Threat?

"So, it is you have captured the two?" Agrona asked and Haru nodded.

'Since he captured those two and didn't kill Cadell on the spot, Why did he kill Dragoth? It can't be because of something like disrespect, since Cadell is still alive,' Agrona was curious so he spoke, it was hard to get a read on the person in front of him. And there was no possibility of Haru being considerate of him since he could tell from the looks in Haru's eyes that he didn't take him as a threat.

He is used to eyes that look at him like he is a small-fry but Haru was different since it wasn't arrogance like the Asuras but rather the raw power that gave him the confidence to be like this. Even if Agrona was not able to feel Haru's power his senses were warning him to be careful.

"Then what about him?" Agrona pointed at Dragoth.

"Him? Well some things happened and it turned out that way, Also answer my question, don't try to change the subject," Haru said without going into much detail and Agrona understood that something drastic happened for him to kill Dragoth so brutally. But seeing that his chance to avoid the question was read Agrona smiled a little before answering.

"She is the main key to my plan. So, I wanted to bring her over since it was the perfect time for me to advance to the next stage," Agrona spoke plainly.

"To advance, is it?" Haru smiled and Agrona's eyebrows shot up a little.

'He couldn't have figured it out...' Agrona's mind was running faster than it has ever worked before as he tried to guess what Haru's conclusion was because if he was able to infer it from just the line he spoke then….

'He is way more dangerous than what I thought,' Agrona had a serious look on his face.

"Well, Whatever your planning is irrelevant to me, just give up on her, you're not getting her," Haru said with a bored look.

'Trying so hard to take control over a weak continent while he has such military strength, It is clear that he wants more than just eradicating the population there so it is good old slavery and using the people for experimentation, But that is just the side quest his main goal is something else…. He wants to get stronger himself,' Haru concluded his thoughts, and Agrona's face was going through so many expressions that it was weird since he had maintained a calm look till now.

Haru could tell that Agrona was quite weak for an Asura, Plus the experimentations done on the Alacryans weren't just to make stronger soldiers but also to find a way to strengthen his body or so was the plan but didn't work.

Some of Haru's clones entered the storage room where many of the experiment records were kept, it was quite easy for them to move around if they wanted to but because he wasn't interested in them he asked them to come back after a few trips.

Since Agrona's plan to strengthen his body failed, What do you think he would do next to achieve his goal? Yes, he is going to pull an Orochimaru, At least that is what Haru inferred.

'He would try to take over Zenobia or try to make a new body for himself, He has already tried this once with Sylvie or along the lines, I have seen the seal on her body and it makes sense to me now since it was probably Sylvia who interfered and ran away from that place,' Haru thought while tapping his chin. His knowledge of the plot and the information he got from here merged to paint a bigger picture.

"Is there no room for negotiation?" Agrona asked, even though he knew that if he agreed here he would suffer a major setback since many of his plans would be made worthless.

'I have invested a lot of time and people just to have her, She is the best key for me, But it would be idiotic to try and make another enemy out of someone powerful so quickly when I already have the Asuras to worry about,' Agrona was having second thoughts as he proposed a peaceful way out of this so that both parties can get a profit.

"You should know the basics of Negotiations, right?" Haru said and Agrona frowned a little trying to think of a way to negotiate but he didn't find anything that would make a good deal for the person in front of him.

'I guess, I will have to go with the backup plan, as much as I want to use the best possible specimen for this, I don't think I will have a chance of getting Zenobia, Not for now at least, It is a shame but….' Agrona was in deep thought but he quickly spoke.

"Then I'll step back, since I can't think of anything that will be to your liking," Agrona spoke calmly but his mind was already in deep chaos, Just because of Haru's interference things have been flipped upside down. If only he could negotiate with the one in front of him, things would be much more smoothly but he didn't have anything that will be of interest to Haru.

At first, Agrona didn't take Haru seriously since this guy had only captured a few scythes, Agrona still had The Basilisk race along with the half breeds in his arsenal. He was sure that someone like Haru wouldn't be much of a problem which was also the reason that he came here alone so confidently.

'What have I come across? This isn't an entity I can comprehend,' Agrona thought, It happened after he tried to attack Haru with a Soul spell which failed since it was bounced off. But…

'Who would've thought that he will lower his defense almost as if like inviting me to probe further,' Agrona thought as his fingers shook in fear even while he tried to maintain a calm look.

Agrona tried to probe Haru's soul and he regretted it almost immediately. He was sure if he wasn't pushed out he would've died instantly.

Agrona could feel the incomparable fear that was coming from Haru even while he was just looking at him, He was feeling like he would burn the moment he tries something so he didn't do anything foolish, since the person in front of him was way more dangerous than anyone on this continent.

On the other hand, Haru wasn't doing anything he was simply just looking at Agrona, He didn't know how Agrona and Cadell were feeling in his presence which had become much more suffocating after the new training. But he knew that Agrona took his bait and understood what he shouldn't do.

'Looks like I will have to change my candidate for the 'Legacy', Plan B it is, For the time being at least,' Agrona concluded his thoughts and saw Haru looking at him with a little smirk making his chest tighten.

"I see, The way you backed off so quickly, it seems like you have a backup plan," Haru said.

"No, I just merely do not want to fight with you knowing that I would lose, I am a Scholar, not a brute so I know when to step back," Agrona spoke calmly but he wasn't calm on the inside.

"Well, I won't really interfere if it is someone I don't know," Haru shrugged and he really didn't have any plan of wasting his time if Agrona's target was someone he didn't know. He would rather train more while spending time at home but…

'That is the main problem here, isn't it? Because I know who your next candidate is. Well, I have a guess at least,' Haru thought and looked at Agrona almost as if asking him to tell him.

"…There is nothing of that sort," Agrona spoke without a change in his expression.

"Well alright," Haru shrugged with a carefree look.

"….You are quite a unique person," Agrona spoke with a little surprise since even while having the upper hand Haru didn't press him further for answers.

You can say that Agrona is currently helpless in front of him considering the power difference, It would be a different story if Agrona had his army with him, the point was he didn't and was in fact alone in front of a person who can kill him in a blink on his eye. But Haru did nothing of the sort he didn't even ask him about his plans for a second time.

'And seeing his face, it is certain that he knows who my second target is, does he not care for that one? Or does he not view me as a threat…' Agrona who was in his deep thoughts was brought back by Haru's words.
