Imprisoned by the CEO

“You will have to marry me and bear me a child.”  “What the fuck?!” Logic flew out of the window when Grace heard him say that. “Excuse me, what did you just say?”  Maybe, she was the one who had heard him wrong. It could have been anything except marrying him and giving him a child.  “You heard me,” Christian tsked, “but I’ll repeat it. Marry me and have my child.”  Her mouth opened and gaped at me. In her mind, she was trying to make sense about what was going on. How in the world had it come to be? What in the world could make the situation come to this?!  “No?” Grace replied, but then realized that the word was not firm enough. “No.” she said again. Christian frowned, and it seemed so innocent like he had not asked her the most unbelievable thing. “Why not? I thought you wanted to help me. You offered.”  “I offered my help, my brain, my support not my,” she hesitated, “stomach!”  What was the word for it? “Womb,” he provided.  “Yes!” She slapped her hand on the table. “You don’t get my womb!”   “I don’t?” He challenged.  “No!”  “What if helping me out means Lorelai coming out of a coma?”  Grace felt her heart drop. “What?”  Christian nodded. “What if helping me out, agreeing to what you have to do for me, means bringing your grandmother out of the, that she is in?”  ******** Grace  was one strong girl and with the people she put her trust in, that was only a small number, she knew she could conquer the world, or at least she thought to herself.  When her best friend proposed a deal that could change their lives, she made a decision that was going to be mutually beneficial to both of them.  But one renovation led to many and everything has been just a game, a manipulation from him. Everything was full of deceit, lies, planning and plotting against her. Every single thing, right down the fact that only he had been her friend…  Everything was a lie and she had been living it, willingly.  Tropes; Friends to lovers, office romance, best friends, frenemies, marriage of convenience, possessive villainous and morally gray heroes!

A date to the Gala - IV

<p>"I firmly believe in mental awareness, especially amongst children from the very beginning. It always starts from there." Grace talked to the woman who was very interested in what she was talking about. <br/>"I love your opinion," she ghussed. "It is very necessary that schools pay equal attention to it. It's not just the responsibility of the parents!" <br/>"I agree," Grace replied with a Bob of her head. She felt an arm circle around her waist and immediately looked around to see Miguel standing there.<br/>"Excuse us Mrs Paltrow," Miguel gave her a professional smile. <br/>"Oh, no, no, don't mind me." Mrs. Paltrow grinned, "Enjoy the night." <br/>Just as Mr Vega turned around greys so the saucy wink Mrs Paltrow sent her way making her eyes widen. What the hell? <br/>She turned around to walk side by side with her boss whose arm remained on her side. <br/>"Has it been too overwhelming for you?" He asked and she shook head. It had been but she could not just agree to it. It was her decision after all to come with him. <br/>Grace nudged him closer. "Do you know when the dinner is? Usually they would serve snacks but they are not feeding tonight." She grumbled, making him dip his head so that no one would see the smile. <br/>"Anyway," he cleared his throat, "we are waiting for the family that has hosted this Gala. He is a friend of mine." <br/>Grace's eyebrows furrowed. She had completely forgotten to check that detail and had clearly focused on what to wear. No matter what does she could not just ask Mr. Vega who it was. <br/>"There they are," Miguel angled them to the entrance so that she could see, "The Miller's." <br/>Miller. <br/>The first to enter was Adrian Miller and right after him was his father; James Miller. <br/>The Millers were here. <br/>Alejandro Vega joined them and this time she gave Grace a polite nod before turning back to his brother. "Marianna is here." <br/>Who? Grace looked at Miguel to see him with his jaw clenched. "What?" He spat. "With who?" <br/>"Him," Alejandro raised his chin and both of them turned around to see Mariana Vega walk in with Christan. <br/>Christian Miller. <br/>"Him?" Miguel spat and Grace tightened his hold on him slightly. He looked over to her. <br/>"Perhaps not the right time." She whispered to him. If Mr Vega decided to create a scene here not only would be embarrassing for his sister but it would be embarrassing for him too. Also at these events there were people who were ready to sell a story.<br/>Without replying he looked to where his sister and her beau for tonight were. "It fucking irritates me more to know that my friend is with my sister." He hissed, mindful of the volume. <br/>Friend? Mr. Vega was friends with Christan? <br/>She stared at the man in question. Christian and Marianna were making their way to them and before long they stood in front of them. <br/>"Christian?" Miguel questioned before crossing his arms but placing them back down when Grace tapped at them. That posture reeked of attitude and not something that was to be done at a Gala. <br/>Christian glanced at Marianna. "I found her at the airport. She missed her flight and I was flying back from Chicago."<br/>Miguel stared at his sister who looked anywhere but him. "And you brought her here?" <br/>Christian's left brow shot up. He glanced at Mariana before moving his eyes to Miguel. "That is something your sister can answer for you. She told me that she was needed here and I could give her a ride." <br/>Oops, Grace tucked her lips in. That was bad. </p>
