Dealing With Lizard and Tony's Party!

*The Next Day*

Gwen looked like she was lacking sleep. Same for the other three. Now I feel bad to leave it to them. Wanda asked what happened, to which I just said trouble. She didn't like my vague answer, but didn't ponder. Apparently Connors went back to Oscorp around 6 in the morning, when Gwen was sleeping, and took the diffusor from the lab, fighting Gwen. She couldn't stop him, and also knew now what he was planning. Connors had seen the antidote she was creating, all thanks to her trying to calm him down, which worked horribly. Thankfully, he couldn't take the antidote away or destroy it.

And thanks to a giant lizard monster caught on Oscorp's cameras, police were officially on hunt for the Spider's and Lizard. There was someone who talked about me, but was completely ignored. Guess they are still scared of me.

Anyway, lunch was finally over and we were going back to our classes, when suddenly we heard a scream ahead in the hallway, and Connors himself came out of there. Unlike the movies, he was saying Gwen's name now repeatedly. I told everyone to run and exit from two different places, the Spider's sneaked out in the panic. I didn't go, but still kept an eye out with aura, and also Star platinum.

The fight broke out, and Gwen's ice ability came in handy there. Guess something good does happen. Harry was looking for Gwen, when I told him she went the other way. He was still worried but we managed to calm him down. Connor's finally retreated, and the spider's followed, but couldn't keep up. It was his home advantage after all.

After the whole incident, the school was closed off for a week. the Spider's were tired and hurt, so went back to the base. After the whole media thing, everyone went their ways, while I went to check on Peter and the other three.

I went in and asked " You guys alright?"

"Do we look alright to you?" They grunted in unison.

"I heard him grunt your name, what happened?" I asked looking at Gwen. She told me what happened at Oscorp.

"So did you use the antidote?" I asked.

"No, the needle broke against his skin", Gwen said in a disappointed tone.

"So you are saying the thing he stole can convert liquid into gases and was designed to launch an antidote in case of a disease breakout? Then it could be used the other way as well, couldn't it?" Peter said draining the color from their faces.

"We need to find him now." Gwen said and got up, only for me to hold her and stop her from standing up. "Alex I-" she said but I interrupted. "Not now, first you need to recover, plus your dad has just joined the task force for catching you, more of a reason to stay in. Just focus on resting, while Oracle produces the antidote. I will try to find Connors as well, and tell you when he shows up, but he will probably do that in middle of night or early morning, so rest up." I said, finally convincing them, and went out. Today is gonna be a long night.

*3rd POV, Night Time*

Gwen had taken a hotel near Oscorp with MJ, since Connors would require a high place to launch it. While Miles was on the top Empire State Building ready for action. They each have three vials of serum respectively. The new one's had a harder needle, also with option to attach in a spray, to well, spray the antidote. Peter was in the base, looking through the police radio and various CCTV for any clues. They knew the police were looking for him as well, but they had to stop Connors.

Suddenly Oracle informed him that a CCTV caught Connors, and he was going towards Oscorp. He informed the other's and went towards the place. He started swinging, but in a hurry forgot to turn on stealth mode, leading him to get on the police's radar. Oracle warned him about it, and before he could switch to stealth mode, his Spider-sense started ringing, leading him to avoid the taser-bullets. He looked down to see police chasing after him , and started swinging away, avoiding the bullets, but on the edge, he got caught off-guard and got shot by the bullet. Though his suit was taser-proof, these one's were powerful enough to stun him for a second, letting him fall.

The police were relived seeing him fall, but suddenly a wire came and looped around him, and pulled him up. They thought it was another Spider, but seeing the one who did this stunned them.

The one who pulled him up was Enigma. He looked towards George and said. "You disappoint me. There is a freaking giant lizard who's trying to launch a bio-bomb but here you are, trying to hunt down your competition. Instead of catching those who did wrong, you are trying to catch who did right and stood up against them. But no, you couldn't have someone do the same thing could you. It's all because of your pride." He said loud and clear for every officer there to hear, and both Gwen's and Miles's dad were there, looking down in guilt. Enigma unwrapped Spidey and said, "Go."

Spiderman nodded to him and swung away. He looked back down and said, "So you are going to stand there, or help them take down the lizard guys heading to Oscorp with a serum that can convert others into lizards like him?" and disappeared from the rooftop. The police snapped out and started moving towards Oscorp as well. The media also got the whiff of it and went towards it, and so did Norman, who started cursing everything.

*3rd POV end*

Shield has started moving towards the lizard as well. Apparently, most of their agents were focusing on the X-booster more, thus ignoring Connors. Hydra did plan to catch him, but neither of them expected a bioweapon of all things.

I started making my way as well, this time on my trusty T-cycle, catching many eyes. I got near the place, and launched it up towards the wall, starting scaling it up. All people below were stunned seeing a bike drive up a wall. Connors had apparently experimented on some lizards, mutating them, since he was outnumbered by the spider's. Peter had managed to reach in time, and started fighting Connors, while other three were handling the nine mutated lizards, three each respectively. I landed on the roof and fired liquid nitrogen pellets stored in the bike, killing four of them. Other's were surprised, but Connors was horrified seeing me kill them with ease. The other three started taking care of the remaining five, while I took out the elemental pistol I made ,and as the name sounds, shoots projectile depending on the elemental energy I transfer to it. He wasn't ready for this and I fired at his joint's freezing them, giving Peter enough time to insert the antidote. This antidote was produced by Oracle and had changes, like preventing him from going lizard completely, but regaining his arm. I had plans to get him out of Shield custody later. He was a victim of other's deeds after all. Other's relaxed, defeating the mutates, while I took the compound Connors had created secretly. I told them Police were coming, and we all got out.

I, of course, jumped my bike off the roof, and aligned it with the wall of the next building, jumping over approx. 500m, over police and media, riding away, while the Spider's used the glider in their suit and then swung away. I had told them to rest and I will talk about the team later. All-in-all, a well spent night.

*Fisk POV*

Fisk threw the glass in his hand to the TV showing Enigma jumping form the roof of Oscorp.

"You destroyed me, and probably discovered my plans as well. But I will destroy you, doesn't matter how many little friends you make. I will destroy them as well and takeover New York once again. No one messes with the Kingpin. NO ONE!"

*Fisk POV end*

*Nick Fury POV*

Fury was really mad right now. Enigma had actually been playing the game of chase for quite a while now, and they still knew nothing about him. Nothing! He even hacked his personal pc sending him occasional things he found, using Shield as a clean-up crew of sorts. The Spider's showed up as well, but they couldn't find them either. They were powerful, probably a mutant family or a super-soldier experiment, but not as skilled. But their powers were enough to avoid Shield. Though they knew they were somewhere from Queens or Brooklyn, they couldn't find them.

And since last week, they have been getting shock after shock. First was his battle with hand. They had fought the five fingers before, and knew the had a form of resurrection, after killing two of them, only for them to return. When Enigma declared war, they thought he would be in for a surprise when he finds Gao alive again, but it was them who got the shock. He really did kill Gao. And last week, he killed three more, leaving only Alexandra. Fury needed him. His skill, his secrets, everything. He was too much of a variable, and not in their control.

He had been especially busy since Charles Xavier sent him information of a mutant serum made by William Stryker, of M-department of USA military. The drug was too dangerous and needed to be controlled, but when he asked where Xavier got this information, his name came up again. The council wanted to catch him any means necessary, they thought he was avoiding us because he was scared of Shield. But the next day, they decided not to go after him.

Fury was dumbfounded. These greedy bastards backed down. But he could see the fear in them, and knew Enigma did something. Most probably he had dirt on the council members. But what he was most confused about was the fact that his friend Pierce was the one who was the most flustered. Why? He was the best man he knew. Fury started having doubts, but said nothing. He even left the Lizard case as he was fighting the Spiders. He wanted to know how good the Spiders are. The news of a bio-bomb scared him, but Enigma and the Spiders had took care of it. He was relived, yet scared. He wanted Enigma under him at all costs. And he will get him. But for now, there are more important matters.

*Fury POV end*

*2 days later*

Today was Tony's birthday party. I knew it would be madness and decided to go a little late. I also made my hair and eyes completely black for it. I reached half-an-hour later, only to find Pepper angrily storming out with Natasha, or should I say Natalie now.

"Pepper... and Miss Rushman? I said stopping her. She saw me and said, "Alex, don't go in. Tony has gone mad." But instead of looking at her, I was staring at Natalie, well actually glaring a little, which only Natasha felt, but Pepper didn't.

"Alex, you know her?" She asked frowning.

"Oh yes I do, She used to be my middle school history teacher." I said, but keen listeners could find sarcasm in my voice, which Natasha did, and she realized I knew who she was.

But she still smiled and said "It's nice to meet you again Alex, I wasn't expecting to see you here."

"Neither did I. You know, we have a new history teacher in our high school, her teaching style reminded me of you a lot of times." I said with a snark. Then I turned to Pepper and asked "What did you mean Tony has gone mad".

She turned red in anger again and said, "You'll understand once you see for yourself." Then left with Nat following behind her. I glared at Nat for about two seconds then went in. If I am right, he'll definitely come for a visit!
