Torment
The night was growing darker and mystified with every passing minute. The intense nightfall breeze along with the sound of owls hooting aloud all around was clearly echoing the entire area.
After slowly regaining her consciousness, Eva breathed heavily, trying to open both her eyes, blinking them softly. She could sense both of her arms were crossed behind her back, tied hard with a rope. As she peeped her eyes, she could see herself lying down amidst deep dark woods on the grass facing sideways.
Her legs were free as she could move them a little bit. But her body seemed much heavier with an unknown tingling pain all over. Her mind was still feeling dazed and puzzled. The back of her head where she was hit was throbbing with a palpitating sensation which was quite difficult for her to endure.
