Fanny didn't want to run away from his fears, but he also didn't want to be controlled by his power. The life where he couldn't think or imagine anything without permanently changing reality would be too horrifying.

After all, some things are better off kept within his head and would be troublesome if they become a reality. For example, what if he was thinking about women's clothes?!

The TV in the new home was constantly filled with the news broadcast about Tony Stark. It had been a week since he was attacked and went missing, and most people guessed that he was dead.

He briefly considered saving Tony Stark right now and taking credit for it. If he wanted to do it, it wouldn't be too hard to do with the help of 'Jack Sparrow's Compass.'

But there was no point in doing so. Without his intervention, Tony Stark would become Iron Man and become a hero of justice. Perhaps he was arrogant, arrogant, and self-righteous, but his heart was in the right place.

Fanny did not want to change this. There was nothing wrong with having more good people in the world. Moreover, he was already under Ancient One's strongest umbrella. There was no need to put Tony Stark under his debt.

Ignoring aerial combat and only considering close-quarter combat, Fanny clearly held the massive advantage. He had accumulated combat experience this past year, while Tony would have to rely on his currently-imperfect artificial intelligence.

Moreover, the thing holding him back from using the portal spell was his proficiency in guiding magical energy. He had been able to produce sparks from his training; it might not be long before he could actually open the portal.

With the full support of 'Demon Armor Incursio,' he should be able to open the portal soon. Then, he would have the means for aerial combat.

Fanny regained some confidence after assessing his own strength.

Skye came out of her room and found Fanny watching the news on TV attentively. He seemed to be perking up every time news about Tony Stark was brought up. "Do you really care that much about that guy?"

"Of course. After all, my wallet will depend on him in the future."

Fanny stood up and stretched himself. He had been paying attention to Tony Stark, worrying that his existence would cause some butterfly effect. But it seemed that there was nothing unusual, at least for now.

Skye pestered curiously, "What do you mean? Didn't they say that Tony Stark was attacked by terrorists and died?"

"How is that possible!"

The news host on the TV was listing Tony's deeds with a mourning expression. Fanny frowned and said, "That guy is very powerful. Right now, he is probably sweating and doing the most important thing with the most important man in his life!"

Yinsen had sacrificed his life to save Tony, so he should be the most important man in his life. The most important thing for them right now must be forging the Mark I armor, which would require them to forge hot iron and swelter in the heat.

Skye had a lot of question marks in her head.

Fanny didn't elaborate any of his words, ignoring Skye's doubtful eyes. He instead tidied his clothes and stood up. "I'll go back first. I might get a little busy for the next few days, so you should accompany our parents at home."

Fanny's two parents retired from the lawyer's office, as Fanny had advised. Because of that, they suddenly had an abundance of free time that they weren't used to.

He couldn't bring them to Kamar-Taj. It was the sacred training ground for mages, so ordinary people could not stay there for long. As for letting them train to be mages…

If magic was really that easy to learn, there would be mages all over the street.

The solution Fanny thought of was to let them go on a tour or something. They would probably be safer almost literally anywhere else on the planet other than New York.

After careful consideration, Fanny sent his parents on a long vacation to London and Hong Kong. There were Sanctum in those cities, so he could immediately rush over if something happened.

Fanny's top priority right now was to learn the portal spell and proceed with the fourth extraction as soon as possible. Without the 'Demon Armor Incursio' that he got from the third extraction, his progress wouldn't be nearly as fast.

Days went by, and more than two months passed in the blink of an eye. The news about Tony Stark gradually calmed down. Almost everyone thought he was dead, and the only thing left was finding the body and officially announcing it.

Almost everyone, that is, except three people: Obadiah, who hired the terrorist and was blackmailed by them, Tony Stark's good friend from the military, and perhaps a certain one-eyed director.

Kamar-Taj training ground, nighttime.

Fanny was practicing alone, with a sling ring at hand and wearing 'Demon Armor Incursio.' Sparks of energy flickered in the darkness.

"The portal!"

Fanny commanded in a deep voice, concentrating from within the armor. A fiery portal finally opened in front of him, with his New York apartment visible on the other side.

Fanny rushed through the portal, looking around excitedly at the familiar furniture. He finally succeeded.

He finally learned the spell he dreamt of so much, after a year of training and with the double boost of 'Ars Magna' and 'Demon Armor Incursio.' The scope and duration of the portal were severely limited, but he succeeded nonetheless.

Next, Fanny turned his sight to the spell to conjure the Mirror Dimension. As long as he could achieve these two spells, he would have no regret going through the Mystic Arts training.
