Love Will Lead You Back

It was a nice spring day in March when Li Ji An and her family arrived in China, she was only 8 years old, her brother, Li Mai Ke was 11 and Madam Li Meiling was their overprotective mother. Their parents had separated back in England that's why they went back to live in China while their dad, Li Jiefu stayed in England after the divorce, he wouldn't be able to live in Beijing close to where his ex-wife is knowing that she was still after her great love.

Li Ji An got out of the car and started to flex her arms and legs, they had a long journey and her body was a bit knackered. "What a nice day, pity I don't know anyone in this place." she pouted and felt a little sad, "It would be nice to make new friends." she sighed. "But I must get some rest first. I really need it." stretching one more time.

Li Meiling told both of them to get in first and have some rest and that they will have dinner later after they settled everything. She added that they don't need to find friends just yet and just to stay at home for now. To them, it felt like their mother had scolded them.

Her parents sold their big house in London after their divorce, but her mum got a nice house in Beijing from it, though it's not as big and luxurious as their previous house but Li Ji An and Li Maike are okay with it, they are not really fussy with things like that, it doesn't bother them as long they have roof under their head. Their mum doesn't have a job and she won't be getting one either as her ex-husband pampered her so much, all she knew was to make sure that their kids were being looked after by her, he did everything for her, too bad for him, her heart only belongs to one man and that man was not him. Before she can figure things out for their future financial problem, they will be living off of the money they got from their previous house, after all, she did get a lot of money from her ex-husband.

Gu Cheng Ze POV

He walked to the window and looked outside, "It's a very nice day today, huh'. I heard someone is moving in next door." As always, he has a bright smile on his face that brightens up girls faces. Nobody had occupied that house for months, finally, they will have a new neighbour.

His mother followed him to the window and looked outside as well, "We must give them a warm welcome, they have been living in England but they will be staying here from now on, I think." Mrs Gu Ming An conveyed as she prepared some snacks for them. Her voice was always gentle and soft, she never once shouted at her son or to anyone, she was that kind of person.

Later on, there was a big truck parked outside. He watched the people unload the stuff from the truck and he saw a black car parked just across him, and there, he saw her came out of the car. The first words that came out from his mouth were, "Woah she looks so pretty. Is she the one moving in next to our house? Her eyes, her lips her everything looks perfect in my eyes. I wonder what her name is, I must find out." He was completely mesmerized and couldn't take his eyes off of her. "I think I have fallen for her. I think this is what they call love at first sight." he couldn't help it, the smile on his face just won't go away. Too bad, she didn't notice him.

Li Ji An woke up early the next day, their mother prepared their breakfast for them though she was not used on doing housework, especially cooking food as they have a cook before and her ex-husband done everything for her so she lived quite comfortably. Such a shame that it all ended mainly her fault. Since Ji An and Mai Ke grew up in England, they eat Western and Asian food but they are not a picky eater, they eat what is served to them.

After breakfast, Ji An decided to have a little walk outside to know and become familiar with the area also meeting people and hopefully getting new friends. Her mother told her not to take long and get back quickly as they will go to her new school for enrolment in which she agreed.

As Ji An was walking not far from their house, a boy bumped into her, he was tall, nearly as tall as her brother. "Sorry... I wasn't looking, I'm really sorry." he apologised not knowing who it was he bumped into.

Her soft and sweet voice assured him that she was fine and not hurt before she gave him a big smile, that smile nearly melted his heart, once more he had fallen for her, her cute smile bewitched him and made him smile back at her, he then introduced himself to her, after all, it's an opportunity for him to finally meet her.

She introduced herself to him and expanded her hand, he accepted it happily and shook her hand gently. "Do you want me to show you around?" Cheng Ze offered also to spend some time with her and know her more. Ji An didn't decline, and of they went.

They chatted with random stuff as they walked and he showed her the neighbourhood until it's time for Ji An to go home, he walked her back and said their goodbyes.

Ji An mentioned her newfound friend Gu Cheng Ze to her brother Maike, he seemed to be interested in knowing him.

Gu Cheng Ze POV

When he accidentally bumped to Ji An, he thought it was his lucky day. He finally knew her name and thought that she has a pretty name that matched her beautiful face and voice. He couldn't find any flaw in her. To him, she was the epitome of perfection.

He was so happy that he got to walk, talk and laugh with her, though it was only for a short time, to him, it felt like he spent the entire day with her. "When can I spend another day like this with Li Ji An? I think being friends with her brother is such a nice idea, she won't be shy around me and I will get to see her often. I want to walk with her every day, even just for five minutes as long as I can see her and be with her to see her smile. I think I'm totally in love with her!" His smile never left his handsome face, wanting to see her again.
