CHAPTER 68: CANCELED PLANS

The blue sky was surrounded by whit clouds with the sun peeping from one time or the other only to be replaced by the approaching darkness of the night. Soon it was night time and stars decorated the dark sky along with the moon that stress at the ground below.

Far away from the city itself,in country M, one of the buildings stood tall and mighty with lights penetrating through the transparent windows.

On one of the floors where only two people sat across each other admist the vast room filled with empty tables and chairs where there was no one to occupy them. Mia continued to seat down fascinated by what Ryan had prepared and the latter watched every expression she had on her face . He lived the happiness that danced in her eyes and the smile that graced her lips

"enjoying your night?" he asked while his ha d reached to take his fork.

"I am..." she paused then added "thank you Ryan fir everything you've done for me ,today has been the best day of my life".

There were things that had happened and it was only because of him even if it had resulted in her growing feelings for him,it was something she didn't regret having. She didn't know if she could do anything to repay for the things he's done and she knew the least she could do was to thank him,but somewhere it wasn't enough for her.

To add to it all,Ryan shared the same feelings as her and her happiness keeps on bubbling.

Ryan took her hand,he felt how soft and tender they were, bringing it close to his lips ,he kissed it "this won't be just the happiest, there are still more to come and I promise to make them special" he smiled.

Mia's eyes fell on their hands and she couldn't help but take note of how small her hand was compared to Ryan. ,she was his thumb trace on her fingers and it left a weird sensation on her where her heart skipped

"is there some other place you would like to see next!" He asked her.

Earlier that day,after the duo had their meals at the meadow and staying there for sometime. Ryan had taken mia to the location of his private jet that had the girl confused.

HOURS BEFORE

"where are we going?" mia asked as Ryan light tugged her along. She looked at the jet that stood in front of them then turn to look at him with questions in her eyes

"where do you want to go?" he asked her back and saw how she turn to look behind her before bringing her attention back to him

"I thought you were the one deciding the place"

"I already have a place in mind but thought maybe there is somewhere you wanted to see" he replied.

Mia have it some thought before her eyes finally lit up she smiled "country M,I've gone there only to attend meetings but haven't explored it". The place was fascinating something she wanted to see for herself,she had been occupied with work and hadn't thought about it but with Ryan giving her a chance to choose she couldn't be happier at the opportunity.

"alright then, let's go" he led towards the jet and they both entered while taking their seats,the pilot already taking his position at the front.

Ryan helped her with the seat belt before taking his seat next to hers. She held her breath when the jet took off.

"did you cancel all your plans?"she turned to ask him knowing it was going to be a long day and they may not be coming back anytime soon and she wondered if she should have told Hannah.

"mark will take care of the company matters"he hummed

Back to the present where their hands were Intertwined,Ryan awaited Mia's answer.

"do you mean in this city or some place else?" she asked to confirm

"any where you wish" he simply said while they walked towards the car that was parked by the side.

"let's go to the amusement park" she said excitedly that was soon cut shirt when drops of water fell from the sky before it increased into heavy rain drops.

Soon they were soaked,mia shivered due to the cold and Ryan immediately led her towards the car. None of them had taken note of the change in weather. Ryan reached towards the back seat and brought out a coat before handing it to her

"thank you" she whispered and when she brought it closer,she could smell his cologne and she inhaled it.

"the rain isn't going to stop anytime soon "Ryan stated staring outside the window,with different people running to take shelter,he turn to look at her "feeling better?"

Mia nodded and Ryan started the car and drove off,the plan of going to the amusement park would be cancelled.

"are we going to a hotel?" she asked knowing they were going to a place to stay

"something like that"Ryan smiled but Mia's question grew but she didn't ask

Her eyes fell on a huge building that was coming into view,he parked the car and the duo stepped out. Mia had his coat around her shoulders,her hair swaying with the heavy wind. They stepped in with their shoes clicking against the clean floor.

"Mr Garcia , welcome" the receptionist greeted as soon as she caught sight of him and for the briefest moment,her eyes fell on Mia.

"have coffee sent to the penthouse" he said then walked along with mia.

"penthouse" she whispered in her head before nodding to herself.

Soon they arrived at the penthouse and mia couldn't help but marvel at the sight in front of her,she walked in and towards one of the large transparent windows looking at the view below with drops of water sticking to the glass.

She felt a firm grip around her waist as Ryan had hugged her from behind ,he kissed the nape of her neck .

"who knew you have this side of you?" she said turning her head to look at him where their nose touched .

"it's only for you" his hand reached for the tip of her, he played with it between his fingers.

"it's cold,you should have a warm bath" said Ryan as he led her towards the bathroom,she opened the door and peeked inside before turning in time to see Ryan coming out from another room that she assumed to be the closest because of the cloth he had in his hand.

"here you go"

"aren't you going to have a bath?" she asked him as he was also touched by the cold wind earlier,he must be cold she thought.

"are you asking me to join you?"he teased and her face immediately turn red "no". Closing the door behind her ,she reached for her face that felt hot, there was no need for a warm bath with how her body was reacting.
