Miracle Wing

In the private room, Lei Zhen could feel the warmth of Tang Qiaolian's hand on his shoulder.

Although it was just a small gesture of hers, it seemed to have a magical effect in calming.

His anger had started to subside when he started to think things through.

Being angry is never a solution to a problem. Not to mention, being angry is a tiring thing to do.

"You can sit back down, Qiaolian. I'm fine already." Lei Zhen said calmly.

"And thank you for the information. I'm pretty sure this is confidential information since no one knew about Shan Zhikong being a major shareholder of the Lei Enterprise."

Tang Qiaolian herself came from the upper class, so confidential information like this that is blocked to the public is definitely something she had access to.

However, relaying this information to him is a different matter. Confidential information is sensitive information and once leaked, it could cause a country's economy to crumble depending on the severity of it.

By telling him this information, she risked herself and the people behind her to danger.

What you think might be simple information, could actually be information enough to cause people to send assassins to assassinate you.

"I'll keep this information in my heart. I won't reveal this to anyone." Lei Zhen said seriously.

Tang Qiaolian nodded her head.

"I trust you."

These were the three words that she said. Nothing else was needed besides the simple 'I trust you'.

Sometime later, the two managed to cool off from the revelation they had talked about and went back to discussing his experience problem.

"Anyway, I suppose the only solution is to go back to Lux Forest, but the level restriction there prevents you from entering." Tang Qiaolian said, finding the problem tricky to solve.

"What is the minimum level required to step foot in the Lux Forest?"

"You'll need to be at least level 55 to enter the Lux Forest. However, the high-ranking players and experts would suggest you enter when you're level 70."

"That high?" Lei Zhen was stupefied to find the level required to be such a far-fetched place. He barely managed to become level 2 and that was still a large margin to level 55.

"Why do the experts suggest one to be at least level 70 to enter Lux Forest?" He asked, finding it a bit intriguing. There should have been a reason why the experts would suggest players enter when they are higher level than the restriction.

"Right… you're still a newbie." Tang Qiaolian snickered. "The Lux Forest houses monsters that are buffed to no end because of the environment. Hence, even though monsters are level 55, they are akin to boss-type monsters that are tanky and deal a ton of damage."

"Sigh, that means I have no hope except character deletion." Lei Zhen rubbed his forehead, feeling a headache.

"That may not be the case, Lei Zhen. There's actually another method to be eligible to explore Lux Forest, and that is to gain the recognition of the king in Yors Castle." Tang Qiaolian clasped her hand and said.

And she continued, "The Yors Castle is a prosperous place and can be considered the haven in Magnolia. Not only is the equipment sold in the Yors Kingdom great, but the commercial value in itself is one of the highest."

"Yors Castle? Isn't that the place that Robert Knightman came from?" Lei Zhen finally understood the reason for his experience points being clogged.

It was all thanks to the 'great reward' from Robert Knightman.

By granting him a hidden quest and an increase in favorability with the citizens of Yors was by no means a coincidence.

Everything must have been planned by Robert Knightman ever since he forced him to accept the hidden quest.

'I've been played like a fool all along.' Lei Zhen clicked his tongue, feeling annoyed by the situation.

While Lei Zhen was feeling annoyed, Tang Qiaolian suddenly received a call.

'Oh, Lingxin is calling me?' She thought to herself. Given that she didn't wish to reveal her relationship with Liu Lingxin yet to Lei Zhen, she gave a half-hearted excuse to leave the room.

Of course, Lei Zhen knew she was trying to hide something, but didn't pry further into it.

"Alright, I'll be back soon." Tang Qiaolian said and left the room hurriedly.

Afterward, she found a discreet place and accepted the call. "What's going on, Lingxin? Why did you have to video call me and not just send a message?"

"I'm calling you because we just discovered a new dungeon and the other guilds are already prepping for it. We'll need you to hurry back to Miracle Wing." Liu Lingxin said, relaying the news of a new dungeon appearing.

When a new dungeon appears, that opens up a door to new items and a reputation for guilds to do first clear achievement.

Unlike other games where first clear achievements are just a way to showcase a guild's prowess, there are a ton of benefits that come with first clearing a dungeon, including a favorability reward to the nearby cities.

"I understand." Tang Qiaolian nodded her head.

"Have all the other members gathered at the headquarters so we can discuss a strategy. Make sure to have the assassins gather some intel and see if there have been people that have attempted the dungeon." She added.

"I've already assigned people to spy. The other guilds are doing the same thing as well. The traffic here is getting bigger as we're speaking, so hurry back." Liu Lingxin urged and ended the video call.

After the call ended, Tang Qiaolian stood in her place for a few seconds with a dazed expression. She wanted to help Lei Zhen solve the problem first, but as the guild leader, she cannot afford to miss such an event.

"Sigh, it seems like this is as far as I go into helping Lei Zhen for now. Hopefully, he wouldn't get mad at me for ditching halfway." Tang Qiaolian took a deep breath as she prepared to return back.
