Angel from above

Howard rode through the empty streets making his way to the bar. The wind hitting his face, Howard breathed a sigh of relief feeling all the exhaustion go away. Turning right at the next crossing he reached the bar as one of the men dressed in suit and trench coat came over to him.

"My, you really are a genius." The man said as he admired the bike, "I heard about your talent with airplanes but I didn't expect you to build something like this yourself. How fast does it go?"

"Not fast enough." Howard said shaking his head, "I have yet to test the accurate speed, after all, I just built the thing and wanted to take it out for a test ride. And I still have to work on the cooling, the engines getting overheated too soon. Maybe I'll add a proper speedometer to it as well."

"You plan on releasing this for the military?"

"Not yet." Howard said as he parked the bike and got off of it, "Let's get to business Roman, Have you got the things I've been asking you about?"

"Yes, but I don't think they will be willing to sell it so easily." Roman exclaimed handing Howard a file, "They are already close guarded and I had to pay a lot of money to just get this information."

Howard nodded as he opened the letter, which showed the detailed location of Wakanda and everything related to it.

Howard wasn't a born genius like Tony Stark nor did he have resources to use, from which he could grow stronger. Knowing what was to come in the future he wanted to increase his strength, and not be just arrogant because of his X-genes which gave him immortality. There were various ways to get stronger in this world but only a few were applicable. For example, the super-soldier serum would surely be helpful to him but it wouldn't make much of a difference anyway as he already had near human peak physique.

So currently his focus was technology, the power similar to Iron man which was the best and the easiest way for him to get stronger quickly and safely. Obviously, he couldn't just design an Iron man suit on a whim so for now he was researching and studying everything he could. He was sure that slowly but surely he would be near the same level as the future Tony with all his life experiences.

Currently, he wanted to get his hands on some stronger metals to create a weapon. In the Marvel universe, there were only a handful of metals that allowed him to create a good fitting weapon and suit. His first metal of choice was Adamantium at first considering its indestructible property but till now it was yet to be created so he moved on to Vibranium. Vibranium was really a rare-metal with different energy manipulating properties and he had to do a lot of research before even creating a weapon with it. From what he knew there were several types of Vibranium that eluded different properties.

1) Wakandan Vibranium

2) Antarctic Vibranium

3) Living Vibranium

4) Reverbium (Artificially made)

And even among these types, there are still a few that are unknown. So Howard went for the easiest one for now that could benefit him the most, Wakandan Vibranium. Getting this metal was hard and expensive enough but without forming a relation with Wakanda it was impossible to get hands on it.

So Howard's plan was to first form a relation with Wakanda, then get some Vibranium and maybe insiders into some of their technology. It was all easier said than done but he had all the time in the world so there wasn't a need to hurry and things could be done step by step.

"Good job." Howard nodded, "Your payment will be sent to you like usual."

"Well, I am happy to please." Roman smiled, "So I've heard about you."

"Heard what?" Howard shook his head keeping the letter in his pocket.

"The man who stole so many woman's hearts is now completely single." Roman laughed, "I didn't think that one girl would have such an impact on you. Marie was it? The whole city is talking about the girl and you."

"She doesn't." Howard said lazily, "I am just bored with relationships for now. Do the same thing as long as I've and you'll realize all these things don't really matter."

"Well, who asked you to be immortal?"

"Me being immortal is the only reason you're alive if I remember." Howard sneered, "If I didn't save you twenty years ago, you'd have died before you even reached puberty."

"But you recognized my talent for stealing and gathering intel, that's why you saved me didn't you?" Roman said with pride, "I still remember the day very clearly when you saved me from those mafias. You looked exactly like the same as you did before, it still fascinates me seeing you not age."

"Stop with your idolization, it's quite creepy." Howard made a disgusted expression, "I still prefer a woman you know."

"Hahahaha, is that so?" Roman chuckled, "So listening to your tone I am guessing you need someone interesting, don't you? Do you want me to introduce you to some foreign girls?"

"I guess." Howard said, "You know someone exciting enough, like a rival who is out to murder me. Maybe that's my problem, I shouldn't be that picky, for now just a simple woman who won't die would be enough for me, I guess."

"That's quite a criteria to have." Roman shook his head, "I guess the only thing that will satisfy you is an angel from above. Maybe you should start praying."

"Dear God, please listen to me." Howard jokingly said as he raised his hands forward, "Please throw me an angel to love. She has to be beautiful and maybe a bit of personality wouldn't hurt."

As he was kidding around suddenly the window from the upper floor of the bar broke and through it came a woman crashing directly into his arms. Howard with his lips twitching looked at the beautiful woman in his arms who glared at him with the bluest eyes he had ever seen, "Miss Angel?"
