A Grim Situation (Part 2)

--- Glimmertree Sanctuary

The treant with the rainbow-colored leaf was in a really pitiful state right now. Most of its leaves were gone, mostly because of getting burnt. Its branches were frozen, some of the parts of its body were burnt, and it looks like it was about to die any minute now.

The gray-skinned demon kicked it before saying, "Just tell me where the Fatelord of Nature is hiding and I will stop." The demon even smiled at the dying treant.

"DREAM ON!"

The treant shouted with a pained and harsh voice.

"So be it." The gray-skinned demon frowned and used an unknown skill on the treant. The moment he used it, the treant's body slowly turned black and disintegrated into dust.

"What a pity... but what the hell is Riku doing? It has been a while since I let him chase that human..." The gray-skinned demon said to himself before leaving the cave.

...

--- A distance away from Glimmertree Sanctuary

~Roar!!!

~Hiss...

The gigantic black python and the four dragons fought intensely. The dragons kept spewing fire everywhere, flying everywhere, and the Dragon King swooped down on the gigantic black python once in a while to deliver a staggering charge.

"They must have fled now. Let us retreat us well." Ori told his fellow dragons who were still fighting the gigantic black python.

"Why? If we keep this up we can kill it!" A red scaled dragon said confidently.

"Idiot! Open your eyes! Even though we unleashed those attacks of ours, that monster did not even bleed once!" Lydia shouted at the red scaled dragon.

"I agree with Ori and Lydia, we should..." A bronze-scaled dragon said before he suddenly got attacked. A weird black-colored flame suddenly dropped above him and crippled his wings. He fell to the ground, helpless.

"Markus!" Ori shouted as he saw this. Then suddenly, the black flame burning the back of the bronze-scaled dragon transformed into a demon. The gray-skinned demon.

"Riku. Did these lizards bully you? You poor boy..." The gray-skinned demon said as he kept kicking down on the back of the bronze-scaled dragon. His kicks were so strong that the scales of the bronze dragon shattered and blood spewed out from his back.

"Hurry...up...and...leave..." The bronze scaled dragon tried his best to say this words to his fellow dragons who was still flying up high in the air. Then just as he was about to look up, one of his eyes got pulled out by the gray-skinned demon.

~ROOOAARRR!!!

"Riku. Fetch." The gray-skinned demon said as he threw the dragon's eyeball towards the gigantic black python.

...

"LET'S GO NOW!!!" Ori shouted as he quickly flew off into the distance. Together with him was Lydia and the red-scaled dragon.

"Markus... I will avenge you one day! I will f*ck that demon up one day!!!" The red-scaled dragon shouted furiously.

"Lydia, why didn't you tell us about these demons earlier?!!"

"It's not my fault! I only learned it from Jay a few hours ago!" Lydia rebutted.

Then suddenly, out of nowhere, an eerie and harsh voice talked to the three of these dragons.

"Flee lizards. I will let you live for now. But stay out of my way in the future or you'll end up in Riku's belly."

--- Glimmertree Castle ---

The moment Jay and co. fled at high speed towards the city, King Balor, the ruler of Glimmertree city immediately ordered his men to help Jay and co.

Everyone besides Jay was brought to the infirmary. As for Heda, King Balor entrusted the monster essence she was sealed in to the beast tamer guild in the city.

...

Castle Library...

Jay and King Balor were currently seated around a table. King Balor was had a chubby physique and he had brown hair.

"Thank you for tending to us my lord." Jay said as he looked at King Balor. He had a ghastly look on his face, still worrying about everyone's condition.

"Don't worry about it. It's all I can do to repay you guys for saving Queen Auburn. But anyways, what happened to you guys?" King Balor asked with a serious tone.

Jay decided its for the best to tell King Balor about what happened to them. But he did not went into much detail regarding the demons being planar invaders.

"Demons near our sacred sanctuary! Goddamn it! Don't worry, I will send all of my best men to clean those demons up!" King Balor said confidently while pissed off when he thought of those demons loitering around Glimmertree Sanctuary. If he knew that the treant resting within the sanctuary was dead, he might have erupted from anger already and who knows what he will do.

"I'd advise you against doing that my king. My friends who were injured are already around the 6th tier of their respective classes. Two of them were mortally wounded. Two of them became deaf. And one of us almost died if not for those dragons stepping in." Jay said, not knowing that Boras was only a 4th tier gunner.

Then suddenly, a knight rushed inside the library and shouted.

"My king! Three dragons are approaching the city at a fast pace!" Just as this knight was about to await for further orders, two other knights rushed into the room.

"My king! The adventurer's guild is in need of our help. Almost all of their men, including some of their clients, have suffered from attacks of unknown demons."

"My king! We spotted around a hundred of those unknown demons approaching our city! And to make things worse, some of our scouts reported that a large encampment of Holtheim soldiers are also nearby, ready to strike us down!"

When King Balor heard all of these reports, he almost wanted to cry and curse the entire world.

He thought to himself, "Why?! Just what did I do wrong for all of these things to happen?!! My city... my ancestors... my people..."

As for Jay, he knew that the three dragons were the ones who helped them. But when he heard the two other reports...

"JAY! LEAVE THIS CITY NOW! LISTEN TO ME, PLEASE!!! YOUR FRIENDS ARE DOOMED, THIS CITY IS DOOMED!" The Chicken Lord shouted to Jay furiously even though he pleaded to Jay.

"This city might be doomed, but it may not be so for my friends..." Jay said with a frown on his face since he knew he was just saying this to make himself feel better. He knew that everyone was really doomed this time.

"Jay. Please listen to him and flee." Hellson suddenly spoke since he knew Jay was in a really desperate and grim situation this time.

"Shut up! I don't care if everyone flees until the ends of this plane! As long as I can protect my friends, I can die at any time I want!" Jay said stubbornly.

"You still remember those orbs in your mind room? The storage orb from Goldwisp's system can store living beings on it for a time being. Just place your friends in there and flee!" Hellson said to Jay.

"What?!!" Jay was shocked when he learned about this. If this was the case, then wasn't the storage orb a bit overpowered?

"HURRY UP AND STOP DAWDLING!" The Chicken Lord shouted at Jay again.

"Wait, how many living beings can it store?" Jay asked Hellson.

"I don't know. But guessing it came from Goldwisp, the Fatelord of Greed, I'm guessing you can store as many as you can." Hellson said hastily.

...

Since this was the case, Jay immediately went to the castle's infirmary and told everyone about his plan to let them stay in his storage orb for the meantime, until they arrive at the guild hall.

"Go ahead and do it. I don't think I can move in this weak body of mine anyways..." Bloody Harvest tried to speak more, but he ended up coughing some blood.

"Don't speak right now. The spell I used can only cure physical injuries. As for debuffs, mental, or soul attacks, Grand Cure is useless against it." Annie said.

"You're hearing is back?" Jay asked.

"Not really. I've tried using my spells to heal myself and Abby, but it has no effect whatsoever. The only reason why it looks like I can hear you is because I am actually using 'Glimpse,' a tier 1 cleric spell that allows me to read someone's thoughts when they are saying something. Of course, I cannot read the thoughts deep in your mind and can only read the thoughts you are about to say out loud." After Annie gave Jay an explanation, he nodded at her before storing her and everyone else in the storage orb.

"Now, time to grab Heda." Jay said softly before heading to the beast tamer guild within the castle.

After doing so and storing Heda's monster essence away in his storage orb, he took out his guild emblem. But this time, instead of contacting only the core members, he contacted everyone who was part of the guild. The normal members and the people working for them.

"Everyone, this is your guild master speaking. Everyone please stop whatever you are doing and immediately head towards the guild hall. Gather inside the guild hall, it does not matter where, as long as you are inside the guild hall."

After this, Jay left the castle and went to greet the three dragons heading towards the city.

...

--- Outskirts of Glimmertree City...

"He's coming." Lydia told the two dragons flying with her.

Since that was the case, the three of them landed on the ground and waited for Jay. Then after a few seconds, Jay suddenly appeared, as if he came out of the shadows.

"Thanks for the help earlier. But I'm guessing that you guys are also trying your best to flee?" Jay asked.

"Human! You better remember this favor! My brother died for you and your friends!" The red-scaled dragon approached Jay and coiled him around his tail.

"Bacchus! Release him!" The Dragon King, Ori, shouted.

"F*ck off Ori! You can't tell me what to do! Why don't you just bootlick that new queen of yours!" Bacchus, the red-scaled dragon shouted furiously before getting pounced over by Ori. Of course, Bacchus accidentally released Jay due to this as he was sent tumbling on the ground.

"I dare you to say that again!" Ori shouted furiously and threatened Bacchus.

"Kiss the f**king a** of your new queen." Bacchus said before suddenly releasing a fire breath, targeting Ori.

"CHILL THE F**K OUT!" Lydia tried to mediate the fight between these two since they were only feeling edgy due to the bronze-scaled dragon, Markus, dying in front of them.

"Just stop! You saw what those demons are capable of and you are still fighting amongst yourselves! War is almost upon us, enemies from all sides, and the inhabitants of this continent is like bickering children!" An angry voice suddenly came from the skies as a fairy-like person descended. This fairy-like person was surrounded by some kind of light that prevented anyone from seeing her true form besides the butterfly-like wings she had.

"Especially you Jay Castle! I thought you've already learned to just remain idle after Nixon's warning, but you just wouldn't listen!"

When Jay saw this fairy-like person, he was immediately shuddering since the aura coming from her was just too much. It was as if she can just snap her fingers and kill everyone else within the vicinity.

"Izumi! Just what are you doing?! I told you that the fate of our plane rests within this man!" Hellson suddenly appeared, floating above Jay. To be precise, it was just a soul projection of him since he was stuck within Jay due to some reasons.

"Hellson?! You're still alive?" The fairy-like person, who turned out to be Izumi, exclaimed in shock.

Of course, due to all of these commotion from the two fatelords, the dragons stopped as they watched. This was the first time they've experienced seeing and feeling the aura of a Fatelord, and they shuddered in awe and fear.

"Let's go somewhere else to talk things out." Izumi said before snapping her fingers and teleporting everyone away. Including the three dragons included in this demon incident.
