Amy

"Goddamn those brothers o' yours," Bradley said, slightly laughing. He was picking up the loose shells and broken beer bottles. "If I had friends like that, who knows what shit I'd be gettin' myself into!"

Vincent looked at him with a strange expression. Bradley stopped laughing and continued picking up the bottles. Vincent sat there, on the front doorstep, thinking about what happened.

So now they don't trust me. What now? Is the leader going to have me removed? Or am I going to be sold out to Kramer and the Billy Boys? Even if it was just the shoes… They still suspected me of not knowing. What if they find out? That can't happen. I won't let it.

Mayhem stood next to the gas tank as he waited for the car to fill up. I sat, waiting for him to finish. My phone buzzed, and I waited for a moment to pull it out. As I saw who the message was from, I sighed heavily. My girlfriend, Amy Krance. She was the last person I wanted to deal with right now.

A.K.- Where are you?

C.K.- I was busy with Alex. Sorry, I forgot about today.

A.K.- Can you come now? My parents left me at home.

As much as I didn't want to today, I agreed. See, any other day I would have been happy too, but Amy picks the worst days for this. I sighed heavily again and sat back.

"My god." I heard Mayhem say from outside the car. It always made me laugh to hear his reaction to the price every time. He got back in. "Gas prices."

"Listen, I offered to pay so stop acting like you were the hero," I said.

"Shut up, Clancy." He said, laughing a bit.

"Anyways, I need to go to Amy's. I forgot about a meet-up today. This is how you can thank me for hanging out today." I said. Mayhem laughed with me and agreed. It was good to laugh once and a while.

We arrived at the house ten minutes later. I said goodbye to Mayhem, and I walked up to the porch. The doorbell camera turned on, and I stared at it. I heard a laugh from inside, and Amy opened the door. She had the camera feed on her phone.

"You look cute when you don't smile, Clancy." She turned away and laughed again. "This is your new contact photo for sure!"

"Okay. Okay. Now what is it you need me for?" I asked, not entering the house. She turned back to me and frowned. She looked hurt.

"We were supposed to hang out today. But you went with Alex instead." She said. Well, she was right. I did forget about meeting up. But I am here now. I sighed and walked inside. Amy's house was small but spacious. She lived with her mother, so there were only a few rooms in the house. There was always something comforting about it, I have to admit. I walked into the living room to wait for her and stood above the couch. I studied the room, noticing a few changes since I was last here less than a week ago. I waited for a few seconds and she walked in holding something.

"You promised me we would watch this next time." She said, holding a DVD now that I could see better. She opened the case and put the disc in the cable box. I walked over to where she placed the DVD and slightly laughed as I looked at it.

"Amy, are you sure you want to watch this?" I asked.

We spent the next hour and a half watching "American Psycho". I had previously seen the film many times, but I could always watch it again. I laughed at the same scenes that I always did, where Bateman returns his tapes, and when he and Luis are in the bathroom, only this time I had Amy clinging to me every kill. I have to say, it wasn't a bad night. The time was now 8:34, around the time I usually left. I didn't leave for a while this time.

"You know, Clancy. You shouldn't be messing with Billy Kramer anymore. He needs to be put in prison." She said, with a glance.

"I know, but it's always him who instigates it. But yes, I know." I said. She turned over on the couch and sat up right next to me. She put her arms around my neck in a slight hug and smiled.

"You and your excuses." She said jokingly. I turned to her, our faces an inch apart. I looked into her eyes, which always transfixed me.

"Amy, sometimes you are the only person in existence I can relate to. Never change." I said, returning the hug. We talked more about school and classes, and at 9:03, there was a hard rapid knock on the door. I stood up and started towards it.

"Clancy, my mom won't be home until-" Amy started. I opened the door as the knock started again. There stood Mayhem, Ash, Vito, and Dirk. Just what I needed right now.

"Why. Are. You. Here." I said, angrily. Everyone but Mayhem took a slight step back. I heard Amy get up, and I motioned for her to stay down. "I will ask once more, Alex. Why are you here?"

"Clancy. We found them. We found the safe house." Vito said, excitedly. My eyes got wide. My jaw almost dropped.

"You're kidding!" I almost yelled. I ran over to Amy who was standing up, and hugged her. "I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you."

"You always do." She said with a smile.
