Adapting

The sun was shinning brightly as the car drove through the street, the sun kissed her face as the car windows rolled down.Roxana was lost in thought imagining if her father was still alive, he would be the one to drive her.He would nagged her till she felt her ear was going blast by his nagging. Her father was the only family member she had and the person who loved her the most in this world.

Today is her first day in college, her father would have been proud to see her now studying in Northern University which she had always wanted. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to accompanied her in her new journey. Roxana came back to her sense when she heard her Aunt called her name.

Aunt Beth was trilled to drive her and Rian,as she was trying to help her adapt,knowing she wasn't happy in this place without her father.

Rian was in his senior year of college about to graduate in Computer Science. Roxana major was English as she was unable to choose or maybe she felt she wouldn't excelled in any of the course. In the end she choose English Literature.

Beth hugged her and said softly,"Good Luck dear. "

Roxana hugged back and murmured,"Thank you Aunt", She felt grateful that her Aunt was there with her in her difficult times. Even though her Father and her Aunt are just cousins. During the time when Roxana refused to stayed with her mother, she was willing to take her in.

Beth turned to Rian and says in a stern voice, "Rian, take care of your sister. "

"I know Mom, you're going to be late for work if you keep nagging me. "

After Beth drove away, Rian turn to Roxana.

"Let go, I'll drop you to your department. "

Roxana took a deep breath and said in a low voice.

"Ok."

" I should never walk alone in this University. "

Roxana sighed after she looked at the big campus for a while.

"Why? " Rian asked.

With a pitiful expression she said, "I'll be lost. "

"Hahaha" Rian laughed out laughed.

He patted her head and said,"Don't worry, I'll pick you up everytime"

After nearly ten minutes of walking she finally found her class. Then Rian told her to find him in the canteen on her lunch break.

Roxana took a deep breath and enter the classroom, she look around and found an empty seat besides the girl in a curly hair. She walk towards the girl and said awkwardly.

"Excuse me, Can I sit here. "

The curly girl happily said, "Sure, sure. "

After Roxana sat down, she introduced herself, "My name is Evelyn Lyngh. "

"What about you? "

"Roxana"

As she was about to continue chatting, the professor enter the room.

The Professor look young and handsome maybe he's in his thirties. He looked gentle, with a smile on his face, his eyes wandered around everyone.

"Welcome everyone,I hope you will have your best four years of college. "

Then the smile on his fade after he welcome them, replaced by a stern look.

"You can call me Mr.Edward, Now we will start our class. "

'Oh my God, at first he looked so gentle and he suddenly turn into a monster. ' Roxana felt like crying when he announced that in the next class he will start asking questions. Since she was in her school year she doesn't have the confidence to speak in front of everyone.
