11 Chapter 11

"Come in." Francisco called his children to his office earlier. His children never listened to him, it took them almost 1 hour to see him after his 4 months travel to the capital, and they even used their tutor as an excuse to delay meeting him.

"What is it father?" Matthew decided to open his spiteful mouth first just one second upon entering while Mellisa looked completely bored and unbothered to even greet him.

"Now tell me what's with the two of you?" Francisco didn't understand his children, he tried but it was too late already, the only thing he could resort into was straight forward relationship similar to his and his business partner's relationship.

"What are you talking about father? Nothing is up with us." Matthew quickly denied.

But then, even though they didn't have normal father-child relationship, Francisco knew when something was up.

"You know father, about that child, can you explain?" Mellisa opened her mouth for the first time.

Francisco stared at them for a while.

"She was an orphan, I decided to adopt her. Her name is Celestina, she's 7… I think."

Matthew looked almost betrayed by his father, his father were never a emotionally forward man, he made his decision based on logic but this decision to adopt that little girl seem to be a decision of emotional.

"I understand, we'll take our leave now." Mellisa grabbed Matthew and walked out of his office.

While Francisco watched his children in helplessness, Louise decided to voice out his words.

"Master, I think you should learn how to speak your mind more." He looked at his duke in pity.

"What are you talking about?" Francisco who didn't have an idea about what his right-hand man was talking about, frowned and his eyebrow raised.

"They'll misunderstand what you said, master. The young master and young miss are still children after all, you need to explain it properly to them for them to understand." Louise explained.

"Really? I thought I made myself clear." Louise seriously wondered how this master of his could be so success with such a muddled brain.

"I think you should talk to them more, master." Louise strengthen his mental up and spoke in a braver tone instead of giving a recommendation.

"Fine. I will finish this stash of paperwork first." Francisco felt his head breaking apart at the sight of the mountain of papers. It has just been awhile since he was gone, and he even did some paperwork with him in capital, yet this mountain of paperwork never got less.

"Miss, would you like to have hot choco?" Ever since Celestina arrived to her room, she has finished her bath, her lunch, her clothes measuring and now she's relaxing in a little sofa looking outside.

"Yes please, thank you Ginny." Ginny placed a cup of hot choco and a plate of cookies on the table in front of her. The hot choco smell filled her nose and Celestina was reminded of the hot choco that she drank every winter. She suddenly missed her home.

Ginny felt her moods shift and thought she was tired so she got out of the room and asked the servants outside to be silent.

When Celestina finished reminiscing about her last life, her hot choco was already finished and some cookies were left in the plate. Her stomach was already full and she suddenly felt the need for a nap.

"No nap. I've had enough sleep." Celestina made a mental to-do-list in her mind and started walking out after she's done. She met Ginny who looked shock at her.

"Aren't you going a sleep miss?" Ginny immediately took a coat and placed it over Celestina's shoulder.

"I feel so full, let's go on a walk Ginny." Ginny lead her around the large mansion and introduced her to things she's never seen before.

After a while of walking around the mansion, Celestina saw two figures walking toward her.

"Greetings to young miss and young master." Ginny bowed slightly and greeted the two children.

"You don't need to do that Ginny." The girl replied and held Ginny hand up. "We've known you since we're babies, you practically raised us. How could we received greetings from you?" She continued saying.

Giinny looked flattered by her words and instantly replied she's just doing her job.

"So, you are?" The boy stepped forward and pointed at Celestina.

"My name is Celestina, nice to meet you." First impression need to be good… first impression need to be good, Celestin thought as she tried to calm herself over the boy's impolite behavior. According to Ginny's greeting, the two must be Mellisa and Matthew, the villain.

"I'm Mellisa, he's Matthew. Please forgive his for his rude behavior." Mellisa said kindly. 'The girl didn't do anything wrong' she thought. 'Not to mention, she's so cute and small.' Mellisa felt like she understood the reason her father adopt this girl.

"Celestina is it? How is it here?" Mellisa held her arms and started walking with her while Matthew looked betrayed by his sister's behavior. He knew why his sister behaved that way. 'She's a sucker for cute looking people' But how can she betrayed his over a cute face? He admit this little girl was indeed very cute and she's so petite that he felt like he wanted to protect her.

'What… was it thinking?' When he was done sorting out his thought, Celestina and Mellisa were already walking faraway and leaving his on his own. He felt like he might miss something if he didn't join them, so he ran toward the two girls.

"W-wait up!"

"Look at that… he finally snap out of his mind." Mellisa giggled and said to Celestina who also giggled at his cuteness. She felt like he's a tsundere.

Feeling the young master running toward them and seeing the two young miss getting along well made Ginny felt like she's a proud mom.
