Fighting babies

Keith wasn't excited about today's day at all. Why would he be, after all he's being forced to attend the birthday party of the girl who he hates the most. He would just run away if he had an option but he's trapped.

"Look at my luck, I'm getting ready to attend her birthday party. Ugh!" He murmured.

Little did he know how excited she was to have him on her birthday party. Things weren't same from her side, but Keith never had time to realize it.

"Come on people, I'm getting late. I should've been there an hour earlier. What will she think about me? Gosh! It's all because of you brat."

"Don't blame me, I told you to go earlier. But it was you who wanted to take me along with you right away. You could've gone earlier, I'd have come to the party a bit later."

"Yeah yeah. I know how long would your 'a bit' extend to. You'll just show up at the last five minutes of the party, ten minutes if it's a lucky day."

"Don't start it again Ken. I have no mood to fight over this topic right now, especially when you already know that I don't like to attend parties and all."

"Cut the carp Keith. You're always ready to attend parties with dad, you never say no to meet with those old men."

"They're business parties for God's sake Ken."

"Isn't it so funny that you're okay with joining dad to the business parties even when you're just in the last year of high school, way far from joining business but not with parties among family?"

"Let me remind you that I was the one who did all the arrangements for the Christmas party last year."

"Yeah, that was because mom insisted you to do so. Don't forget, you were missing away from the party every now and then. I had to spend most of the time searching for you instead of enjoying the party."

"I don't want to waste my time on those silly games and dances which you call it as having fun."

"Can't you make your words a bit sweet? At least for today?"

"I'm always like that, Ken."

"I swear Keith Merchant, if you dare to talk rudely with her today or spoil her mood in anyway, I'll make sure you won't be able to attend any of the business parties in the future."

'Yeah yeah I know, daddy's princess will find a way to convince dad to stop taking me with him to the parties.'

"What are you mumbling under your breath Keith?"

"Nothing. Don't raise your brows like that. After all, you have done special facial for today's party."

"Don't mock me Kitty!"

"DON'T CALL ME THAT KENZIE MERCHANT!"

"DON'T MOCK ME KITTY!"

"What's going on here?"

Their fight was interfered with a loud and domineering voice coming from the door. They both turned around to see their father standing at the door with his hands on his pocket along with their mom who was glaring at both of them.

Justin Merchant, the CEO of Merchant Groups of Industries and daddy of these two fighting babies had a cold and strict face, though he was laughing in his heart. He always adores his children and the little cat and dog fights they have. It reminds him of his childhood with Abigail, his sister.

Ivana's single glare was enough for them to shut them out. She was always supportive, more like friends to her children than a mother. But they know their mom would be really angry when they'd fight for little things.

"What is the topic of discussion today?"

"Mom, please ask him to behave well today. I don't want him to spoil today's day. You know what she and everything related to her means to me right?"

"Well that's absolutely right Keith. Today is special day for her and every thing should go smooth. Please keep a smile on your face, at least for today."

"Mom..."

"Your mom is right Keith."

"Okay, I'll try to do as you all say but I can't promise."

"Mom he hasn't promised."

"It's okay Ken. I know he won't do anything wrong today."

"Both of you leave on this car. Your mom and I'll come by the next car."

"Okay. Keith let's go."

Kenzie almost dragged him to the car, she was super excited to see her best friend on her birthday. Today was her best friend's birthday which was one of the most important day of her life as well. She was the first one to wish her on her birthday on sharp twelve at midnight like every year.

Here it was a special day for Kenzie but for Keith, it was a day that he wanted to end soon. He was well aware of the chaos in the party, all he was doing right now was to pray that no one would force him to dance or do anything that he doesn't like.

"Make sure you wish her happy birthday with a gentle smile."

"I'll wish her like I do to everyone."

"Nah, wish her like you wish to mom and dad."

"Don't over expect from me Ken."

"What is your problem Keith? She's such a sweetheart, why can't you maintain peace with her?"

"The problem is, I don't like people being around me. Especially her, who always calls me with that carp kind of name. I've been telling her not to call me with that name since last thirteen years but nah!"

"So what Keith? That's a sweet name."

"Oh shut up Ken. Everyone says the same and supports her, after all she's everyone's favourite."

"Because she's a darling."

"Whatever"
