empire State to get to. You have a good day Harry." Stacy said, getting up to shake their hands.

"You too officer. Ill be in touch about visiting my father."

"Bye Chief Stacy, drive safe." Xavier wanted to have a decent relationship with him, as he might end up figuring out their identity one day. 'After all, he's incredibly smart for an officer.'
