Chapter 6.15 - Izzy - The Goblin Gang

"They what?" I was talking through a communication device within Virtue to talk to Danielle.

"Like I told you. AIs have started to attack all of our cities. We don't have the manpower to defend all cities."

"Protect the capital. There's no need for me to even win this stupid competition." I told him.

He complied, "As you wish."

The device was then turned off as I put it down to a table. At that time, I was inside the Queen's castle that has been taken by The Goblin Gang. While White and Azreal were outside figuring out what they can do against these AIs that have finally decided to launch another wave of attack. So apparently almost all cities in Virtue were attacked by the AI forces simultaneously.

"Satisfied..." I heard soft grouching voice.

I turned myself back and noticed that Sam Maximus was raising one of her eyebrows.

"Well...at least you're finally talking." I told her.

"Shut up...you don't know what I felt..." She was shivering.

I kept my demeanor and replied, "True. But I do know what happened. And that's enough to make anyone go mental. I'm surprised you're still sane after all of that."

She sulked and said, "A leader must have the resolve to move on and get over it."

"Have you gotten over it?" I looked at her annoyingly.

She then grumbled and said, "Shut up." She pushed me with a gentle push.

Of course she wouldn't be able to get over from what happened to her. It was a horrible experience for anyone who was on the receiving end. Should I try and be nice to Sam after I know what she faced? Not really, I still have vague memory of the time of her being a tyrant to the rest of my classmates. That's something I still can't forgive. But I will however, tolerate.

"One more thing, Sam..." I softly spoke to her.

"What?" she continues to be annoyed.

I told her, "Thanks for telling me about the communication device...At least I know, my own force is alive. Thank you."

"Uh...yeah...sure." she kinda blushed a little as she looks away from me.

A sense of awkwardness fills the entire room. I ended the awkwardness as I noticed an explosion coming from outside.

"What the hell was that?!" Sam jumped.

I walk to the window and saw White and Azreal both were defending the city against the AI forces along with a couple of the Goblin Gang members.

"It's just the boys..." I told her. "Come on, let's find Asgarde and your followers."

She nods, "Sure thing."

We then got out of the room we were in and continued to make our way up into the obvious place where Asgarde and the others would be waiting, the meeting hall and the throne room. So it didn't really took to long before we eventually reached there because there was nobody guarding the interior of the castle at all. Sloppy security. Then again, everyone here in Virtue used to rely it on the AIs. Now that it's no longer viable, I think even this stupid competition rules is becoming obtuse.

"Why do you conduct this tournament anyway, Sam?" I asked her.

"I..." But she wasn't able to say anything further.

"Okay...at least we're here now." I scoff off the topic and set my mind into what's next.

I carefully and slightly opened the door. Through the small gap, I observed whatever was inside. Just as expected, Jarde Asmodius along with Rune Fiore can be seen toying around with their captives.

"So even Rune was conspiring against you, huh?" I wondered.

To which Sam replied, "That damn rat."

Then I told Sam, "In any case, it's only two people. We can fight them. Are you alright?"

She nodded as she clenches her fist.

Together, the two of us kicked the door in style as we pointed our sword and blades at them.

"That's enough you two!" I shouted.

Jarde noticed our arrival, "Well, if it isn't Izzy Nova Crys...whatever your full name is. And looks like you're here to give us back the Queen, I see."

"That's too bad. Because we're not here for that, Jarde." I told him.

Rune then joined in, "Hey did you guys ever found out what we actually did to Sam when you guys tried to save her?"

"Stop..." Sam's voice was too low, they couldn't hear it.

Rune continued, "Oh it felt like cloud nine or something. Sam was...well, magnificent. Her voice. Her looks. And of course, her body." Rune devilishly smirked.

Sam kneels to the floor as she tried to cover her ears. I glanced at her for a moment and focused back at the enemy.

Jarde then added, "And we're not just talking like it was nothing. We had a grand party celebrating our victory. We took turns by the way."

I was pissed, "We are under attack against the AIs and you guys have the time to do this?"

"Hey, it's all that bitch fault." Rune pointed. "She deserved the punishment she got the other day."

"NO ONE DESERVES SUCH PUNISHMENT!" I yelled.

I've had enough of this degenerates. Dozens of magical swords have begun to appear behind me out of thin air. The swords had a glowing yellow aura all over it. Jarde brought out a battleaxe while Rune prepares his javelin.

Rune mocked me, "You're just one girl. You won't stand a chance against us."

I whispered to myself with anger, "Sexist..."

I kicked a chair in front of me and jumped on it as I then landed on top of the huge round table. Rune threw his javelin to which my floating swords immediately blocked it. The javelin then magically returned to its master. A fiery blast approaches me right after that. My swords tries its best to keep me safe, but the fire was so hot that some of them were starting to melt.

I could hear the two of them laughing at me. I stomped one of my foot as I threw the sword that was on my hand toward Jarde. The fire then finally stop because Jarde had to block against my sword. With the window of opportunity, I commanded some of my swords to spin around me as I continued to run toward them. Rune tried to throw his javelin once again but it was completely reflected.

As the javelin was about to return to its master, I caught it and took its ownership as I threw it upward to a chandelier above. It hit chandelier and it crashed down to the middle of the round table, bouncing me off as I get nearer to my target. The dust from the crashed chandelier blinded my foes for a moment but once it was settled it was already too late for Jarde to react as I was standing right behind him. I stopped my blades from moving as I did a spinning heel kick right to his neck. Jarde was sent flying and crashing into the crashed chandelier.

Rune screamed despicably, "Oh god!"

"What's that?" I mocked him, "I thought I was fighting two men right here."

Rune kneels down, "Please, I surrender. Forgive me!"

"Forgive you?" I raised my eyebrows and told him, "Yeah right."

Rune submitted as he tried to bow down before me. He also tried to kiss my boots. But I didn't give him the chance at all as I strike his head with my the heel of my foot. Rune was completely knocked out.

"I guess that settles it. Some men are just plain stupid..."

Then I heard another loud explosion. I looked outside and saw White and Azreal surrounded by hundreds of AIs. It looks like they have tire themselves out. Even I couldn't help him now. It was then I heard the sound of bombastic explosion from...I don't know where. And it wasn't just one explosion. I looked outside and saw that some of it exploded from as far the other city nearby.

Could it be that all cities just suddenly received that explosion? What the heck just happened? And why the kingdom didn't get it? My answers were immediately answered as I noticed that the cloudy sky suddenly opens up and shines the ground as if an angel had arrived. Well, I guess it can be considered an angel because upon closer inspection, a small, silver streaked girl was slowly gliding down from the sky. On her hands as well as her back was an assortment of rocket launchers and a cannon gun. Above her head, there was a computerized writing that wrote 'ADMIN'. I think I know what's going on.

"So that's your girlfriend, White? Your taste in woman are so weird. But I respect that." I laughed.
