CHAPTER 28: ALMOST FOUR DAYS

"Did you see that girl Devron" he asked one of his boys behind him still smiling.

"Yes Boss, she's very pretty" Devron answered with all honesty trying as hard as possible not to show his interest in the girl since his Boss was already interested in her.

"She's got to be a fresher right"

"Yes Boss,I think so"

Turning around,he faced Devron " now I want you to follow her and get every information you can about her,I want the report by evening" Zoddy commanded before he turned around to leave with the other boys.

"Yes Boss" Devron answered before he turned around and followed Alicia.

As soon as Alicia arrived at the class,to her greatest surprise,she met alot of students already in the hall, perhaps it was a normal thing for freshers to be excited about attending lectures early and all that but then as the time went on,the thrill would then be replaced by weariness and that's when the nonchalant attitude of not attending class would begin.

Alicia entered the noisy Hall and took her seat on the third row,she was still shivering from fear after her encounter with those scary looking boys,she prayed that she never encountered them again.

Well,in order to ease herself,she brought out her phone and began to play a game so as to get distracted, especially from the noise too.

27 minutes later, Nikkie and her crew arrived and Alicia finally had company as they began to gist amongst themselves, however,40 minutes had gone by but the lecturer was yet to arrive, ' what could have happened', at this point everywhere had gone dark and windy because it seemed to be about to rain.

The students though unsure of wether the class would hold again or not still decided to wait for another 30 minutes but still the lecturer didn't show up which indirectly meant that the class may have been cancelled without their knowledge or the Lecturer just couldn't make it.

To the 200 level- 500 Level students,it would actually be a joyful occasion if a lecturer failed to come to class but in the case of the 100 levels,it was an extremely sad thing.

Left with no other choice, students with cars began to head out of the class to their hostel residence while majority stayed back simply because of the threatening rain that they didn't want to drench them if it were to fall,it was already 4:32pm and evening was fast approaching,.

Alicia because of the threatening rain decided to stay back to chat with her friends more but at the same time,she was frequently glancing at her watch to make sure that she stayed no longer than 5:30pm for fear of getting lost again.

It was just few minutes past 5 when the girls after noticing the rain wouldn't fall just yet decided to head back to their hostels so they didn't get stuck when the rain came because it looked like it was gonna be a heavy downpour,the five girls finally made their way out of the hall and headed downstairs.

Downstairs, Alicia bid Nikkie and her friends goodbye before they parted ways since their hostels were in opposite directions.

The day was still a bit lit but Alicia hastened her steps towards her hostel especially when she felt as though someone's eyes were on her.

She hurriedly walked without even bothering to look back,she was just about to divert to the main block that led to her hostel when she heard her name from behind her.

"Alicia"

At first Alicia felt scared but then in less than a second,she relaxed because she seemed to immediately recognize the voice and she turned around and upon seeing his smiling face as he walked up to her,she smiled back,where had he been?

"Hey Ryan,good evening" she greeted as she stood watching him walk towards her,he was with a tall average good looking guy whose eyes and mouth had gone wide open like saucers the moment he saw her face.

"Evening, Alicia,how you doing"

"I'm good,it's been quite a while" Alicia smiled

"Yeah"

"Where have you been" Alicia asked remembering that it's been almost 4 days since she last saw him.

"Erm,well I haven't been on campus for about three days now as I had to head home for some family emergency stuff,I only arrived few minutes ago"

"Oh,but I hope everything's fine back at home"

"Yeah,sure, everything's cool" he quickly replied still smiling as he inched closer to her. " So I was just driving past when I saw you and so I was wondering if you, you'd like to grab dinner with me" he added scratching his forehead,he'd actually been so busy these past three days that he couldn't even chat her up but now that he was back,he planned to make up for it however, Alicia was quick to politely decline his offer as soon as her eyes travelled to the sky only to see that it was already very dark and lightening beginning to tear the sky apart,this rain was surely gonna come down in torrents tonight.

"I'm so sorry Ryan,I already have my dinner here with me and besides I have to hurry to the hostel because I have some work to do this evening,how about we fix it some other time" she offered looking apologetic.

Ryan although disappointed managed to nod his head,perhaps they could really fix it some other time, maybe tomorrow.

"Ok then " he replied

"Thanks for your understanding,I'll see you around then"

"Yeah sure take care,bye"

"Bye" Alicia waved at him before she turned to finally go.

Unknown to any of them,a black Prada Jeep parked quite far from them was busy following them bit by bit,the driver with a cigarette in his hand had his eyes zeroed in on Alicia as he smirked licking his lips,he had followed her all the way from when she finished her class as he was determined to find out her hostel residence,he puffed his cigarette in an expert manner before his bloodshot eyes darted towards Ryan who was still staring at Alicia's retreating figure,it seemed he and his gang members would have to pay him a warning visit.
