MHA: Boku no Quirk is Random

"So, I was reborn in My Hero Academia's world?"

A black hair child of slim build muttered for himself, in front of the hospital bed where he was sitting on, the television was transmitting a breaking news.

"We are broadcasting live the police chase of a villain in Jaku City, I'm Suzuki Sakura, of the SBN channel." The reporter on television spoke to the microphone ignoring the strong wind in the helicopter.

"According to reports, the villain identified as "Bane" was trying to rob the city bank. He blocked the communication network in the area, but a worker with a telepathy quirk managed to communicate with people outside the building, resulting in this persecution."

"Until now, there're three people injured confirmed, and according to the testimony of the victims, the villain has two hostages in his vehicle, so the police can't use abrupt actions to catch the criminal. The villain's quirk type has not been identified, and…"

The reporter kept talking, but the boy's attention was diverted to the action scene.

This criminal lacked human features, his appearance was pretty similar to Dr. Curt Connors in the comics of Spider-man—the scientist that mutated into a lizard— only that this lizard was red instead of green, and he was not wearing a robe, but a black combat suit.

The reptilian was driving a black Hummer madly down the street, while five police cars were following him, the sirens were all on to hint at the seriousness of the matter.

But you could see that the criminal didn't care about the vehicles that were chasing him, the few moment when his head was sticking out the window was to look up the sky, where the real problem is.

Just above the streets in chaos, a person flying with a hang glider contemplated all the situation, she was wearing a blue superhero costume with green decorations, and in her feet and arms were devices that work like aircraft engines.

Same way with the hang glider, at both ends of the wing, the propellers spun at high speed to boost the heroine to fly after the chase scene.

"It's 'TenK.'! A hero has appeared to fight the villain!" The TV reporter showed great enthusiasm when the cameras captured the flying silhouette.

"Isn't that hang glider too small to bear the weight of a person?" The boy wondered... with no intention of offending the lady.

"Her quirk is 'Weight manipulation', it allows her to change the weight of all the objects that weigh less than 10 kilograms in a scale of 0 to 10 Kg once she touches them. Other than that, TenK can manipulate her own weight too."

A voice came from the boy's left side, because of the partition curtain, the boy hadn't realized that the neighboring bed was occupied by an old man between fifty and sixty years old.

Ignoring the surprising face of the boy, the old man kept talking.

"A normal person could not become a hero with such powerless quirk, but TenK was witty and decided to take advantage of support items, she uses her quirk to make her body weigh less than air, and equip hand-sized aircraft engines to be able to fly."

"The weigh of that hang glider is in the range of 10 kilograms too, so TenK can reduce its weight to fly faster."

The old man continued talking like a child showing off his favorite toy.

"And even if you don't believe it, TenK's hero suit is really aerodynamic!"

The kid looked at those curves that stands out from the costume.

"Yeah, sure it's aerodynamic…"

Soon, the heroine approached the criminal's car from the sky, getting ahead of the police.

Looking that TenK was getting closer and closer, the villain couldn't wait any longer.

He twisted his body to grab the steering wheel with his right hand, while the upper torso peeked completely out the window, his left arm pointed the flying woman.

"Shine! Kuso hero! (Die! Damn hero!)" The lizard screamed, and the scales on his arm shot toward the heroine like bullets, that was his quirk.

TenK clearly wasn't some kind of rookie, she used both of her legs to kick in the air at the right side, while she closed the hang glider in a blink. The air thruster in her boots allowed her to do a perfect spin, dodging the scale-bullets without any problem.

She threw the closed hang glider aside, which did not fall to the ground, but remain suspended in the air. That demonstrated that the current weight of that equipment was so light that it wasn't affected by gravity. And that was the proof of the high control that TenK had over her quirk too.

The villain kept shooting his scales with his best aim, but the heroine opened her second pair of wings after pulling the zipper on the sides of her hero suit, two pieces of cloth came to light transforming the complete hero costume into a wingsuit.

The speed increased drastically, and TenK was agile like fish in the water. The scale-bullets were no longer a menace for the heroin, because they were avoided with the least effort.

In matter of seconds, the heroine reached the vehicle. She flew alongside of the car at the left back corner, right in the blind point of the criminal.

'Bane' the villain rapidly shot the windows from inside as he accelerated the car, but by that moment, he lost track of where the heroine was.

When he saw the TenK again, it was from his rear-view. She was standing in the middle of the street.

Before he could ask why the heroine stopped chasing him, the car braked in jerk out of his wish.

"Crash!!! Pzzzzzz..." The tire exploded.

"What happened?"

The boy and the villain had the same question in their thoughts.

Seeing the boy lose his head, the old man laughed and then explained.

"When TenK reached the Hummer, the first thing she did was throw magnets to the car surface. Those magnets are really small, I guess she threw around a hundred or more, and by increasing their weight to 10 kg each, she managed to exceed the maximum load of the car, forcing it to stop!"

"Wow, that's smart."

"Right? TenK is a really brilliant hero, she trained to be prepared for any kind of situations! And even if the villain has nothing metallic, TenK has other kind of gadgets that works with ultra-strong glue that dries in seconds, incapacitating the villain from fighting using small objects with incredible weight."

While the man kept talking, in TV, the villain got out of the vehicle to fight the hero hand with hand.

The only way to deactivate the quirk of TenK was defeating her, the criminal perfectly knows that, but TenK was really cautious, she was dedicated to throwing objects from meters away, not allowing the villain approach her at any moment.

With such lightweight body, her speed was admirable even on land. In less than 30 seconds, the villain was unable to move a single finger due to the weight of the small objects that adhered to his clothing and skin.

Just as the old man predicted.

"Oh, she really defeated the villain …Wait, isn't the equipment a kind of secret between the disigner and the hero? Why you know so much? "

The boy looked at the old age man more attentively, he had no face of Izuku Midoriya, and probably he wasn't on age to be into hero fanatism.

Does he really admire a lady 30 years younger than him? Or is this a common thing in My Hero Academia's world?

"Because I'm her father! I saw how Aika-chan always worked so hard to pursue her dreams, and today, her efforts finally bear fruits. I'm so proud of her!" A crocodile tear shed over his cheek.

So, this man really became Wikipedia and Google combined, just to show off that he's a hero's father, damn, we live in a society...

The boy was speechless.
