My Doomsday Diary

On a desolate street, multiple zombies were wondering unconsciously.

Trace of salivas hanging on their lips, a pair of reddish eyes showing blazing cold creepiness.

The world had gone through a major change before. A virus wave appeared on earth and turned the earth into a slaughterhouse.

Countless humans turned into zombies…. or more accurately, the virus infection led to the loss of self-consciousness and then turned them into crazy killing monsters….

The survivors could only hide inside the city's corners like mice while hoping that help would come in their way.

However, not all people were helpless. In a small apartment, Rochen was holding a small book while scratching his head.

" Damn, this book is really awesome. If not for this book, I don't know how I could survive through this apocalypse."

On his hand was a small book with "Rochen's Doomsday diary" written on its title.

Two weeks ago, Rochen found this book suddenly appeared in his room, and from then, Rochen had used this book as his guidance to survive.

The book predicted the apocalypse and contained some necessary means required to survive, including some food and shelter locations.

In the beginning, Rochen thought that this book was a scam. He had thrown away the book multiple times, only to discover it had appeared again in his room.

If not for the book to list some secret facts that only Rochen knew himself, he would definitely not believe that this book came from the future.

" But to write Rion's K-cup in the first paragraph of the book, it seems me in the future is a pervert as well."

Rochen closed the book as he gathered the supplies he got from the apartment inside his bag. Then, he began to open a huge map that he had prepared before.

" Two places had been explored today, but the first one was full of zombies, and I could not get the loots. *Sigh* It's just been one day from the apocalypse, but the situation was getting worse with every second passed by."

He proceeded to cross two locations he had marked before on the map. The map was full of the supplies location written in the book, and until now, all the book had never missed.

After crossing two of the locations, Rochen returned the big map to his bag and opened the book once more.

" It seems that I must fasten the process of ascending my class."

The book's first few pages contained all the information Rochen needed to survive, but the real treasure was the second and third parts of the book.

The second part consisted of the types of zombies and their evolutions, including their weaknesses and strength. Using the info in the book, Rochen could easily finish a few zombies on his own during the process of gathering supplies.

Rochen's eyes focused as he flipped the book into the third part.

In this part, the book explained stats, class, and job, including information about some special classes and how to get them.

During the time of the apocalypse, a system panel suddenly appeared in front of everyone.

Humans could check their status using the system panel and use them to assess the condition of their own bodies.

After defeating some zombies, Rochen's status has raised into Middle first class. The panels didn't specify how many zombies needed to be killed to advance to the next class, but it should not be that far away from Rochen's estimation.

The requirement to get a job was to raise his class to peak first-class and finish some job required conditions.

Based on Rochen's own prediction, it should only take one more day until he becomes a peak first-class, and then he could change to a new job the day after.

"The sun is going down. We will call it a day."

This apartment was not safe. Zombies got wilder during the night, and Rochen needed to go back to his own safe place.

He took everything to his bag and silently left the apartment.

His current location was somewhat abandoned, and other than a few more handful people, there should be no more than 100 people in this area.

From the apartment to his safe location, he needed to cross a street. Rochen took out some firecrackers he had prepared and was ready to light them up.

Using the firecrackers, Rochen made some noise in the opposite direction and attracted most of the zombies from this street over there.

However, some zombies were still not attracted by the noise, and Rochen must handle them to safely cross the street.

Rochen pulled out a military knife as he approached one of them.

While the zombie was attracted by the sound and didn't notice his whereabouts, Rochen held the knife, rushed behind him, and chopped the head in one move.

*Plak*

The zombie's head rolled to the ground as Rochen successfully one-shot it.

Because of the appearance of the Doomsday Diary, Rochen was able to have some time to prepare for the apocalypse. And during that time, he used about half of his time to learn some knife skills.

Rochen was no prodigy, and he could only learn some basic knife skills during those days. But with his middle-first class strength, it was somewhat enough to deal with the current low-level zombies.

As the zombie was killed, Rochen felt a rush of energy entering his body. It was very subtle, but he felt that the distance between him and the peak first-class was getting smaller.

Before the end of the world, Rochen was just an ordinary student. He was very ordinary in every aspect and had almost no special skills.

And to make it worse, Rochen was a business major, which almost has no use in the current apocalypse era.

When he killed zombies for the first time, it was a horrifying experience. Even after the killing, he felt terrified, and his brain could not think straight for a while.

He stopped caring about the zombie and proceeded to go to his safe location. The sun was getting lower, and it would be very dangerous if he was still outside when the sun has set.
