Ronin died a tragic death at the hands of a Mutate, a human who had consumed the cores of zombies after the Earth went though a terrible apocalypse. Despite having tried his best, he was never able to defeat and consume a zombie core, as by the time he had gained enough courage to do so, the zombies had mutated too far for him to be able to defeat even a single one. However, instead of dying, Ronin returned to the past with his knowledge and courage to kill zombies and finally become a Mutate himself, and he was happy to find that he awakened an incredible power.
