Adria looked in Ditto's eyes, and memories from past, her old wounds from her first love, started to resurface, replaying themselves in Adria's mind. How heartbroken she felt when she had to leave the school to leave for black tower because she messed up a small task given to her. And how, when she came back, the only reason for her coming back was gone, vanished without a trace.
She remembers how a beautiful girl made her way towards her; pestering her and she running in a vain attempt to avoid her.
"Why can't you just stop running, I want to be your friend, I don't eat I promise." She said, smiling.
"I do." She scoffed at her, smirking. "But I don't want to be your friend, pretty girl, why can't you understand?"
"The name is Su Yiran, you can also call me Ditto. Nice to meet you."
"Oh my my, okay, okay, Miss Su-" She waved in front of her, dramatically.
"I said, Ditto." Ditto said, a ghost of smile hanging on her lips.
"Okay, umm, Ditto. I am here to study, not to make friends, can you please leave me alone? So many people want to be your friend, why can't you just be friends with them? They'll be so happy if you'd do so. But please, leave me alone, okay?"
"Exactly, I am here to study too. But they keep pestering me wherever I go. So, you can be my friend? They are so afraid of you, you know. You radiated that aura that if they'll get close to you you'll give a karate chop and knock their head off their shoulder. If you'll be my friend, no one will dare to bully me ever again. Please, pretty please?" She asked her, eyes shining hopefully. She remembers not being able to say no that little face.
Adria couldn't help but think, it was hard on her. She was going crazy, all this time, she was replaying everything in her head, and when she at last was in her room, where once her beloved lived, she was devastated to learn that she was too late. Too late to see her. Too late to save her.
But not anymore. She'll love her, as she wish, as she'll wish her to. They will stay here, in this unknown land, unknown to everyone. They'll make a place for themselves in this large city, where they'll belong to each other. Caresses won't be limited to shadows only. They'll touch and intertwine their hands in public, in front of everyone. Yes. She has decided this. No more running away, just to come back crawling because your heart won't listen, and find that your love is in filthy claws, violated against their will. She will be there, with her.
She will watch her as they'll drift to sleep. And she'll wake up and watch her morning face, count her fluttering eyelash, kiss her good morning.
A new life is waiting for them, and she'll live it fully.
