"Yu Hiuyin! Stop right there, you fucking bitch!" a howl resounded in the narrow alleyway as a figure was seeing darting away.
The one who was howling was a young man, around twenty-four years old. His expression was ugly, there were bruises on his face, his lip and eyebrow were cut, and blood was streaming down his face.
The person he was calling at did not stop, as he had expected, instead she darted even faster away from him, a snicker appearing on her loveable red lips, but it soon turned to a frown as she pulled at a cut on her cheek.
Her eyes were like the starry sky, glistening with excitement and happiness. Anyone who looked within them could see the youthful energy of a young lady, and one could easily get lost within.
Her skin was pale and resembled porcelain, so beautiful that one might even think that she had powder all over her, the skin was simply too fair.
Her features were stunning, it was as if she had been carved from jade, her nose was straight and beautiful, her phoenix eyes astonishing, and her willow-like eyebrows finished it off perfectly.
Her figure was not something to look down upon either; she was tall for a woman, and her legs were long and so slender that men would want to feel them. Her body was well endowed; her chest was swelling in just the right size, her bottom also as perfect as a human being could be.
If one just looked at her features, then it was hard to believe that she was not a national treasure celebrity. However, her beautiful features were marred with wounds, her long frail arms had cuts and bruises all over, and even the clothes she wore were worn out, cheap and clearly not something a celebrity would wear.
She rushed out of the alleyway and into the busy street, her face was cast downward, and she tried her best not to be noticed by anyone. She rushed through the busy streets towards the subway, and after getting onboard, she reached the outskirts of the capital, a dangerous neighborhood filled with crime, and beggars.
Yu Huiyin was walking casually through the dangerous streets, she walked as if she knew them on the back of her hand, and walked down dark side streets that people usually would avoid.
"Hey little Yin!" someone called out, and she turned around to see a large man filled with tattoos walk towards her. He was intimidating, scary and in no way someone that people wanted to meet in these small side streets, but when Yu Huiyin saw him, a smile broke out on her lips, "Uncle!" she called out happily.
"Haha, kids these days are so busy growing up, say hi to your grandfather and brother for me! Your brother is the pride of our neighborhood!"
"I will," she said with a nod of her head. This man was not her biological uncle, but a resident of the slums they were currently in. He was not a law abiding citizen, and what he did, even Yu Huiyin was unaware, and she never asked, but he was friendly towards her, and thus she wanted to return his kindness.
Like this, she encountered many dangerous looking people on her way, but all of them were friendly towards her and greeted her with enthusiasm. A few made jokes about her current bruises and wounds, but most of them considered it battle scars.
She soon made it to an apartment complex that was so old and worn down that it seemed as if the roof would come crashing down at any moment, but to Yu Huiyin, this was her haven, and she hurried into one of the apartments on the ground floor.
It was a small apartment with a combined kitchen and sitting room, one bedroom, and one bathroom.
She shared the bedroom with her younger brother. Each of them had their mattress on each side of the room, and then there was a small closet with their clothes in, her grandfather lived in the sitting room.
The moment she entered a ladle was thrown her way, and she expertly dodged to the side, hearing it crashing against the door behind her.
"Grandpa, I am also happy to see you again!" she exclaimed happily as if she was not at all bothered by the ladle that had been thrown at her.
"You stinking girl, do you know how much I worry about you?" an aged voice asked, and when she looked up she saw her grandfather standing in the kitchen, cooking noodles for her, "I know you need to let out steam, but do you have to end up fighting all the time? Your delicate and beautiful face is always marred with wounds and injuries. I don't like it at all."
"I'm sorry, grandpa," she said thoughtfully, but in her heart, she knew it was impossible for her to stop fighting. It was not often she started the fights, but somehow she always ended up in them. However, she did not dislike it. Battles like those made her feel alive; when the adrenaline was rushing through her body, she truly felt much more alive than ever before.
"Sis, you know he means well," a youthful voice sounded instead, "You are a young woman, you should go to university, but for my sake, you began working. I feel guilty, you won't even let me take a part-time job, and all the frustrations bottled up, letting you only loosen up when you fight,"
The one who spoke was a young boy, sixteen years old, and his name was Yu Feihong.
Hello!
This is my newest novel, Money-Grubbing Lover.
It will, hopefully, have one chapter a day released around reset time.
Because I am focusing on Blossoming Flowers (My Life or Your Memory) I cannot do guaranteed chapters for this novel before the other novel is done, but after, this one will go onto 2 chapters a day.
Thank you for reading!
