Middle School

A black-haired boy with red eyes was walking in the streets. despite being only 13 years old, the boy was already 170cm or 5'5" feet. he was in deep thoughts and you would think that he wasn't paying attention to his surroundings.
*Michio's Thoughts*
Walking towards my new school, I was thinking about the system. currently, I have attribute points and quite a lot. I just remembered that attribute points are earned on games or on training but progress is slow.
attribute points are also needed to increase my stats. coins are also needed with them, but when I will start playing 5v5 games on the middle school stage my income will increase.
I still don't know about the network though, maybe the system isn't fully activated yet? in NBA 2k21 you have a fanbase and a big fanbase allows you to receive big contracts.
But how will I earn fans on the middle school stage damn...
Let's focus on what we have at the moment, I have more than 300 attribute points and they are enough. income of coins will increase soon. and other than that everything looks fine.

Michio entered through the school door and saw a big hall, many students were present.
Michio was attending Keisei Middle School. (I found the name on the internet, sorry I just don't know Japanese middle schools. )
Keisei Middle School was one of the best schools in Tokyo. students here were good in academics and in sports activities too. but school was still mainly concentrated on education. Even if sports activities were supported by the school with funds their level wasn't that high.
The main reason why Michio entered this school was, that it was near his house. His mother and father didn't have to worry about him and also in the future his brother will also attend this school and he won't have to drag his brother with him.
Michio currently was searching for his class. walking through hallways and it wasn't hard to find his class, because it was on the first floor.
"Class 1-B? huh... " muttered Michio looking at the door in front of him.
Michio opened doors and entered the classroom. most of the seats were already taken. fortunately for him, these desks didn't have nameplates on them so he could take any of them.
he observed the classroom for the best seat and he found one. desk in the last row near the window. Just like badass anime character heh...
He walked towards his desk and took a seat. He then turned to his class and started observing them. some of his new classmates were talking, some were just sitting for themselves.
"Can I have the attention of everyone, please! " shouted some girl with blond-pink hair and purple eyes
Everyone in the classroom turned towards her.
"Since we will be classmates for the next 3 years, let's introduce ourselves. " the girl suggested
"Yeah, that's a good idea. "
"Why not. "
almost everyone in the class agreed.
"Then, I will be first. I'm Ichinose Honami, I like reading books and want to be friends with you. Let's get along and have nice 3 years. " said Honami
Introductions went on. student after student till it reached Michio.
"Now it's your turn. " said Honami looking at me.
"I'm Haga Michio, I don't particularly have a hobby, but I enjoy playing and training in basketball since I want to be a professional basketball player. It's nice to meet you all and I hope we can become friends. Let's have a good 3 years. " said Michio in a calm tone
Everyone was looking at him and Michio felt uncomfortable because they weren't just looking they were staring. Some girls even had pink on their cheeks.
"Nice to meet you too Haga-kun. Hope we can be good friends. " said Ichinose to Michio who nodded and sat back.
Soon their homeroom teacher came, and they started talking about school. since it was the first day of school they didn't have any lessons.
After finishing exams he went to search for a basketball gym, he didn't see any stand where he could register/join clubs so he thought that it will be done in the gym.
The gym actually was a separate building and the whole building was only for basketball and volleyball clubs. Inside there were 2 courts with.
There were a lot of seats and a lot of students gathered there.
'I guess they are just doing homework there... on the first day...' thought Michio and once again started looking for basketball club members.
He just waited for someone on a nearby seat. He took out his phone and started scrolling youtube videos.
Soon enough someone came with a basketball, he was wearing shorts and a t-shirt without sleeves. seeing him Michio stood up and went to him.
Michio approached the boy.
"Excuse me, are you perhaps in basketball club? " asked Michio
"Yes, why? want to join? " asked the boy
"Yeah, I wanted to join the basketball club. " replied Michio and pointed at his sports bag.
"Great! go there, it's the locker room. change and come here quickly! " said the boy and pointed at the locker room.
Michio didn't say anything and went directly to the locker room. after opening the door, he could smell it... It didn't smell of sweat. It was perfume.
'Did someone spilled 1 liter of perfume? ' Michio asked himself not understanding who could have so much perfume on basketball training.
When he finally entered the locker room he saw few individuals. One had long black hair, with a tall slim body and probably perfume was coming from his because he was looking at himself in the mirror.
'Stylish boy. ' thought Michio
The second one had spiky orange hair, and his body was well defined.
The third had short brown hair, black eyes, and a slim body buy he could see some muscles.
And fourth had silver hair, with defined body and face expressions was more like a beast than a Human.
Finally, four of them noticed Michio and turned to him.
"Oh! Newbie, and only 1? " exclaimed the short-brown haired boy
The orange-haired boy then approached Michio.
"Welcome to the team, I'm Rensuke Kunigami. " said Kunigami and outstretched his hand for a handshake.
"Nice to meet you too, Name's Haga Michio by the way. " said Michio and accepted Kunigamis handshake.
Michio meanwhile checked Kunigami's stats.

Kunigami's stats were quite big for a middle schooler. Judging from his body he will be quite strong in the post.
Then he checked the guy with long black hair.

Jyubei was the tallest player in the room but he didn't have muscle mass at all.
'Stickman...' thought Michio
He then glanced at the 2 remaining players in the room. First, he saw the stats of a brown-haired boy.

Michio checked the rating of all players in this room and felt, disappointed. Even if they are just middle schoolers. he expected at least an OVR Rating of 75.
He is an OVR Rating of 75, for a middle schooler, this is a high level. He didn't even enter the middle school stage yet. With official matches, he will get not only coins but also upgrades for badges.
And this time he will upgrade badges wisely not as he did in NBA 2k21.
"Quickly change, why are you standing there? " Kunigami asked Michio who was in deep thoughts
"I'm observing my future teammates. " Michio snapped back to reality and quickly responded
"Well, then you better hurry up and change into something more comfortable. " said Kunigami who looked at Michio's school uniform.
Michio didn't reply and just sat on a nearby bench and started changing his clothes. When he removed his shirt, everyone in the room narrowed their eyes.
Michio was only 13 years old at the moment, but his muscles weren't. No 13 years old boy would achieve such muscles with normal training. even if they weren't bulky, those sharp edges on muscles really startled everyone in the room, especially his shoulders and biceps.
"For first-year, you have well-developed muscles. " said Kunigami who closely observed Michios body
"Yeah, I got that a lot. I don't try to do simple exercises like push-ups, I prefer something more ... unique let's say. " Replied Michio
'Of course, I won't tell them that my body develops like that because of the system. ' said Michio in his mind. It would matter what training he does his body will eventually develop in the most optimal way for his playstyle because of the system.
"I wanted to ask, how many club members do we have? " Michio asked wondering why there were only 4 people in the locker room.
"Well, we have only 3 third-years and us 4 second-years in the basketball club, right now third years are in the coach's office. " Kunigami answered Michio's question
They didn't talk more after this and just changed their clothes, then they quickly made their way towards the court and other members of the club were already waiting for them there.
"Finally you guys are here, I also heard that there is someone who wants to join the club. " said the man with black hair and pot-haircut.
'For some reason, he reminds me, someone...' Thought Michio looking at the man in front of him who was smiling and shining.
"Yes, sir. I wanted to join the basketball club. " said Michio while raising his hand.
"That's very youthful of you! let's train together and show our youthfulness to the whole country on nationals! " exclaimed the man.
"Coach what should we do for today? " asked someone probably third-year.
"Today is the first day, so let's just play. " said another third year.
Others also agreed, including the coach. teams were formed.

'So that's their names, I didn't check their ratings yet. ' Thought Michio while glancing at third years and coach.
(Coach is also playing. Decided to name him Iwao but I will still call him Coach in the future. )
"So what positions do you play? " Third-year Takeo asked me.
"Point Guard. " I quickly replied
"That's good, I will play as center then. It's a 4v4 game so let's just have fun. " said Takeo who was not serious about playing at all.
"It's not important having a position in the 4v4 game, let's just start already. " said Kunigami.
The team nodded and we took place on one half of the court. the game will be on one hoop (Just playing on half court. )
"Okay, guys you start since you have the first year in the team. " said third-year Daisuke from the opposing team
'For some reason that angered me. ' Thick mark grew on Michio.
"Let's begin. " said Michio with a serious tone.

Next chapter will be about match, and I will try and write it with as much details as I can. I it won't be like "Michio ran towards basket and scored. ". as I said I will try and write detailed match with every move explained.
