Lovers in time

As light is seen in the distance than growing closer Ruby sitting next to her favorite blond knight and lays her head on his shoulders as he laid his head on hers

"So this is it" said Jaune arc holding on to his wife as this will be the last time they do

And Ruby also held on to him as they reminisce on when they first met at Beacon, to when they shared their first kiss, when Jaune proposed, their wedding, their friends that they met along the way and soon had to say goodbye and does those closest to them had died during the final fight of Salem but they failed, they failed in saving them but yet they both survived but not unscathed Jaune lost a leg and his right eye

For Ruby she lost her left arm and left eye only able hug with her right arm

"Jaune" as Ruby called out to him her voice trembling as tears were threatening to fall

Jaune knowing what she was thinking and said it before she could

"Yeah Ruby me too, I wanted to raise a family to maybe even have small arguments on which valve characters are the best, to get tired at taking care our kids" as Jaune kept on speaking his voice was starting break the more he kept talking about the future he wanted with her and she finished his sentence for him

"Jaune I... I want ...I wanted to grow old with you! But why can't we have something like that, why is it that the world is against us every time we try to be happy!" Ruby cried not seeing the fairness that they have to constantly suffer and that there's no end in sight of that ending any time soon as Ruby starts to think of all the bad things that happened again beginning to fall into a downward spiral but was stopped when Jaune put a hand on her cheek

As he smiled sadly while looking at her

"We may have gone through literal hell and we may have tripped from time to time but we picked ourselves back up and dusted ourselves off sure some of us took longer then others but still I found out about myself that I didn't even know was there but I'm glad that some of those things Happened sure there are hundreds of things I would like to change there's something that I found most important to me, want to know what that is Ruby" he said as he looks at Ruby with his one good eye into hers seeing the question lingering within them

"It was you and our friends, everyone we met throughout this journey it showed me that everything is worth fighting for even if i'm supposed to redo it again I'll Keep fighting for it no matter what happens cause i love everything we fought for cause it has you in it Ruby " he said with small shine in his eyes saying that he means what he said as she starts to cry on his shoulder

"I love you so much Jaune you mean everything to me" she said within her tears trying to stop but failing to do so

As Jaune flinched in pain but held her close" I love you too Ruby" he said to her

 as she lightly pushed off of him her eye was red and puffy showing she cried and they looked into each other's eyes they leaned into each other.

As their lips touch a warm feeling filled them by the passionate kiss as light engulfed them hoping to see each other on the other side with their friends and family waiting

And everything else goes white

As eyes flickers open As it shows a beautiful blue sky instead of the blood red she was used to as a calming breeze past her by her but all of that was ruined when Ruby heard shrieking

"See this is what I told you, you Dolt you have to be careful when handling dust you have to- are you even listening to me!!" Said the familiar voice that she can never forget as she starts to tear up As Weiss looked at her and flinched at the sad look the girl had on her face

She was about to say something but then she heard a voice that made her heart go to her throat

"Hey leave her alone she said she was sorry already what more do you want from her" as they turn around and see Jaune as he looked different but he looks cute

As he looks at Weiss glaring at her as she flinched ones more at the glare she was receiving from the boy

But quickly corrected herself and regained her composure

"Well this Dolt wasn't paying attention and blew us up with dust" ranted Weiss

"What?" Was the only thing that came out of Ruby's mouth as cute Jaune just sighed and pointed at something as we looked in Weiss's hand was a faulty flask of dust as she looks at it then at Jaune

"You say she needs to learn dust safety but you were the one to shake the open flask of dust" he said as he raised a brow at her and Weiss goes red as a tomato in embarrassment of being called out as she looks away from Ruby and said a quiet sorry which she could barely hear as she stomped away in embarrassment

As both Ruby and Jaune looked into each other's eyes Jaune just put up his hand waving at her awkwardly

"Hey" he said with an awkward smile

"Hey yourself" she said with an awkward smile matching his

as they smile just by looking at each other at seeing the other but all this feels weird cause everything else feels so real it's just odd it almost feels like a second chance was granted to them

But that isn't possible....right?
