Silver Samurai

Silverhand

Mathew Jorgensen

If I had known where I was, "I feel like hammered shit," would not have been my first words in this world. Yet, at the time I had no clue about the shit hand that I was dealt on this morning. Instead, I sat up in bed and meandered my way over to the window and cracked it a bit to let some cool air in.

That little bit of cool air was bliss that I never knew that I had ever needed. And like a starving man within the desert, I chased the cool feeling. With the window opened, I stayed like that for a time before finally mustering the strength to wipe the morning crud from my eyes.

Finally awake from a wild night that I could barely remember, I took in the view of my backyard only to find out it wasn't my backyard anymore. A spike of fear shot through me as I took in the sight of buildings along a water line and then what was clearly a massive ship stuck in place way out in the distance.

Panic was all I felt, knowing damn sure that I should not be here. I clearly remember going to sleep in my own damn bed last night and that I lived nowhere close to water. Letting go of the windowsills, I fell backward and right onto my ass with nothing to hold me up. Breathing hard turns out to be the wrong thing to do as something slammed into my lungs, forcing me into a hacking cough which turned into a coughing fit, forcing me again to stick my head out of the window.

With my head outside the window, I was finally able to calm down and take in my strange circumstances. After letting out another long breath, I finally remembered my wallet and cell phone which were of course in my pockets. First, I took out all of them and proceeded to check every item, starting with my phone, and of course, the signal was working, but none of the numbers I called reached anyone and the only response I got is the 'out of service' bullshit.

After letting out a frustrated growl, I opened my wallet to make sure that I still have my cash, bank cards, and driver's license, and everything was there, but it was the license that brought me up short. It clearly wasn't a California license anymore, no, the damn thing had Massachusetts on the top even my address was labeled the city of Brockton Bay, like fucking fuckity fuck.

My heart rate started to spike once more but the fact that I almost dropped my wallet is what forced me to calm back down and really take in my surroundings. Now that I knew why that massive boat looked as if it was stuck in the bay, I turned my head left and right picking up on the gang signs and at how people were moving with real purpose with their heads down.

With realization finally setting in, it was time to pull my head out of my ass and deal with my bullshit. It was clear that I was no longer in California anymore and I had to figure this shit out.

Turning around from the window I took in the rest of the room which turned out to be a mini apartment or more like just floor space. Off to one side was the bed that I woke up on and on the other side against the wall was a chemistry set sitting on top of the stove. Well fuck, I think I now know how I ended up in this fucking reality. With the window open, I could tell that the room used to be filled with fumes from what was clearly a tinker tech lab of bullshit.

Now that I had calmed down, I now knew for a fact that I was not only looking at a tinker tech lab but why I was here. I was still the same Mathew Jorgensen, but I was also the Mathew from this reality who was a fucking druggie who triggered as a fucking tinker. Not only did he trigger as a tinker, but he also had plans to see the Merchants in a few days and Skidmark of all people knew what I was up to.

Fucking, fucker, fuck, the bastard had made a deal to join the Merchant if Skidmark had liked the product made, but unfortunately, he died when the fumes had gotten too much and choked him to death in his sleep. Now here I was in his place having to clean this shit up myself before some asshole decided to put me in the body of a fucking junkie.

Shit, I was in the body of a junkie and that thought jogged the memories about the last time Mathew had gotten his fix. The moment that thought slid its way through my mind was the same moment ants started to crawl through my skin. Gritting my teeth, I got up off my ass and made it to the little tinker tech lab with some ideas of what I wanted to do.

Instead of being a dumb ass like the last Mathew, I turned the fire down from high to down low. Since I knew how to cook, I could also see that the Last Mathews impotence was what had gotten him killed in his pursuit of creating whatever that sludge was inside the pot.

Pulling the pot from the stove, I tossed it into the sink that was getting more than a little cluttered and found myself another pot that was far too large for what I had planned but it would have to do for now. While I was looking around, I not only noticed the transmutation circles posted up all over the makeshift kitchen, but I also had to chase away numerous ideas and information that kept popping up inside my head.

Looking around I found the lizard's blood and forced away the memories that came with how this came to be. My hands moved automatically with steady precision as I chopped, stirred, and measured the ingredients of the health potion.

With everything ready, I dropped all the ingredients inside of the boiling water and left it to simmer. Looking around the room for a blank sheet of paper, I found one sticking out from underneath the bed, fuck, I needed a new place.

Pushing aside those thoughts, I held up the paper and went through the task of figuring out the proper transmutation circle that would be able to complement the health potion that I was creating. All of that came to a grinding halt as I noticed the spider skittering across the floor.

I blinked once, then blinked two times, then started to blink rapidly as I had a massive oh shit moment, SPIDERMAN. Looking down at the alchemy circle, I had to erase all of my work before I just said fuck it and tossed the paper over my shoulder and went in search of another. Once I got another blank sheet, I started to redo all the work I had almost completed. This was going to infuse and improve instead of only enhance like the last sheet.

The potion that was set to brew was made to regenerate and invigorate with a touch of cleansing. That was all fine and dandy but I was in Worm, a literal hell world with death in two or so years and I would need a lot of firepower to survive, and so far. My specialty seems to be all of the alchemy even if I didn't exactly have all the tools that I would need.

If I remember correctly, they never actually stated the type of spider that bit Peter, Miles, or Gwen. All that they stated in the comics was that it was some super spider that came from the labs of Norman Osborn, but I was fucking tinker that worked with magic whale juice and I just needed an idea, a prayer, and to direct my magic whale juice to get it done.

I am embarrassed to say that I chased the little bastard all around the apartment only for the little shit to vanish. At the end of my rope and about to just give up, I did find a black widow chilling on top of what should have been a bread bag. That little bastard didn't even get the chance to escape as I slammed the bread bag over on it.

At the end of my rope with frayed nerves, I dropped the spider into a flask with some water, I left it at the side before checking on the heal potion which was all finished. Taking a moment to myself, I had to force down the urge to curl into a ball or search out the thing that would and could make the itching go away. Digging deep, I took a breather and stood back up with alot more resolve and alot more fucking crazy because I had to get this shit done and I would resort to human transmutation before I became a fucking junkie ever.

With a growl, I ran a hand over the countertop sending everything that wasn't part of the little tinker lab onto the floor. Not even caring, I then pulled out the blade in my pocket carving the circle that I needed into the countertop. Sitting the flask with the spider inside in the middle of the circle, I clapped both hands together and then placed them down. Blue arcs of electricity flowed around the sides as the spider melted into the water, turning the whole thing to light green in color.

Instinctively I knew what the little thing in front of me was and I could have sold it for millions on the market once I had its final product in hand. Holding up the green substance, my mind gave it a name: Essence of a Spider. Rolling my eyes at the foolishness of it all. I then carved another transmutation circle into the top of the counter and pulled out that one silver spoon Mathew was keeping to sell for rainy day funds.

Staring at both potions I sat then inside of the new circle and then placed the silver spoon inside to pay the price of what I wanted to happen next. I wasn't just in Worm, I was in Brockton bay of all places in the Merchant's fucking territory with a damn deal with Skidmark in three fucking days. So yeah, it was time to nut up or shut up.

Clapping my hands together, I then brought them down hard upon the alchemy circle activating the transmutation array. The silver spoon vanished first before the two flasks combined into one as I watched. When everything was said and done the potion had a silver and teal look to it with a few sparks being thrown up here and there inside the potion bottle.

Standing there and looking at what I had made, I couldn't help the smile that ran across my face. Settling down, I grabbed the potion bottle and went bottoms up, chugging the entire thing. I stood there licking my lips at the surprisingly grape flavor potion before ice hit my veins followed by fire.

Okay, I might have fucked up….

Before I could scream, before I could even get to the shitty phone that I had to call for help, everything went black as I passed out once more.

[4 hours later...]

I must have been dreaming because looking up I saw the sexiest man alive. Keanu Reeves stood over me wearing sexy leather chaps, leather vest with a banging silver metal arm. I watched as he knelt down and then removed his badass shades, "Wake the fuck up samurai," Keanu said in that sexy voice of his. "We got a city to burn."

Looking up at the holy man himself, I could only growl as I stood up, "Fuck right we do."

Standing up to my now full height of six feet seven inches, it felt damn good to be big black and beefy once more, even with new tricks. With a leap and flip, I twisted around and over landing lightly on my toes, looking down from my position on the ceiling I could barely stifle my full belly laugh.

Keanu was right or well Johnny was right, Worm had no idea what was about to hit it and Brockton even less. With another flip, I was back on the ground with a million and one ideas. Dashing back over to the tinker alchemy set, I got to work cleaning and putting away everything before moving over to the rest of the transmutation circles and papers. After about five hours of work, I had not only everything sorted but also packed up and ready for the move that I had planned out.

With the ratty blanket working as a makeshift backpack, I closed the door to the apartment since I would never be coming back. We were both Mathew Jorgensen, but I was actually doing something with my life before being transplanted into this one.

Hiking my pack a little higher unto my shoulder, I took off at a dash down the halfway before jumping down the stairs, ran along the wall, and kept going down three more flights before heading out the back. With a light jump, I was on my building wall and used that to kick off and up once more to bounce on the neighboring wall then to the roof.

If I was going to make anything of myself in this fucked up world then I would need a lot of space and alot of ventilation so I didn't die like the last Mathew, choking on all fumes. I didn't understand everything behind it but damn, having all the strength and powers of a human-sized spider were next fucking level and I wasn't looking towards going back to base human anytime soon.

The potion that I had taken was good for another forty-six hours until it worked its way through my digestive systems but plans were already floating through my mind on how to either make it permanent or create different powers in a bottle. All of that would need better equipment, but right now all I needed was a place to lay low and work on some things until my meeting with Skidmark.

Three jumps later brought me closer to the docks and onto a warehouse that stick had gates up, from what I could tell and remember from Mathew's memories, this was a fish place that was shut down because Squealer took the engines from their boats. The company, of course, was already losing funds so they just packed up and left the city instead of replacing the boats.

Stopping the cringe from showing, I pulled up one of the room windows easily breaking the latch that held it in place. Jumping through, I snagged one of the hooks, swung off, before then landed lightly on one of the conveyor belts.

Putting down my pack in the middle of the place, I went around checking all of the doors and windows finding them locked and happy that it was one of the few places the bums haven't gotten a chance to break into. Liking what I found, I then made my way back to where I had dropped my packs and pulled out a regular old-fashioned ice pick, and got to work drawing out a basic transmutation circle. A few scratches later and I had drawn out a basic circle with an energy exchange and control system.

With a clap and blue lights, the entire warehouse saw a dramatic change to its interior. Concrete shifted as if it was made from water. The doors melted into the walls same with the windows and everything shifted to my whims. Once I was finished the only way in or out was through an underground tunnel that let out next to a covered spot, I made three more outlets that I could use.

Happy with everything, I went out and dropped my last bit of cash on some quick and ready-made food to last me a few days before shutting myself inside to tinker up a few things for the party.

3 Days Later…

The clock was ticking down and all I could do was stare down at the Kakugane that I had made, also known by weebs everywhere as a Buso Renkin. I had built weapons, I had built potions like no other and created super serums, but this right here was my first real step into using alchemy to build myself real superpowers.

I had potions from fire immunity to grant lightning in a bottle, but none of those were things that could last because all it would take is one poke from Pan Pan to bring me back to square one. So I had decided to put all that tinker knowledge and my anime knowledge to the task of creating something that couldn't be taken from me no matter who tried.

Fitting that the number would be double O'seven since it did take me seven actual tries before I had gotten it right. The others were of course recycled into the Buso Renkin, but I had finally gotten there. Leaving my double O'seven on the desk, I went to the coat rack and pulled on my alchemist jacket, ripped straight from the Full Metal anime.

This jacket though was missing one sleeve which I didn't mind as I pulled on a white glove with red script on its back. Snapping my fingers a few times to get a feel for it, I smiled at the spark discharge before walking back over to the desk. I gave the email a quick once over before sending it off to Quinn Calle.

Happy with that, I then picked up the double O'seven and activated it. My left hand vanished in a blitz of digital light only to be replaced by cool silver metal starting from my shoulder down to my fingertips.

Ohh yeah, honestly I was already badass with a permanent version of my spider serum but this silver hand was just straight badass. It wasn't just aesthetically pleasing, it also came with a sweet power boost that even I didn't see coming. Clenching and unclenching my fist, I smiled down at my new hand knowing that double the strength wasn't even the tip of this iceberg.

Picking up my Winter Soldier mask from the desk, I placed it on my face then tested its rebreather function and full head armor mode before letting it collapse once more. Blinking rapidly as the micro-projector syncs with my eyes, I then let it shrink into a little Bluetooth device next to my ears before giving it a tap allowing it to cover the lower half of my face and neck. Walking over to my weapons rack, I then picked up my rotary grenade launcher and ammo belt, and bandolier. Picking up the two sig sauers, I placed them in holsters that I had made while double checking the custom ammo.

Leaving the M4 on its rack, I checked over my place one last time and before jumping upwards grabbed the hook up top before using it to swing up and out onto the roof. Landing into a crouch, gave my surroundings a glance before standing up and making for the edge of the building.

With the slight bending of my legs, I was launched clear across the street below spanning two sidewalks and four lanes. Before when I had first come this way, I had barely made it but now with all my upgrades it was such an easy jump that I had over shot damn near two other buildings.

Smiling at the freedom granted to me by my bullshit space whale juice powers, I kept up the pace until I was deep inside Merchant territory. It was easy to tell where I was since there weren't any street lights that still worked or any roads that were proper without fucking pot holes. The only way to get around the place was to be in either one of Squealer's rides, walk or fly overhead. Well, that was until someone like myself came along and decided that I wanted to hit that hardcore parkour.

Landing three buildings down from the building that doubled as Squealers main garage. Standing on the roof and overlooking the party, I had to give it to the little gremlin, he knew how to party. Even if that party wasn't something that I was interested in at all, I wasn't one to share holes and from the looks of things. My dick might fall off if I decided to take any of those women to bed.

Shuddering at that thought, I pulled out my grenade launcher and took aim at the house with the sick ass music pumping out of it. I took aim at the top two windows, then let out a sigh and put my launcher away then jumped down and landed with a badass three-point super hero landing. With another badass swish of my alchemy jacket that also flowed like a cape. I stepped out of the mini creator like a badass and strolled forward like a man on a mission.

Those who turned to see me parted out of my way as if I was Moses himself standing before the Nile. Back straight and with cocksure confidence, I walked right into the party surrounded by all of the Merchants with not a care in the world.

Walking into the house, I walked up to the king shitstain himself and parked my ass on the couch across from him.

"Cunt licking shit muncher you brought my fucking stuff?" Skidmark spat.

Leaning back in my seat, I just looked across the room at him. Skidmark was in a ratty looking costume with a purple bandana wrapped around his eyes with two holes cut into the front. All along both arms you could see the track marks from all the spots he juiced up and his lips were crusty and broken.

Staring back at him, I put my hands out over the back of the horrible couch and told it like it was to his face.

"I didn't bring you shit, but you got something I want," I replied with a calculating gaze taking in the man before me. He had Squealer on his left and she looked spaced the fuck out while Mush was on the right, standing just behind Skidmark and trying to act like muscle.

"You taint licking booty hole slobbering -"

Skidmark got no further as I tossed a flash potion and kicked up the table then flipped my way over the couch. As I rolled over the back, I pulled out a shield potion and threw it down at my feet as I came back up with my 40 mic mic at the ready, but even though I was, Mush damn sure wasn't ready as a round took him in the chest.

Mush never had a chance as he was immolated on the spot, a blade popped out of my left wrist and with a quick two swings heads rolled. The blade snapped back in as I fired off another shot at Squealer capturing her within a bubble shot. She screamed but she was captured like those crashed drivers out of the movie Speed Racer. Smirking at how easy that was, I stalked forward as Skidmark was still on his ass cussing up a storm, damn this was all too easy, but if you weren't being a cheating cheat cheater then you weren't trying to survive the hellhole that this world was.

Skidmark must have known that I was coming for that ass because he shot out from his prone location like a bat out of hell. He hit the back door and tumbled out, got up and ran but I was already taking long and swift strides in his direction. The door slammed shut in my face but that wasn't even a stumbling block as I ran right through it, ripping the steel door off the hinges.

My shields made themselves known as bullets flared blue as Skidmark peppered me with his velocity stacked ammunition. Walking through the rain of bullets as if I was the terminator reborn, I stalked after Skidmark as he slid and jumped around on his stacked velocity panels.

I watched the little bastard jump from one panel to the next safe in the fact that he was getting further and further away from me, then as he jumped I launched my rocket fist forward. The little bastard's eyes went wide in surprise, but he was stuck in a high arc with nowhere to go.

My hands wrapped around his neck and I almost gagged from how crusty his clothing felt but it was the dirt that was on his skin that really gave me an issue. Metal hand or not but my double O'seven arm gave me all of the feedback that my natural arm would with temperature transfer even with all the goodies that I had stashed inside the arm.

Skidmark let out a squeak of panic as my rocket arm came flying back with him in my grasp. Pulling out a stasis potion, I slammed it into his chest, freezing him on the spot, then I pulled out a bubble canister and encased the shitstain in that before picking him up and running back towards the party.

With a bit of fun, I burst through the wall with a: "OHH YEAH!!"

With a twist, I gave the two jackasses who were trying to get away with Squealer inside of her own bubble wrap. I picked her up and then went through the hole in the wall that I had made. Ignoring them all, I took off into the night and then made my way to the roof of a few buildings down before heading home. It might not have been a quick in and out, but I had been able to test a few things out. One thing I found out about tonight was that I needed to make something that would shrink people down or items down to make them more portable and easier to carry.

I guess it was time to put my tinker lab to work and see if I could make the pym partial type potion. Those thoughts were pushed to the side as I landed on top of my building once more. Dropping down the hatch, I didn't even reach for the hook and just took the brunt of the fall.

Walking over to the massive metal double doors that led underneath my warehouse, I walked inside. Locking the doors behind me, I dropped both assholes in separate jail cells directly across from each other that were at least twenty feet apart. The cells ran from the floor directly into the ceiling with bare bars.

Dropping them both in the cells, I transmuted the bars back into place before leaving to hit a few of Skidmark's stash houses. After leaving my little home away from well, home. I started visiting the stash houses that I knew about and made through the walls like I was the kool-aid man. Lucky for me and unlucky for the rest of the Merchants. I took the entire fucking safe with me.

With Skidmark locked away in a cell, I went back to where the party was and made sure to dispose of Squealer's trucks while also snatching one of the engines hanging over what used to be a SUV. This was for when she was cleaned up so that she had a place to start instead of ground zero all over again.

It was somewhere around six or seven in the morning before I was finally finished with all the bullshit. Taking one of the underground entrance tunnels, I went to my security booth and checked the CCTV to see if the junkies did anything interesting only to find them curled up already going through withdrawals. I tried and failed to keep the disdain from my features as I looked over the two even with Skidmark still talking his shit.

Turning the security CCTV back to silent, I left my security room and went over to my work table and looked over the power crystal that I had been working on alongside my double O'seven silver hand. What was going to be a power crystal was set within an arm bracer made by alchemic leather that not only came with durability but also its own enchantment that is set to work with the multiple sockets for other power crystals if I could swing it later.

Removing the power crystal from the bracers locking mechanism, I placed it inside of a claw stand that was sitting inside of a transmutation circle. What I was about to do was human transmutation but also not human transmutation in the traditional sense of the word. I wasn't trying to craft new flesh or create a body or human, no. What I was trying to do was sacrifice the flesh and soul to link the shard to the power crystal.

There were plenty of ideas on how to make this happen but I was more along the lines of creating tools for me to use later or compliment my own powers and abilities. Sure, I had super strength which also gave super speed, with enhanced regeneration, superior eyesight and dynamic range of motion with fluidity of a cat, but I was human. So greed was of course one of my flaws and I really didn't need someone like Skidmark as my minion.

With my mind made up, I brought my hands together as if in prayer cycling alchemical energy within my body before bringing them down gently into the power control sections of the circle. For a split second, I thought nothing had happened and that the trace leads down to the cell below were broken or wasn't done properly. Then my thoughts went fuzzy as the world shifted into a cascade of white.

I blinked once, then blinked twice, then blinked once more as a mouth ringed by darkness smiled down at me before I then noticed the rest of the body all white out with only the black outline. Then I was back in the warehouse staring down at a green power crystal.

Well, fuck me sideways, that was THE TRUTH...

Nausea and an epic urge to be sick washed over me as panic flared deep within my soul. Taking deep gulps of air, I just sat there in my seat and thought about what could have been a monumental fuck up. And as I thought about it, I felt like a fucking junkie or a gambler in Las Vegas just wanted one more gamble.

This was hard to think about because if I got it wrong then it would be my death, but ohh if I got this right then I would no longer need that shard inside of my head. This was massive because then SCION wouldn't be able to kill me by just yanking on it.

I sat and made plans within plans that I might just end up tossing away since I actually knew myself and wasn't going to lie to my own face about these things. So with that, five to ten minutes passed swiftly before my wrist watch rang and I got up and went over to my alchemy set, I gave the potion fluid a quick once over before taking a clean needle and filling it with a mark three healing solution with my own little twist in the mix.

Once the solution was squared away, I then prepped my lab for solving the damn pym particle situation because that would come in hand for a lot of things down the road. Happy with a few of the reagents that I set to simmer, I got up from my seat, took the syringe then my power bracer and slotted the power crystal into the middle hole.

I gave my wrist a few rotations before opening myself to the power, then within one of those blink and you miss it moments, multiple force fields made themselves known around me all with different velocities and angles.

Stacking multiple fields underneath my feet, I slid forward as if I was on skates, my impeccable balance at work helping me to show off the grace and agility of a cat. With a chuckle, I slid along the ground, wall, and ceilings before stopping at the doors leading to my little mack shaft jail cell. And headed for the cells downstairs.

Putting two fingers to the door, I pulsed a little bit of power unlocking the seal before walking inside. With a slight pause, I took half a second to look at the ash on the floor that used to be Skidmark before bringing my full attention to what was clearly trailer trash with a banging body.

Sherial Bailey also known as Squealer might have been a drugged out mess with massive double D breasts, ribs showing, short shorts that barely covered anything, but at least she was worth a damn over. A tinker could make or break a group and she was extremely under utilized as being one of the Merchants. Even as I stood at the bars to her cell I could tell that she used to be a looker once, and since I was pretty sure that her diet was cum and cocaine, I still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that she wasn't skin and bones yet.

Pushing those thoughts aside, I placed the syringe inside of the cell and tried not to cringe at how quickly she dived for it, thinking that this would be her fix. I didn't even reply, instead, I pulled up a chair and watched as she injected herself with my creation looking for her next high.

Standing at my cell, I watched as Squealer started to shake and shudder as the regen ran rampant through her body, cleaning out all of the drugs while in her system and fixing every little thing that was wrong with her. Dirty blonde hair fell out to only be replaced by golden curls, even her crusty and blemished skin fell away and was replaced by flawless creamy complexion. The transformation continued for another few minutes before the changes on the outside of her body came to an end.

Standing with my arms folded behind my back, I watched and waited until my reward was made known by Sherell standing up from where she used to be thrashing on the floor. She gave her clothes a disdainful sniff before shuddering. I then watched as Sherell looked around once more before spotting me standing before her cell.

Her back straightened and she took three steps in my direction and I could already see the improvement in her grace and balance. She stood before the bars and gave me a half bow of the head. "Master, may I be released?"

Ohh there was no stopping the mad cackle that escaped my lips, Johnny was right, this samurai was going to burn down the fucking establishment.
