Machine head

The time of day was now midnight, the moon shone brightly illuminating the night Sky creating a beautiful view of the night, of course due to the high levels of light pollution on the Chicago skyline no one in the city could properly see it.

Within one of the many high-rise buildings of the city, a man wearing a cream white suit with a blue tie stood before the window and watched the city from above. His head was a metallic machine made in the shape of a human head.

It was the head of a robot or android that was surgically connected to the body of a living human. To the eyes of any scientist, this man would be considered a groundbreaking leap in the area of cybernetics and biology. However, whether he feels that way about himself is unknown.

"Isotope, bring them in"

He commanded, his voice being autotuned, making It seem like he was singing whatever he was saying. It was a feature he unfortunately couldn't turn off. However, it did bring some amusement to his cursed existence.

"You got it boss"

Isotope heeded the command and teleported to the door.

"The door is like ten steps away. You can just walk"

Machine head complained, but Isotope simply shrugged his shoulders as he opened the door and let the guests in.

"you know I don't appreciate being made to sit an hour just so you could brood"

Kevin was the first to speak as he entered the room, causing Titan to tap him with his elbow, telling him to watch himself.

"I'm a rich underground kingpin, I can do whatever the fuck I want"

Machine head stated with his autotune voice, more amused by the kid's boldness rather than actually insulted.

"plus you destroyed my highly expensive doors when you entered the building so that deserves punishment, ask black rocky over there, I don't play about my furniture"

Titan confirmed with a nod when Kevin looked at him.

"fair"

Kevin shrugged his shoulders and decided to let the matter go, it wasn't really a complaint he actually cared about.

"so I'm assuming you strong armed Mr opposite skin coloured rock over here to take you to me because you think you have something I would want"

" Oh nah! "Opposite skin coloured rock" is crazy. You gonna let him cook you like that?"

Kevin asked with a bit of a chuckle, Titan said nothing at all, his face remained stoic. Although it was easy to tell he definitely didn't like the insult.

"What's he going to do? I know where his family lives, plus he deserves it, he keeps letting go of the people I tell him to kill."

Titan turned his head to look away from Machine head, lamenting the fact that he just put his family in greater danger but also knowing he was too useful for machine head to throw him away.

"Anyway, I have an offer for you Machine head, and I'm sure you'll like it"

"Uh-huh! What is it, you robbed a bank and took diamonds from the safe and now you want to sell them to me?"

Machine Head stated, trying to convey a monotone voice however his voice could not do that as so the sentence came out as a lyric to a song instead of what he wanted to convey.

"quite intuitive, I guess having a robot brain helps in that regard"

"No you fucking moron, that's how all the upstart gangsters and wannabe mobsters try to get their start, it's not something new"

Machine head took a seat on his chair and pointed at Isotope, implying that's how his bodyguard got started in this world too.

"Ok fair,but you gotta admit there is merit to the strategy, it's fast and easy plus–"

"Plus I get to have a new pawn, so you're right about it being easy"

Without warning Isotope used his ability to suddenly teleport two more individuals into the room.

One of them was a buff, muscular and heavy hitting member of the lizard league, along with another villain who looked to be some sort of living lava man.

Of fucking course, well it's not like I came here not expecting a fight.

Kevin thought as he quickly took a fighting ready stance and put his guard up.

"I appreciate you reaching out to me kid but I don't need diamonds or whatever you came to negotiate with me, I'm already rich with plenty of assets both legal and illegal"

The Machine headed villain informed standing up from his chair and looking back to the window.

"But what I do need are expandable pawns, and seeing how you probably successfully robbed a bank, knowing enough about this underworld to come to me directly means you're at least smart and I need smart people."

Machine head explained as his voice became more menacing as he spoke, the two individuals that were teleported in by Isotope became battle ready, as the tension in the room began to rise.

Machine head was the type who valued talent, especially when he can get it for free, it was why he never planned on letting Titan free from his clutches, although Titan wasn't expandable, however the moron he brought in his office was.

"First of all, no and second of all I didn't just bring diamonds"

Kevin then transformed his arm into that off diamond and then transformed his hand into a hammer, effectively creating a hammer made from pure diamond.

Turning his other hand into a diamond shaped axe he then used it to cut off the hammer and then reformed his arm back to normal, a good perk of his power was that he could regenerate as long as he maintained the transformation and the part that was cut off doesn't revert back to normal.

Kevin then returned his arms back to normal and picked up the hammer and showed it to Machine head.

"bam! A hammer made out or literal diamond, and you don't have to worry about removing the serial number"

Everyone in the room had their eyes bulged, Titan nearly exclaimed "holy shit" what Kevin had presented to them was unprecedented.

Audible beeps and bops resounded in the room as Machine-head looked at Kevin's display, he may not need diamonds however with a power like that, he basically has an infinite money glitch.

"Ahahaha! You little bitch!! Why didn't you lead with that kid? Now you have my attention. what do you want?"

Machine head asked as his Interest was peeked, his machine brain already thinking I various ways this power could be useful to him.

"There's a few things I want, however I'll make this clear right now, this will be a business deal, I will not be your underling, you pay me for whatever material you want, for 1 kg of gold, diamond, platinum or whatever mineral you want will cost $100k. This is non negotiable"

Kevin explained, he didn't really think selling 1kg of diamonds for a 100k was actually a good deal, however, he didn't really care for the money, plus he was certain other crime bosses would contact him once news of him starts circulating the underworld so eventually he'll get more than enough money.

"kid, you either a dumb fucking moron or you're genius, I don't care either way, you've got yourself a deal. Isotope"

Machine-head spoke with clear amusement in his voice, the man was practically singing as he said all that.

Heeding the command, Isotope teleported two brief cases in his hands and walked to hand them over to Kevin.

"both those briefcases have 50k each, Don't leave Chicago, I'll have somethings things I want to discuss with you later"

Receiving the briefcases Kevin spoke with a smile on his face.

"Nice doing business with you, Machine head. However the no leaving Chicago part is dependent on a lot of things, so you'll just have to hope I don't leave"

"fair enough"

Machine head shrugged his shoulders, deciding not to press the issue. The kid was a golden goose, he cannot lose him right when he just got him
