Chapter 5 Rebirth

"Push..."

A female voice startled Henry, causing him to open his eyes, he tried but he couldn't, Henry couldn't move any part of his body as he felt something heavy surrounding him.

Henry knew what he was hearing wasn't the usual English language he knew but for some reason, he could clearly understand the language.

'Where am I?' Henry mumbled still unable to open his eyes.

"Push...I see the head...just a little more" the voice kept speaking.

"Uarrrrrrrghhhhh!!!" A muffled scream sounded, making Henry startled and confused.

Henry felt his body being pulled, he didn't have control over his actions and he was surprised because he thought he was dead, he remembered being shot by a Mafia, but at least he killed both of them before dying.

The pained screams continued as he felt his body moving, the entire area that surrounded Henry was a tight, warm spot, he felt squishy liquid around him making him ponder what he was experiencing.

Henry knew he was dead, there was no way he survived with that gunshot wound, or what if he did?

"Aaaaaarrrghhh!!!"

Another powerful scream propelled Henry further till he felt a large arm grabbing him.

"He's here... It's a boy" the voice spoke and Henry felt a large arm around him.

"A-ah!" Henry winced due to the intense bright surroundings, it was like this was his first time seeing a light.

Henry wanted to open his eyes but the surroundings were so bright that it hurt his eyes, he wanted to know what was going on because he was confused, what were they pushing, and why there was a giant arm around him.

Henry felt pain in his stomach and subconsciously he began to cry loudly.

'What is happening...I don't understand, first I can't open my eyes, and I kept crying for no good reason, I feel like I'm a baby' Henry said inwardly.

"Can I hold him" Henry heard a warm voice, the voice of his mother, his late mother.

"Mother... mother" Henry began to sob immediately and a hand held him.

Henry opened his eyes for the first time and his eyes fell upon a beautiful woman. She looked exactly like his late mother but there were few differences.

"My boy" the woman cried as she held Henry in her arms. For some reason, Henry felt really relieved as she held onto him and his crying stopped.

"Congratulations, it's a baby boy."

Henry glanced by his side and he saw another woman clad in white clothing staring at both of them with a smile. Henry couldn't believe what was going on, the last thing he remembered was he was killed by a Mafia and now he was sure he was a baby.

"My eyes are so heavy it's hard to keep them open, I'm weak and hungry and..." Henry mumbled inwardly as sleep kicked in.

"It's a baby boy!! A baby boy" Henry heard loud shouting outside of the room before he fell asleep.

1st Person POV

A week quickly passed by and I did nothing but sleep, lay down and eat, my mother carried me any chance she got and for some reason, I hadn't seen any man that would likely be my dad so maybe he was away on some trip.

My little brain could only collect little information but I'm certain about some things, I was killed by those mafias and was somehow reincarnated in a magical world, I had seen my mum casting spells a few times so I'm certain.

With that aside, there are a few things strange about this world, First, it seems like part of my memory is missing, I don't know if being a baby had something to do with it, secondly it's been a week since I was born and I haven't seen a single male, I thought it was a tradition of some sort, but I haven't even seen my dad.

We live in a mansion so I'm sure my family is loaded, and again all our staff, cook, and guards are all females, not that I'm complaining but it's just surprising, who hires girls as security, if the females are responsible for security then what does the males do.

'Oh, my mum is here, and it's my favorite time of the day, breastfeeding Yay'

Three months had passed by in the blink of an eye and I had learned more about this world, apparently, my father is the head of the military and we are currently in a kingdom called Avalon, which is one of the five great nations, that's why he hasn't been home for three months.

In this world, there are dungeons, beasts, elves, and dwarfs, including everything I normally see in a light novel, I can't wait to get older, everything I know is from a maid who reads me stories, I think her name is Anna, and she's five or six years old.

Back to the present, I'm currently in my mum's hand in front of the building. Some of the staffs and guards were also gathered there, I wonder what the occasion was, and this was my first time seeing the house I was staying in from outside, and there was only one word for it, huge.

"Here he comes, are you ready to meet your dad?" My mum spoke.

'Huh wait what... meet my dad, so that's why we are all gathered here, finally I'm going to see my dad, I hope he's handsome'

Three carriages were now in sight moving towards the gates. The gates were already opened and all three carriages entered the compound, the carriage in the middle was more decorated than the rest so I knew my dad would be in there, for some reason I'm really anxious to see him.

The carriage door opened and a man stepped out, at that moment all my dreams and hopes were shattered, a short bald man stepped out of the carriage, he was dressed in military uniform and had a sword with him.

'How did my mother marry a man like that, I hope I turn out like my mum, there's no way I want to be like him'
