I see the ant take a step but disappearing even before that foot landed and seeing the map i saw that it was coming straight towards me, but i couldn't see it.

My hand trembled while having a smile plastered on my bloodied face, soon after, the flame paw descended and enveloped the ant, me and the surrounding five meters.

But only the ant got affected by it while i felt comfort: "KRIIIEEEEKKKKK" the ant screamed painfully giving me the time to place the crafting table on the closest intact block around me.

I immediately use the panel for speed crafting by just thinking what i want, and in a second a new steel sword appears on my hands, my heart is bleeding by consuming my last iron ingots.

'Your corpse will compensate me!'

I enveloped the sword in flames, compacting them as much as i could with my last essence reserves and slashed towards it's left arm.

But the ant reacted fast enough and moved the arm away but that wasn't my target, nahh, the throat was!

Seeing the antennas flare up and straighten, i suppose the ant understood my intentions, but it was too late since the flames of Muwi solidified into a big paw that grabbed the ant body leaving the raised left arm that got grabbed by the three tails.

While the sharp steel sword enveloped in flames reached the neck and cut dep into it.

"Fuck! It's hard as fuck!"

It feels like cutting a cucumber with a plastic dagger!

But remembering the cool anime Demon Slayer, with the control of my body i compress my hear to pump even more blood on my whole body causing blood to leak from my orifices, but I didn't care.

"GHAAAAAAAAAA" i screamed with all of my strength causing the flames to react to my will thus intensifying even more while veins appeared all over my body including my neck and face.

"KRIIIEEEEEEKKKKKKK" The ant struggled with even more force than before raising the difficulty for Muwi but with sheer willpower we pushed through our limits and i, using all of my energy and strength, managed to cut the ant head completely.

The the moment the head got cut the ant body continued to struggle by raw muscle memory until it lost strength and grew limp.

I stored the sword before i dropping it, while letting my body lose strength and fall.

Muwi dropped on the ground too but with only exhaustion different from me with my body losing blood all over the place.

"Damn, it was dangerous, huff, huff, w-we nearly died." I spoke with difficulty with a smile on my face.

"Yea.." Muwi says while taking out a fish meat.

I took out some apples and ate them since my hunger bar was nearly empty, the moment i ate to fullness, my heart percentage begins to raise again.

So my injuries began to heal thus giving me a break from the pain.

Even after regenerating our health to full, we still stayed like that for some time, remembering everything that just happened.

"Muwi, what was that." I ask with a serious face, this thing was dangerous, if i wasn't allert i would have died at the first attack of that ant.

"Do you remember when i said that if a monster stays alive for a long time he gets stronger until a threshold?"

"Yeah."

"Well, there are exceptions, that ant is an anomaly, it evolved from a normal ant instead of spawning, that's how bosses are born, they are anomalies." Muwi said.

"So if we didn't stop that monster from becoming stronger.." I don't finish my words as the implications of what could have happened was understood by my partner.

After resting for some time we were forced to get up and return to the cave Muwi mined, since the monsters weren't letting us rest.

After taking everything useful and chopping some trees where i also tested my strength by raising two trunks without difficulty, we decided to ran since i was impatient to reach a settlement as soon as possible and interact with people.
