Chapter 1If this is my bed, then let me lie in it

"Kovacs! Hand over the Winter Solstice Salamander, and we can guarantee that you can leave here with your life! The members of the Nine Seas Theology won't bother your, or your Bone Shadow Sect ever again!".

"Bone Shadow Immortal! If you even think about handing over the Winter Solstice Salamander to anyone other than the Doctrine Of The Mother, then you can say goodbye to the thought of ever leaving this place alive!".

"Arthur, if you come back to the Luminous Church, we can guarantee the safety of you, and your descendents! All crimes against the Church will be forgiven, and your status as the thirteenth supreme elder will be reinstated. Just hand over the Winter Solstice Salamander, all all will be forgiven!".

"Hmph, if Arthur Kovacs of all people think they he will be able to leave here today after what he tried to pull at our Cult Of The Sun Headquarters on Rising Sun Plateau, then you all are sorely mistaken.....".

. . . . .

Kovacs, stood silently, his back facing a bottomless abyss.

His clothes torn and bloodied, yet still waving gently against the ocean breeze.

Despite the hundreds, if not thousands of men and women hovering in the sky above, the pale faced gentlemen still smiled, gently caressing the small creature in his arms.

He had spent the last several hundred years waiting, practicing patiently in order to cultivate the small, blue-spotted white salamander laying silently in his embrace.

Countless resources, from all over the thirty-three heavens.

Hundreds of years of practice and patience. Every moment of every day was spent researching, and refining the materials and recipe used to form the small lizard in his arms.

He had called in numerous favours, from old friends, and even some enemies in exchange for the resources to cultivate this Fae.

And now....

He smiled.

His teeth white and pristine despite the crimson colour soaking his clothes, spilling out onto the earth beneath him.

From what one could see, shadows and bone started forming wherever his blood dripped down, evidence of his attainment, and strength with his respective paths.

His inky black hair scorched and dyed the same colour, making his young appearance ghastly, with numerous burns and scars covering his body and face.

"..... To bring so many people to my death, perhaps I should be happy that I will be remembered....".

This gathering of cultivators was indeed impressive.

Members of dozens of different Clans and Sects, coming from every single one of the thirty-three heavens. This gathering of men and women, whose strength and collective power was enough to topple even someone such as him..... truly, it was as if the World itself was forcing Kovacs' death.

Patting the small salamanders head, Kovacs smiled as it crawled up his arm, resting its body around his neck, and its head on his shoulder.

Fae were created from the Heavens and the Earth, yet, some Fae were powerful enough to possess an intelligence the same level as a humans.

That meant they could experience the same feelings as humans.

Pain.... Regret.... Rage.... even Hatred....

Kovacs had spent an enormous amount of time with the Winter Solstice Salamander. From the moment it was born, to the moment it became an Immortal Fae.

The relationship between the two were as close as parent and child. In fact, now that he mentioned it, Kovacs probably did spend more time with this particular Fae, than any of his children.... or grandchildren....

He let out a self-depreciating smile.

".... What a horrible father I am....".

Glancing up at the starry night sky, Kovacs smiled as he gazed up towards the cultivators hovering above him. All of their expressions, painted in arrogance and pride. Not a single one of them thought that what they were doing was wrong, and every single one, believed they were justified in what they were doing.

"If this is my bed....".

The Winter Solstice Salamander turned into a searing bright ball of pale-blue moonlight and entered Arthur Kovacs' body.

Pale-blue tattoos formed all over his body, slowly creeping their way into the depths of Kovacs' Mind and Soul.

They transformed the entirety of his being, morphing it, transmuting it, into something more than human. Something more than Fae.

The expressions on all the faces of the cultivators hovering above him turned ashen, and their faces showed extreme regret.

"Then let me lie in it".

"Shit! He's trying to-".

But it was too late.

The entirety of Fallen River Valley, was completely engulfed by an endless stream of pale-blue moonlight. Some cultivators managed to activate their defensive Fae in time before the explosion hit, but found themselves staring angrily, at the enormous, gaping hole in the ground where Kovacs once stood.

Despite having an overwhelming advantage in both numbers and combat strength, they never anticipated something as ridiculous as this.....

. . . . .

The moonlight dripped down like dew, reflecting the rays of the golden sun.

The vast mountains seemed to reach the heavens as the vast, formless beams of sunlight crept over the mountaintop. Huge, stretches of forests grew unbridled by man or beast. Giving birth to countless birds and insects who called this stretch of land home.

The mountain itself was prone to two things in particular. One was rain, and the other was-.

"It's time for the awakening ceremony again this year!".

"It almost seems like it was just yesterday when we were undergoing the ceremony".

"I know. If I only awakened a better talent, and a more powerful Fae, perhaps I wouldn't be stuck as a stupid patrolman with you as my partner!".

"Hey!".

Several villages called Winter Rain Mountain home. The gathering of constant rain and cloud allowed for the perpetual growth and development of rivers and forests in the area. With a seemingly endless supply of wood and water, many families called this place home, and many Clans set up their foundations on this Mountain, allowing their roots to burrow as deep as the trees and flowers have.

The environment was perfect for the formations and growth of certain Fae.

Many Water Attributed Fae and Wood Attributed Fae call this place home as well. Every Clan has their own speciality, but some mortal families, whose members occasionally have the talent to become a cultivator, own some Fae that have formed in the wild.

All Fae are formed from the essence of the Heaven and the Earth, and are given a Mystery by the Truth.

Those that can allow the essence of the Heaven and Earth into their bodies, and practice the Mysteries that the Fae contain are called; Fae Masters!

Fae Masters nurture Fae. They refine Fae and allow them to become stronger. Understand their Mysteries and comprehend a greater Truth about the World, and their own place in it.

Becoming a Fae Master is akin to become a researcher. Researching the essence of the Heaven and Earth, and the hidden Mysteries about Fae, and their complimentary relationship with Humans and the other Races.

Whenever one awakens their talents as a Fae Master, the sudden influx of essence of the Heaven and Earth into the body something akin to a chemical reaction. The dormant origin essence, mixes with the essence of the Heaven and Earth, forming a Fae.

This is the only known way that a human can create a Fae. The Mystery as to why this occurs, is one of the Thirteen Great Fae Mysteries of the World.

The Fae that is created from this reaction is considered both an expression of talent, in addition to the direction where a Fae Masters talents lie.

Of course, something like this, will always have exceptions....

"..... the lack of origin essence..... the soft, soothing sounds of rain.... the warmth of the sun, tipping over the horizon.... I can't believe it, I've actually returned to Winter Rain Mountain....".

The scent of rain filled Kovacs lungs.

"How long has it been.... since I've last stepped foot in this place....", he wondered.

"How many hundreds of years has it been.... since I last saw my "parents".....", he pondered.

Sitting down on the windowsill, Kovacs showed a nostalgic expression as he gazed out towards the rest of the village.

Ever since he ran away, and abandoned Winter Rain Mountain, he had never once come back, in all of his thousand year lifespan.

His parents would've long since passed away, his brothers and sisters would have left children, and their children's children would've long since died.

Kovacs never once regretted leaving Parachenko Village, not a single time in his entire thousand years worth of life. However..... now that he had returned, now that he had come back.... everything suddenly came flooding back.

He sat soundlessly, enjoying the warm sun brush over his entire body.

He himself had descendents, and his brothers and sisters would've have descendents too. There was no chance of them ever meeting, yet, in another time.... another life.... perhaps things would be different.

Perhaps this time would be?

He smiled and closed his eyes.

Opening them as he gazed down at the village below.

"Not a chance in hell".

Dual cultivation isn't a choice; it's a necessity. However, they didn't always exist. Demons terrorized the world ever since the Gehenna Realm descended over 300 years ago. but along with them, came mana, giving birth to witches to combat these demons. Since then, the world of men was dominated by witches, establishing the seven witch kingdoms, which safeguards at the forefront of the demon invasion. In order to survive in the matriarchal society of the witch kingdoms, Vaan, like all other men who cannot use magic, had to learn how to service the witches to survive. Nevertheless, it did not come without its own benefits. Years of research have led the world to the discovery of intimacy between men and women could increase the witches' mana absorption. But at the same time, men could absorb some of this mana to improve their physique and lifespan. Thus, since then, an intricate relationship was formed between men and witches in the red-light districts. Love became casual, and dual cultivation is common. As a prodigy in the art of pleasing women, Vaan lived a smooth two years since his transmigration as an orphan. However, everything came crashing down in a heartbeat one day when his life was nearly taken, and Lady Eniwse whom he served went berserk. Even so, that was not the end. With the awakening of the Witch Hunter System, watch how Vaan takes on the world and becomes the lord of witches. ===== Genre: [Mature Content] [R-18] [Smut] [Magic] [Witches] [Demons] [Spirits] [Dragons] [Beasts] [Reincarnation] [Adventure] [Action] [Mystery] [Academy] [Weak-to-Strong] [Scheming MC] [Harem] [System] [Servants] [Slaves] [Smart MC] [Alchemy] [Forging] [Misunderstandings] [Game Elements] [Kingdom-Building] [Overpowered MC] ===== Note: Contains lemons. A great and lovable novel that copied off of Reverend insanity but nonetheless great. The plots that author make up by himself for example: (The two rank one that tried stealing Arthur's fae, seducing a female, acting emotional towards family) were all incorporated perfectly and hyped me up. Despite being a RI copy this novel's volume one so far has definitely exceeded how much I enjoyed RI's volume one. Now let's talk about the characters and authors grammar and coherence. Characters: One of the best aspect of this novel I found to be were it's depth of personality in each character. Even a bottom feeder lives for himself and more often than not has a clear goal ahead of him. The arrogant ones such as Randolf who likes to prey and bully others knows when and who to respect. The females don't fall high over heels for him but gradually comes to like him(if he wills it). Did I talk about the awesomeness of each characters? probably but let me go more in depth, The father of Arthur, the clan leader although likes and loves his son he still at the end of the day always puts his clan above everything just like a proper clan leader should. His mother plays the perfect role of a caring and nagging mother. His brother, although loves Arthur but he at the same time doesn't let him love take over his emotions and actually becomes suspicious (kind of) of Arthur when he began to display a cold demeanor. That is something many authors fails to comprehend, they cannot possibly visualize the possibility that their family isn't just balls of love that can only incessantly love him but a human too. No matter how close a human will still be suspicious if someone suddenly changes his whole personality even if given a reason. Anyways enough talking about character now let me move on to authors writing ability. Grammar and coherence of author: There's nothing much to say about this except this is pretty much the most ideal grammar you can expect from webnovel. The fluency and understandablity of this novel is great while it doesn't use fancy words like in Alien evolution system it still does do it's work(which is proper English).

Hi everyone! It's the Author Bruhdamante here, and considering that I have just finished the first volume of Madness Apostle I thought that it would be prudent to write a review after a total of 117 chapters. This will be kinda long, so if you don't like reviews like this, I would suggest that you either skim through it or just skip to the end, I can't really force anyone to read this, or my novel. But first I'd like to thank all the readers who have read and liked and commented and reviewed my novel! It does only take up to a few seconds to write a sentence or two but I read everything that you guys post and try to take the positives with the negatives! At any rate, I'd like to given an evaluation to my work so far so to at least give a point of view, no matter how biased it is to potential readers in the event that they do see my comment and read it. For those of you who have read, Reverend Insanity, Madness Apostle will possess some familiar characteristics (all the good ones I hope). It is not some sign-in/overpowered protagonist/system novel which litters the current Webnovel and is something that I am proud of writing. The world building, the main character and the presentation of the lore will be similar to Reverend Insanity, although the contents will be completely different. The main thing I found about Reverend Insanity is that while the author managed to describe and create a whole array of characters that weave in and out through the entire story, he does so in a way that doesn't recycle old content. That is what I hope to achieve in my own. The morality, philosophies or world views of my characters are completely up for debate and I encourage active thought into why someone would choose to live like this, or in this particular manner. Despite some of my mistakes in grammar or punctuation, I really hope to push a novel towards my audience that is different from all of the repetitive stuff all over Webnovel right now (and for those people who think that this is just a repeat of Reverend Insanity, you are all more than welcome to read through this and then give me your opinion) At any rate, I hope that you all enjoy, tell your friends and have a good time. I look forward to all the comments you guys will post in the near, or distant future!

(I'm only making two comparisons to RL since their honestly the only things that I deem similar between the two works) Madness Apostal caters to the small number of readers who are interested in stories revolving around real Villains, someone who's goals and interests take precedence over familial bonds, morality and just about every 'normal' human relationship. The world and power system are intricate and expansive, I actually doubt the Author will have the opportunity to explore every nuance and attribute introduced in the series in-depth but the job he's done so far could probably fuel quite a few fan-fictions if that's any 'real' indication of how interesting and large the world gets later down the line but in my honest opinion I find it much easier to understand and interesting than the power system of Reverend Insanity since comparisons will be made. Arthur Kovacs is compared constantly to Fang Yuan of Reverend Insanity and from first viewing it's simple to see why. Their both ruthless individuals who only have their personal benefits in mind when taking action, their both unperturbed by the required blood and gore needed to accomplish a task, and they both have lived lives completely beyond the comprehension of anyone they interact with. Giving them a baring and personal quality that can't quite be captured in a single explanation. Unfortunately quite a few people stop their comparisons there and ignore the fact that Arthur has lived longer than Fang Yuan. This in itself isn't that big of a detail but it separates the two by an invariable film, Arthur is more direct in his actions as opposed to Fang Yuan's cunning, he despises those who have potential yet waste it, while Fang Yuan simply doesn't believe that innate potential is the be all end all of a person's existence. They both refuse to give up as long as their hearts still beat and their synapses continue to fire, but gamble with their lives if they believe the rewards are worthy. Both very compelling people, but Arthur at his core is inquisitive, daring and confident while relatively Fang Yuan is greedy, careful and prefers to keep everything about himself close to his chest. This comes down to the fundamental principles that govern their worlds and cultures along with their personal experiences, Arthur growing into a Demon having suffered loss after loss and realizing he's but a frog in a well obsessed with understanding the greatest powers in the world while Fang Yuan has always been weak and unable to fulfil most of his goals but remained an individual dedicated to his personal betterment, he too becoming obsessed, yet with the notion of his existence becoming eternal. Gu Master's can basically accomplish anything with the correct resources, luck and attainment level while Fae Master's must hone their respective fields and understanding of the world and themselves to best execute their true abilities(their comprehensions only adding another layer to their arsenal instead of being the foundation that blooms into their overall combat strength). Other characters are compelling in their own right. The Kovacs clan is comprised of tens of individuals with their own aspirations, schemes and personal baggage that allows us as readers to really delve into the minds of these individuals who must fight and train themselves near constantly to be relevant in a strange complex world that constantly changes and becomes more dangerous to them day by day. Personal stagnation is a death sentence in this world and the Author isn't afraid to show that. Visually I'd say the scenes and characters are depicted decently, with enough descriptions to paint a wildly colorful and exquisite world. Characters are also depicted quite well with just enough attention given to detail to make them discernable even with the time between releases. The politics, rationing of resources, psychology and rationalizations of characters are explained flawlessly. Everything working in tandem to give this world a true beating heart to enrapture any reader looking for something interesting and unqiue, what with all the regurgitate sub-par works overflowing on the app. If you've come across this novel and are unsure if it's for you I highly suggest reading the first 40 or so chapters before making a definitive decision(not many can stomach what happens beyond).
